What bothers me about this sort of location is what kind of idiotic person vandalizes a place that was home to a family? Vandalism is reprehensible in my eyes, but to destroy what another person has built over their lifetime is unforgivable.
Same here it bothers me alots seeing such a wonderful home been forgotten. Hi there Ruth how are you doing with your family I do hope you’re safe from the virus?
I have a love/hate relationship with these kind of video...I love watching them but hate wondering why they left everything behind..WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PEOPLE!!!😮
From my understanding what would happen is people get old and die with their house payed off, but very old and “breaking down” so the family of the deceased r anybody else touches it because it would cost money - like to throw away the stuff inside. Totally worth it if you can though, I know my grandmas house will turn into one of these because she is a hoarder 🤷♀️
I know a bit about the family that lived here back in the 70s. I grew up in the same area around Schomberg. One of my brothers was friends with one of the kids, Tom, that lived here. Tommy was in his wedding party as an usher and so was I. Kinda sad to see the house in this state. Most likely rented out over the years as a rooming house, as the locks on the doors are a giveaway. Then subject to vandalism. Owner may have defaulted on outstanding loans and bank evicted tenants to take over. The land would be worth quite a bit due to location 30-40 minutes north of Toronto. Pause on the newspaper clippings in the scrap book for more info about Mr and Mrs Duggan aka "Carmal and the Old Man". Those that knew them will get that reference.
This is great, thanks for sharing this. Yes I thought of a rooming house but seeing the girls bedroom not sure. Yes this place wasn’t vandalized that much more just thrown stuff around. It’s always sad to see houses in the state. Thanks again 😁👍
There's many reasons homes are left abandoned like this. If the owners are deceased there's often legal, financial or location related reasons family cant or don't come to retrieve things. Different country, but we had a family member here in Australia pass away recently and it brought to our attention that a simple mistake in the will would have made it increadibly difficult for us family to reclaim things if their partner had also passed away. Luckily we spotted the error and the will of the partner is being amended. But it would have been easy to have missed it considering how upset and stressed we all were as a family. Especially as a family who doesn't always get along in the same space.
Thank you for taking us along through this house. The photo of the older couple isn't creepy. It's their anniversary and the middle figure is the woman's wedding gown on a dress form from fifty years previous. I have a feeling if somebody came into my house and tossed everything out of closets and cupboards, it might look a little like this poor house. I'm pretty sure when this family left, it was a lot tidier. There is a certain type of sub-class that likes to destroy other people's homes. Maybe it's a rage of not having anybody to show them love while growing up. Odd that they would have three cooking stoves in the kitchen. I want to thank you for not speculating on the situation which made this family feel they had to move (I doubt it's haunted, messy houses just feel creepy. And we all watch these horror movies with murderous dolls, so every doll is suspect. Forty years ago everybody thought dolls were cute.) and thank you for not pointing at things that we can see in the video. (Pointing at piano, "this is a piano." Er, yes it is.) again, too long of a comment, but I want you to know that I enjoyed your video and look forward to the next one.
Steven Myers Hey Steven I really appreciate your comment. Yes I realized after about the photo album 😂 I never seen that before it was my first time. I’m glad you enjoyed my video and free to check out my others. Take care Steve👍
Steven Myers I somehow think this may have been a boarding house, which would explain the locks on the outside of the upstairs bedroom doors and the three stoves. I live in Ontario and from the introduction, the exterior of this house looked familiar.
I will never understand why people do this to stuff that doesn't belong to them. I could NEVER not even as a teen or child destroy like this. How nice it would be to see things as they were left but even that was stolen. 💔
Maybe it was a foster home (or a group home as some one else mentioned?) The door locks are disturbing! The couple in the photos died in early 2000’s. They had a lot of children too.
Wonder what was going on. Someone said may be a rooming house (for individual privacy)-that could be. Awful to think may be something else involving children.
@@danadelaplante6797 I ponder on if the family had an abusive dad or something, some of the pictures of a man in the family had him all smiling then next one he looked as if he was ready to kill the one who took the pictures; possibly might be why all the kids had locks on their doors so he could "punish" them when he was pissed and why the woman's face was white-d out of the wedding photos as well.
