This is the first time me ever knowing you existed and you’re genuine, I know that sounds weird but it’s a bit complicated to explain. Also I have a thing of where I get bored of watching Minecraft people play Minecraft but it’s a little different when it’s modded Minecraft so I still get bored of it but it takes longer. I just hope that my brain thinks you’re entertaining enough long enough to where you can finish this series. So far it’s a good series.

Greg tech is basically old school Industrial craft but with a new name, exact same mechanics, more machines, they use the same textures for the rubber saplings

you should look into mystical agriculture there is sooo much to the mod and it can be a bit complicated but it is AMAZING. you can literally grow netherite, diamonds, allthemodium, materials and so much more! i’m still in the middle of the video but i love it already

I have never watched you before or known about you. However, looking up series for ATM 9 I found your channel and your thumbnail seemed good so looked into it. I LOVE your presentation. It feels natural and not over done like some channels. Reminds me of watching Direwolf20 when I was first getting into modding myself so long ago. I love how you get excited seeing new things and it gives me enthusiasm to play the pack. I only touched it before, but I usually play adventure or expert packs. I tried TNP Limitless, but the loot packs can give ANY item and it can sometimes reward you with OP stuff before you even get started and I lose enthusiasm due to not needing to build up to power at times. I will be watching this series, keep it up. I might look in to if you stream to. You are just a joy to watch.

I'm usually not a fan of the 20-kitchen-sinks type modpacks, but this looks like there was some thought put into it. I do have bad memories Gregtech changing vanilla recipes in the past, made me so mad. I'll have to check this pack out. Thanks for video, will watch more. :)
gregtech has a messy history. it started as a simple addon for ic2 made by greg himself but he has a bad habbit of not finishing his mod versions as he is a perfectionist. gt5 was the first official gregtech to do a complete overhaul of mc and only uses ic2 as a dependency mainly and is its own mod. gt5 was left unfinished and someone took over calling it gt5 unofficial and there are 2 branches the .08 branch which is a somewhat more complete gt5 with a few things added from previous version like the fusion reactor. and the .09 branch which today is basically just a bunch of features that everyone involved thought was a good idea so its no longer in the vision of the original creator. gt6 is the last and actually complete gregtech also for 1.7.10 made by greg himself. the main thing that was broken was ore processing the reason gregtech adds so many ores is because the idea is that you dont just get pure iron etc you get pyrite which is FeS2 and the idea is you process it in more advanced ways later on to separate out the byproducts so smelting it in a furnace should give 3 nuggets not a full ingot and greg never finished it and the one who took over left it broken and also added a bunch of crap and now basically all ports of gregtech are inspired by this mess rather than pulling from greg himself. so basically gregtech isnt gregtech anymore except in name and everyone has a different idea on what it should be and so its a different mod and should be thought of as such.

Apotheosis is one of my all-time favorite mods, and I really love the new 1.20 updates to it. I only just recently found out about a fabric port called Zenith when I tried (and failed) to play All of Fabric 7. Just found this series and I LOVE how you show all of the excitement of playing a fresh modpack (including being in jei and the quest book for SO LONG looking at all the stuff you can do and make lol).
Future tense, I'd recommend keeping the spawner shards because if you use a smithing table with them and arcane crystal blocks, you can make a mob catcher called the quantum catcher.
Just started playing this pack, but the 'no frills' cause my PC is doodoo, im only like 5% into 'The ATM star' quest line, and its insane, good luck on this! Enjoying the vids.

atm9!!! i loved this modpack but was lacking a good letsplay on it to watch, yours is a godsend! :D and you found a stargate day one woah! oh and also. i know i'm late but i think the torch problem may have been because you got some torches as a quest reward. and these ones don't stack with any else (manually crafted, broken etc) because of junk nbt data if i'm correct, no other torches should be affected
Nope it sadly happens with all Vanilla torches crafted or not but it doesn't happen with the stone ones so I'll keep using those :D. Ty so much for coming to check out the video I appreciate it!

