A good short shifter if you’re not looking to go super notchy is the OEM S3 shifter. It’s probably 70% of the throw length but just as smooth as the stock shifter. I have it paired with a weighted knob and it’s perfect
He didn't dust the F80 the F80 had to switch lanes he did keep up with it though🔥 but had they kept going the M3 Would've ate on top end still impressive
@@randygutierrez2412 kids these days don't be paying attention to races it's a shame I watch a tuned S6 brag about beating a stock M4 then claimed the M4 was a M4cs when it clearly wasn't street racing is lame because of the hype culture they ruin everything smh anyways good run dude🔥🔥
I’m very surprised you haven’t upgraded your shifter bracket yet. DieselGeek Sigma 6 (newest version) is by far the best for this car. I own it. It has the p…p…p…perfect notchy’ness to it, the shortened length is perfect, and it gear shifts and buttery smooth. Get one already! @@gregprevite8548 Shifter bracket.? 🤔 Is it different than their short shifter .? I’m running the Ecs short shifter on my mk6 r, just wondering if it’s something else that I can do the manual gearbox.
So do you have to pull the springs back before doing the alignment? And then once you align the black and white piece (with a tool like yours) the springs can be put back? A little confused on how it works…
You’re compressing the springs and locking the shifter in place so both can be realigned/tightened. You can look up vw alignment to see the full process
Looking into the vortex standard for my GTI. I was told that for the vortex standard I can get away with just a HPFP for pump gas which is what I’m going to do. But for the future would it be beneficial to pair the HPFP with a LPFP and an MPI kit? I won’t be going E85 at all because I don’t have any E85 pumps near me so I’ll be staying on 93 octane. Thoughts?
@@JewelCity1 would the vortex XL work fine with a HPFP upgrade on 93 octane? I’m going to do what you said about the MPI kit and having the stock HPFP but for right now I really can’t afford the turbo and the MPI kit together. And if I’m going to go MPI in the future I would want the XL turbo. So would the vortex XL work fine with a HPFP upgrade on 93 octane? EQT isn’t 100% clear on it in the FAQs.
Reverse gear shouldn't pop up like that. There are definitely some sloppy bushings that need to go or alignment wasn't fully right. I had the same problems on mine until I gave in and bought the APR kit.
Alignment is good and shifts are smooth. It could be factory bushings, I’ve done the alignment a few times in the past and reverse was always like this.
Ayyyy that’s me in the white F80!👌 good run!

Crazy I’ve been managing this long without one, it looks like a fun mod to add
@@JewelCity1 I have it on my mk6r. My favorite mod. Shortens the throw and gives it a solid notchy feel. For the $ you can’t beat it.

Your videos are always so mint! That bmw was ducking you hard lmaooo
Can you make a detailed vid on what exactly you did?
You should make a video how much for the mods and what they are and pic of the mods

The DG sigma6 is worth the money!
Does it really make that much of a difference?
Huge difference over stock. Shifts are precise and slop is almost gone.
Is that a slit on the back screw? Is a torx or what?
My mk5 gti beats scatpacks n 5.0s all the time n it’s just basically straight piped

Did you ever upgrade or install a limited slip diff? I also have a s trim and was wondering if thats worth doing? Thanks man
Mine came with lsd from vw. A lot have said get lsd if you’re tracking the car while some have said it still helps day to day spirited driving.
Whats the difference between a mk6 and a mk7 ?
A whole generation of car. Mk7 are years 2015 to about 2021 in NA

Don’t do hpfp and mpi together. If you add mpi later, go back to stock hpfp. Having both may cause tuning hiccups
