The Windy City hasn't had a Republican mayor in over 80+ years, what does that say about the corrupt government? The state has lost population for the last 10 years in a row. To top it off the Billionaire governor wants to be president, that would be a big mistake. It's earned it's nickname Hellinois for a reason.
The thing about Naperville is that there are some mansions, but also some not horribly expensive apartments. You don't have to be rich and powerful to live here.

For instance, Grandview drive outside of Peoria has some of the best views I have ever seen, and there are countless other places in the state that no one talks about. I've been to Boston, LA, NYC, and other places that have an extremely high cost of living and are overrated. Not to mention very congested and difficult to get around. Like many people, I appreciate the smaller things in life.
It shouldn’t be. Very high poverty and many deteriorated neighborhoods. If a downstate community is needed on this list, it should be Champaign-Urbana or Bloomington-Normal.

Great town! The whole Naperville - Downers Grove-Wheaton-Glenn Ellyn area has cute downtowns and great schools