Hi Creo I have been enjoying your modded let's play since it opened new possibilities. The best one was when you showed Inmis slots could be configured . That has now become my go to backpack mod on Fabric. So I do enjoy learning about MC mods from your playthrough so thanks for sharing. Random comments while watching 😂 - for 1.20 pink petals. you could bonemeal them if needed more - stargate sounds like it is based of the same tv series so perhaps space related as the portal is how planet travel is done in that series. and oooh have you heard about the aether mods also getting updated to 1.20++ version?
That's so awesome...I'm glad my videos have helped you in a way and it's stuck with you because it's always fun to be able to tinker around with your config files to help the mod fit your playstyle. :D Ooo ty for the tips...I feel so new again learning about 1.20 and I'm living for it. The stargate thing is very possible that's a good point and no I haven't learnt much about the Aether mod at all. I don't think I've ever played with it...the one that's like it on Fabric that I've shown in my videos (Paradise Lost) is the only thing like it that I've explored.

Randomly came across this in my recommended stuff and I'm enjoying it so far. Since this video is a month old I'm sure you have hurdled these obstacles already but for anyone else that may need some extra info: 1) A sword will break cobwebs and they drop string. Or you can get string from wool with the Squeezer from Integrated Dynamics. 2) Also from Integrated Dynamics is the Drying Basin. You can put rotten flesh in there and get leather out. Or there is another mod that adds a drying rack which does the same thing just much slower. EDIT: Also wanna put out there that I REALLY enjoy the format of the video. So many other Minecraft Let's Players cut out all of the middle stuff between building things and, for me anyway, it's a bit disheartening thinking that when I play it doesnt go near as quickly or as smoothly as in their videos. Like I KNOW there is multiple hours of work that's going in behind the scenes but seeing it on display in videos like yours makes me feel better about how I play.

middle mouse botton, auto sorts the chests ^_^ . also that erro msg you get sometimes when worting happens when you middle click on a item directly- make sure to either middle click a emty square in chest/backpack, or near edge / grey outlines ^^

when you try to organize with a gem from apotheosis, that's the one that gives that weird message. so move them gems to something else and the sorting works just fine. GL :D

I have a lot of time at work when I don't know what to watch because the work pc has a restriction mode and half of youtube is disabled so it's refreshing to see that the whole playlist from your ATM9 is not blocked. Except for the ep2 which I could watch on my phone if it's a one off thing. Also 33mins in and I enjoy your content ^^ (first time here!)
@@Creothina Ah, thank you ^^ also I'm wondering, do you take modpack requests or do you prefer to play what you find on your own? Cause there is one modpack that is trying to be like a Terraria in Minecraft with progression and unlocking new ores as you progress. Seems like a cool idea but I'm not sure if you'd like that kind of thing or me just coming in and promoting things in your comments ^^
U can grab mob on different ways, but for the start use the yoinker, cost little xp to pick up the mobs with shift click. ps. look more at the quest, they will help

