Are hunt on Lake Michigan started out slow but now that the weather is getting hot more people at the beach. Boyfriend has the metal detector last hunt he found a 925 silver ring and with a dark stone in it not sure what kind yet. I found a stainless steel ring with a cross on it just from sight it was right on top of the sand. Hopefully I will be getting a metal detector in a few months. You two are great and love watching your videos keep up the good work.

Now it is 9:33 am, and I wondered about 49 persons who love you, and they were waiting for you to upload a new video to jump in through TH-cam and watch it, and then hit on the thumbs up icon before me! Feel like a jealous guy😂😂😂 !! I was the 50th guy who loves you and follows up always you guys for a new video. I plan to get out of my home for a hunt on the Orange County beachs today, but first of all, I have to watch your video to get some energy and then do it. That was our first time doing a premiere and it was kinda fun. Especially on a hunt that was so rewarding. GL&HH. We need to go back.... I love being at the beach. Hope you find some great stuff!!! Maybe we will run into each other soon!

10x loupes are cheap and make it super easy for me to see the stamps on jewelry. It is made for looking at inclusions in stones and stamps on metal. They are small and fit in the pocket nice.

Hello Bill this is Bill, why don’t you run your detector over the target after you take a scoop and before you shake it so if the target is still in the hole you can just dump it and scoop again. It saves time and energy. 😁
Part of the problem is I am holding a camera and it is not attached to me chest or head. juggling... When we are only running one detector and I Christine is filming, I have done that... I also don't mind shaking it out. once in a great while, I have had multiple targets in a hole but not enough I guess to do it my way.... I may have to give that a try. I can always run the detector over the discarded scoop. Thanks for the advice and I will try it out!

24k gold does not corrode but 14k has other metals that do! I often find black beach gold. Great hunt beautiful location 😉👍 and some sweet finds! Stone in ring is possible Tanzanite .

Yes beach detecting it great , I do only the wet sand for older stuff , dry sand it’s full of trash and new coins
I also prefer the wet but man have we been getting good finds between the trash on the dry... Christine has not tried the wet yet....may have to get her out there! Thanks

Another awesome hunt guys well done. That 14crt ring is gorgeous!! Some great finds there and lots of rubbish too (can’t avoid that, at least you are cleaning up the beaches!) but some nice silver and spendables too 👍👍👍

@@christinethestringbean ive been metal detecting for about 5 months now. ive found a standing liberty quarter, civil war navy button, a gilt flower button from 1828, and silver 1943 washington quarter. Trying to find some cool spots to find more hidden treasure!

Great hunt guys, nice finds. Anything under 10k corrodes in regular dirt, so I could imagine salt water does a lot worse. Keep up the beep, good luck and happy hunting!

Congrats on everything! The ring is gorgeous, and I believe the stone is Tanzanite. You can see the difference between the amethyst and tanzanite beside each other. It isn't the highest quality as it would be a brilliant blue (not like the sky), but I believe it qualifies as a rare stone as it's only mined 3 or more months out of the year...The history is interesting. :)

I bought a metal detector last week the md840 and sometimes it it just turns off for no reason I don't know why and I don't know if that's normal or if I should return it or just hit the on button again I don't know what do you think
They should not turn off. My Vanquish will shut off if I drop it or set it down too hard. I think the batteries move. I would talk to the manufacture...it may be defective.

What type of sand scoop were you using?
I was using the Xtreme and Christine was using the CKG... Both are great and have carbon fiber handles as an option.... The Xtreme is a bit more money.
Since you have a Nox and a Vanquish, how much better do you feel like the Nox really is?
I really like them both....I actually prefer the 540 at parks and the 800 at the beach. The 540 can be jumpy when close to the salt water where the 800 transitions in and out of the water better. If I could only have one, it would be the 800 because it does do it all!!!

We use two sand scoops. Christine uses one from CKG and I use one from Xtreme scoops.

I found an 18inch gold chain marked Italy 14k and it is bogus Or what I call Ghetto gold a lot of detectorists have found fake Italy stamped gold chains but I haven't heard of any silver chains being faked. That was a great day on jewelry way to go.

I'm not rich when it comes to money, but I have a large currency of zero friends. I wish for a metal detector so that I could scavenge the beach for loot, whether coin or jewelry. Or both. Or a huge treasure chest of... well... treasure. Yet I am so unprepared. It appears that you two had a fun time collecting stuff. One day I hope to be in your position, but alas, I strike it poor.
I empathize with you. Being a loner is fairly more common than you think. I work a lot to be able to afford things that I like to do. It’s not always fun but it’s worth it in the long run. Keep your chin up and remember the glass is truly half full even though it doesn’t always seem that way.
What beaches are legal for metal detecting? I know some are not.
I have not run across any in OC or LA Counties that are restricted. If I do find any I will be sure to post them.