Loved the old cook stove and washer! Really gets me thinking especially with the locks on all the bedrooms really creepy goodness only knows what was going on there 😳 ! Until next time safe travels
My mom got really paranoid in her dementia days and had locks placed on all the bedrooms and closets. Her paranoia about being robbed is what caused her death because she wouldn’t let anyone help her stay safe.
I don't scare easily, but seeing that creepy thing in the basement sure got my attention. It reminded me immediately of a movie starring Karen Black called Trilogy of Terror (1975). In the 3rd story, a Zuni warrior doll comes to life and terrorizes her. Very creepy! Brent, many thanks for this! Great installment, as usual!
I think the lock on the doors were maybe to contain the kids? Then the empty face in the album and the statue in basement? Sounds like a possible murder case and child abuse. 15:32 sorry I do not like the looks of that face.
I stuck and watched trilogy of terror as a little girl. Scared the crap out of me! Karen Black plays awesome scary lady. Have you ever seen Burnt Offerings? Another with Karen Black, The Ending is Still in my head, I'll leave it at that...
I believe Brent has done an explore in another old farmhouse since he did this one, that was used in that movie (or one of the Trilogy Of Terror films). I wish I could remember which one it was. In that house, there was another movie filmed there, too.
The wedding picture was definitely creepy. Kind of sad and scary with the locks on the inside of the room. Don't know what to think about the doll figure. Great video.
@@AbandonedUrbexCanada Thanks for the information. So interesting what you do. May be the locks on the INSIDE were for teenage privacy if they had a number of kids (my sister I am sure wishes she had one when I was a brat.) But on the OUTSIDE in this house? weird eh.🍁

That’s creepy 😳 that Doll is probably worth some money 💰 I had her ( Cricket ) back in the 80’s and she has cassette tapes that you can put in her back to make her talk . Good find ! I would love to know where this place is ‼️
It's difficult to find the house frightening when there is a Timmy's cup and hockey puck and stick in the house. The house is so painfully Cdn. I can't say I expected that statue in the basement though. The time span is a little weird too, a Bowflex was first introduced in 1986 while the Hannah Montana stuff is from 2006.
Wow! Incredible! So much left in that house! It always amazes me how there is so much stuff! Did they live in such mess and filth, and also ransacked by others as well??!!😞

I loathe vandals! Wow a ringer wash machine ! I wonder what happened here ? It’s like they just left it all . Ok when you showed us the 4 rooms upstairs with locks on the outside , I feel like something sinister was going on !
The latches on the door is like they locked kids in their rooms also appears the children in the house had a step mom from the Happy Mothers Day note on the wall.
This house has seen many lives. A home for that couple, boarders, renters all over many years. And some looters too. From friends who have rental properties, I’ve heard stories of houses trashed and abused by those evicted. People get angry and take it out on the house. Who knows the real stories? The sale of goods alone would earn enough for a total refurb would love to see projects like that possible for communities of needy folk ex homeless and such
Nice explore, I had a negative feeling about the place though. I don't think they were pigs, I think people trashed the place after it was abandoned. That statue in the basement looked like a Tiki bar decoration I saw on storage wars one time. Some are worth money and others are not. Thanks for taking us with you. Take care.
Sad to see.the locks on the door was strange. The bathroom still had an unfinisbed toilet paper roll on it! It was like they all just up and left everything.
Hello, Hello. Yikes, this poor old house looks so sad and decrepit. The creepy vibe this house gives off is troubling. Something happened to this family. That photo of the older couple is trippy, it looks like a ghost standing in the middle. I see no flesh. Creepy. It would be interesting to find out the back story of this property. Great explore and thank you for the tour. Much love and be safe.
I think the picture of the old couple has a mannequin wearing the womans wedding dress. She most likely couldn’t fit in it anymore, but wanted to show it off.

I used to be a Bell Field Service Technician and been to many places in GTA. For those whom live in Ontario Canada in Toronto/Markham, in Major Mackenzie numbers from 5000-6000 There's an entire block of abandoned houses and land.