In case nobody pointed it out (and I don't want to forget by the time I get to later videos): That FPS counter is from Rubidium Extras, there's a tab for it in your Video options menu (fourth tab I think? could be wrong) that has an option to toggle the FPS counter. Edit: Okay you showed the options screen and yes it's the fourth tab.
Im about to start this pack with some friends on a server and when i heard there was easy villagers i got really excited, no elaborate crate farm, no hunting down name tag to keep a zombie l, clean an easy iron farm
Hey there, for some reason things doesn't stack when they use a slot in offhand and also in the inventory, to fix that you just have to put them in the inventory both slots and then u can merge, and put them back to offhand now stacked (it happened few times too, is kind of annoying because of the space that takes, but it usually works by just putting them back together before putting them again in offhand), and aaaalso, if u want to pick up mobs, u can do it with the ender lead from apotheosis, i think it does work to capture every mob
Ya know, out of all of the times I've used Apotheosis I've always forgotten there's an ender lead until much later. Thank you for that reminder....lol. As for the torch bug I know it's happening across multiple 1.20 packs right now so it's something weird with a mod interaction and I'm curious about which one is doing it.
@@Creothina yeah, is pretty weird but i remember it hapoening sometimes also in vanilla, but not pretty sure about that xD but, glad to be helpful, i quite enjoyed a lot the gameplay, so chill and just fun to watch
The torch bug is weird, mostly happens between the torches you make/break off a wall and the ones you find in a chest. For some reason it sees them as different things. For the mob grabbing, look n see you can craft "Cages" those should be able to cage a mob to bring with you ^-^
Yessss and I completely forgot about the ender lead from Apotheosis too. Someone pointed that out in another comment so that's another one I can use along with the cages. The torches are being looked into so once that's fixed I'll be sure to go over it in a video so you guys know it's taken care of.
Might be stupid to say, but I'm actually super proud of your dedication to making TH-cam videos. It can be quite hard and stressful. I tried to get into it but I don't have hardware to support my dreams. ;^;
That's not stupid at all and incredibly sweet of you to say so thank you. Yeah PCs aren't cheap but you'll get there one day and you can start following those dreams. :D
Also, if you need any help with mods, I am very familiar with refined storage, Ender IO, and Mekanism. Although you seems quite intelligent, especially if you know how to manually upload mods and texture packs. Those are no easy feats.
To add on, the inception thing on backpacks is equally as bad because each 'item' when being read is being treated as an object. Well, an object with objects. If that object contains objects with child objects with child objects and you go down that road too far, there's no more memory or CPU cycles. Even if you give the game a tb of memory to use, java will crash. Its not exactly a java issue. Yaml, json and XML aren't designed to handle that level of nesting. You can still to this day crash a browser with way too many nested HTML tags in it.
I'm so glad I found this series! I've been playing atm9 with very limited atm experience previously...I'm on a server thankfully so I have people helping. I know vault hunters has animal cages...if that's what you were thinking of regarding mobs?
It's certainly a fun pack to explore but there's a learning curve so I'm glad you have people around helping ya. I was thinking of something along the lines of the mob catcher mod that I use on fabric but there are a few different options in this one...the mob yoinker seems to be the one that works the best though so I've gone for that. :D (It was also the one most suggested by everyone lol)
Not sure if it's in this mod pack but in Better Minecraft (which I'm currently playing) you can craft a Cage to pickup small animals. The items needed to craft a Cage are easy to obtain early on. Having come over from the Bedrock side not too long ago I'm currently playing Better Minecraft 1.19 . I'm already thinking about which mod pack to play next. Right now it's a choice between ATM's (which might be a little over the top for me) or DarkRPG. I've been watching the "Captain" play DarkRPG and it's really caught my interest. I do enjoy your long plays and will continue to watch to the end.
The cage is from Supplementaries but it's very picky as to what you can grab with it (I stored goblin traders in it when I did my Better Minecraft series xD) so I may try some of the other stuff people have suggested. Go with a pack that suits your playstyle and something that won't overwhelm you because you don't want to get annoyed/overwhelmed and then stop playing all together. I hope you find something you'll enjoy and honestly Better Minecraft was a great place to start for sure!

Welcome and thank you! I'm using something called "FTB Ultimine" so if you hit your grave (tilde ~) key under ESC and hold it it'll vein mine any object you're breaking. Which settings are you wanting me to talk about? I try and explain things as I go but if you're looking for something specific I can always add it to the start of a video and add a skip point for people that don't want to watch that part. Let me know because I'm always happy to help where I can. :D
Dont know if you started doing it in later vidoes, but if you find the criptopia fruit trees and grab two of the fruit you can make a sapling for it. Its super helpful for all the fruit baaed recipes to have a steady source of multiple fruits.

Apotheosis is one of my all-time favorite mods, and I really love the new 1.20 updates to it. I only just recently found out about a fabric port called Zenith when I tried (and failed) to play All of Fabric 7. Just found this series and I LOVE how you show all of the excitement of playing a fresh modpack (including being in jei and the quest book for SO LONG looking at all the stuff you can do and make lol).

Future tense, I'd recommend keeping the spawner shards because if you use a smithing table with them and arcane crystal blocks, you can make a mob catcher called the quantum catcher.

i think the torch problem may have been because you got some torches as a quest reward. and these ones don't stack with any else (manually crafted, broken etc) because of junk nbt data
if i'm correct, no other torches should be affected

mystical agriculture: you can basically grow crops of anything in vanilla and competible mods, they also have levels and things for increasing drops

Ooo ty for the tips...I feel so new again learning about 1.20 and I'm living for it. The stargate thing is very possible that's a good point and no I haven't learnt much about the Aether mod at all. I don't think I've ever played with it...the one that's like it on Fabric that I've shown in my videos (Paradise Lost) is the only thing like it that I've explored.

Randomly came across this in my recommended stuff and I'm enjoying it so far.
Since this video is a month old I'm sure you have hurdled these obstacles already but for anyone else that may need some extra info:
1) A sword will break cobwebs and they drop string. Or you can get string from wool with the Squeezer from Integrated Dynamics.
2) Also from Integrated Dynamics is the Drying Basin. You can put rotten flesh in there and get leather out. Or there is another mod that adds a drying rack which does the same thing just much slower.
EDIT: Also wanna put out there that I REALLY enjoy the format of the video. So many other Minecraft Let's Players cut out all of the middle stuff between building things and, for me anyway, it's a bit disheartening thinking that when I play it doesnt go near as quickly or as smoothly as in their videos. Like I KNOW there is multiple hours of work that's going in behind the scenes but seeing it on display in videos like yours makes me feel better about how I play.

middle mouse botton, auto sorts the chests ^_^ . also that erro msg you get sometimes when worting happens when you middle click on a item directly- make sure to either middle click a emty square in chest/backpack, or near edge / grey outlines ^^

I didn't start my side "non recording" world until after I was a bit into my series so if that's what you were meaning then yep...it's a first time playthrough. lol
when you try to organize with a gem from apotheosis, that's the one that gives that weird message. so move them gems to something else and the sorting works just fine. GL :D

U can grab mob on different ways, but for the start use the yoinker, cost little xp to pick up the mobs with shift click.
ps. look more at the quest, they will help
for the torch issue, you can just drop them all on the ground and pick them back up ugain and they will stack.

Your video came up on my home page which I never go to normally. I am enjoying the different playing styles of ATM9 gamers. I have 1 suggestion, craft an ore hammer with copper (there is loads of that) to double your ores early game.

There is the mining dimension, nether, end, other, blue skies, undergrowth, twilight, stargate worlds, you can fly to other planets also.

the old greg tech that i remember takes a normal crafting recipe and makes it a lot harder.

Thank you so much and there's a lot in it but it's a kitchen sink pack so you can play at your own pace. Follow the quests to help give you a bit of guidance but just remember to not push yourself and have a fun time. :D
In case nobody pointed it out (and I don't want to forget by the time I get to later videos):
That FPS counter is from Rubidium Extras, there's a tab for it in your Video options menu (fourth tab I think? could be wrong) that has an option to toggle the FPS counter.
Edit: Okay you showed the options screen and yes it's the fourth tab.

Im about to start this pack with some friends on a server and when i heard there was easy villagers i got really excited, no elaborate crate farm, no hunting down name tag to keep a zombie l, clean an easy iron farm
wait untill u fin out there are other 5+ different ways to farm iron now kinda easy too.
food is quicker in the smoker, ore's etc in the blast furnace,

Hey there, for some reason things doesn't stack when they use a slot in offhand and also in the inventory, to fix that you just have to put them in the inventory both slots and then u can merge, and put them back to offhand now stacked (it happened few times too, is kind of annoying because of the space that takes, but it usually works by just putting them back together before putting them again in offhand), and aaaalso, if u want to pick up mobs, u can do it with the ender lead from apotheosis, i think it does work to capture every mob
Ya know, out of all of the times I've used Apotheosis I've always forgotten there's an ender lead until much later. Thank you for that reminder....lol.
As for the torch bug I know it's happening across multiple 1.20 packs right now so it's something weird with a mod interaction and I'm curious about which one is doing it.