WOW, as soon as you enter you're greeted with a staircase, do not like that design. You should never walk around these old homes without a good well fitted face mask and gloves. You get mold and/or fungus in your lungs you'll regret it if you lose a lung like my husband did. Just saying.
Sad to see that no one could go in and clean this mess, to make the home liveable again. Haunted or not if the right person comes along it can be a beautiful home again. Love the fireplace mantels and the old cookstove.
I saw a tv show called "a haunting" Someone left a house just like this food on the plates and all. They left because it was haunted. And I guess one night they had enough, left and never returned.

That's where they stash the bodies.
Yup! 🤪
New subscriber here. Appreciate your videos. This makes me sad to see a home left with everything and to see it trashed and disrespected.
Thanks Elaine glad you found me 😁
This place is liking going into the abandoned abyss.
Great video as always 👍
Thanks Chris !😁
The sale of goods alone would earn enough for a total refurb would love to see projects like that possible for communities of needy folk ex homeless and such
I bought one of these homes and turn it into a masterpiece nice property lots of land for growing
Nice explore, I had a negative feeling about the place though. I don't think they were pigs, I think people trashed the place after it was abandoned. That statue in the basement looked like a Tiki bar decoration I saw on storage wars one time. Some are worth money and others are not. Thanks for taking us with you. Take care.
Yes I think your right. People come in and rummage through everything. 😁
Ronna Kelly Hey Ronna! Yes your right on everything. Thanks for the kind words. See you on the next explore 🤪
I think the picture of the old couple has a mannequin wearing the womans wedding dress. She most likely couldn’t fit in it anymore, but wanted to show it off.
DEBRA BOLLAS yes think your right, think it might be their anniversary too
Ronna, agreed!
I'm a recent subscriber and love your adventures. I will never understand why people have to trash someone's things thanks for letting an old lady join in on you advetures
Hey Gaye! I’m glad to have an old lady join me😂 I’m glad you enjoy my videos❤️👍
they say you die twice. One time when you stop breathing and a second time, a bit later on, when the last person that remember you dies too
Wart
Haha
Was sagstn zu mein haus hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Nice video....like the house.... Very old and nostalgic very nice
Thanks William!
Omg you went in alone 😮
I would DIE
So creepy 😳specially the basement
I wonder what went on in there and where did everyone go in such a hurry leaving all their belongings 🤔 l wish we could know
This is so cool. I just subscribed to your channel. I'm in Cambridge, Ontario and we've got some REALLY old structures here!!
Thanks ken!
When you mentioned that you were told about a statue in the basement,, I thought it would be the one in the pictures with no face..
That statue in the basement and the cross would be a great mystery box 📦
Looks like theres a classic Timmy's cup on the table there. Makes me wonder why and what happened here. With all the kids things.......😕 I hope they just left dodge.
So many antiques in this place
Pretty sad that someone would just leave, and leave all their things behind. I wonder what really happened here?
I used to be a Bell Field Service Technician and been to many places in GTA. For those whom live in Ontario Canada in Toronto/Markham, in Major Mackenzie numbers from 5000-6000 There's an entire block of abandoned houses and land.
WOW, as soon as you enter you're greeted with a staircase, do not like that design. You should never walk around these old homes without a good well fitted face mask and gloves. You get mold and/or fungus in your lungs you'll regret it if you lose a lung like my husband did. Just saying.
Great explore. Sad what people do😢
Looks like mom and dad died, then an older child lived there with kids for a while.
Wow.,,you a re one brave guy. I would never go inside that house alone...u went into the basement with the voodoo doll staring!
We used to have the red chair in the living room too O_O
I still have mine.
Sad to see that no one could go in and clean this mess, to make the home liveable again. Haunted or not if the right person comes along it can be a beautiful home again. Love the fireplace mantels and the old cookstove.
Yes it could be cleaned up 👍
I saw a tv show called "a haunting"
Someone left a house just like this food on the plates and all. They left because it was haunted. And I guess one night they had enough, left and never returned.
I could see this here. I will never return
I agree it bothers me to that people would destroy a nice house 🏠 like that