The torch bug is weird, mostly happens between the torches you make/break off a wall and the ones you find in a chest. For some reason it sees them as different things. For the mob grabbing, look n see you can craft "Cages" those should be able to cage a mob to bring with you ^-^
Yessss and I completely forgot about the ender lead from Apotheosis too. Someone pointed that out in another comment so that's another one I can use along with the cages. The torches are being looked into so once that's fixed I'll be sure to go over it in a video so you guys know it's taken care of.

That's not stupid at all and incredibly sweet of you to say so thank you. Yeah PCs aren't cheap but you'll get there one day and you can start following those dreams. :D
Also, if you need any help with mods, I am very familiar with refined storage, Ender IO, and Mekanism. Although you seems quite intelligent, especially if you know how to manually upload mods and texture packs. Those are no easy feats.

the sorting freaks out when you have apotheosis gems in your inventory, maybe because of the random stats in the same "gem" item.
The amount of NBT data in the gems causes a lot of things to freak out. If you have too many in a refined storage or ae system it can crash your game.

To add on, the inception thing on backpacks is equally as bad because each 'item' when being read is being treated as an object. Well, an object with objects. If that object contains objects with child objects with child objects and you go down that road too far, there's no more memory or CPU cycles. Even if you give the game a tb of memory to use, java will crash. Its not exactly a java issue. Yaml, json and XML aren't designed to handle that level of nesting. You can still to this day crash a browser with way too many nested HTML tags in it.
I'm so glad I found this series! I've been playing atm9 with very limited atm experience previously...I'm on a server thankfully so I have people helping. I know vault hunters has animal cages...if that's what you were thinking of regarding mobs?
It's certainly a fun pack to explore but there's a learning curve so I'm glad you have people around helping ya. I was thinking of something along the lines of the mob catcher mod that I use on fabric but there are a few different options in this one...the mob yoinker seems to be the one that works the best though so I've gone for that. :D (It was also the one most suggested by everyone lol)
if it's got apotheosis, ender leads will capture mobs & u can release them later
Not sure if it's in this mod pack but in Better Minecraft (which I'm currently playing) you can craft a Cage to pickup small animals. The items needed to craft a Cage are easy to obtain early on.
Having come over from the Bedrock side not too long ago I'm currently playing Better Minecraft 1.19 . I'm already thinking about which mod pack to play next. Right now it's a choice between ATM's (which might be a little over the top for me) or DarkRPG. I've been watching the "Captain" play DarkRPG and it's really caught my interest. I do enjoy your long plays and will continue to watch to the end.
The cage is from Supplementaries but it's very picky as to what you can grab with it (I stored goblin traders in it when I did my Better Minecraft series xD) so I may try some of the other stuff people have suggested.
Go with a pack that suits your playstyle and something that won't overwhelm you because you don't want to get annoyed/overwhelmed and then stop playing all together. I hope you find something you'll enjoy and honestly Better Minecraft was a great place to start for sure!

Welcome and thank you! I'm using something called "FTB Ultimine" so if you hit your grave (tilde ~) key under ESC and hold it it'll vein mine any object you're breaking. Which settings are you wanting me to talk about? I try and explain things as I go but if you're looking for something specific I can always add it to the start of a video and add a skip point for people that don't want to watch that part. Let me know because I'm always happy to help where I can. :D
Dont know if you started doing it in later vidoes, but if you find the criptopia fruit trees and grab two of the fruit you can make a sapling for it. Its super helpful for all the fruit baaed recipes to have a steady source of multiple fruits.

The mob yoinker is very easy to make and you just right click any mob just like a mob imprisonment tool

it takes a little longer to cook on the camp fire but it doesn't use fuel and it cooks 4 at once.
Best way to do towers is to take the few ladders around the sides then use them to go up one side
