This is a revised version of the video. 2 passages in one, 51nm from Grimsby to Flamborough Head trying out the cruising chute, and then about 13nm close reaching to Scarborough the next day.
Lovely video, thanks for sharing. I noted your stern mounted gantry for the charging system and aerial. Do you have any details of who made/supplied it please ? The whole boat seems beautifully set up.
Thanks, I put it together it myself. I bought the ss tubing online and got a local machine shop to do the bending and got some T clamps (expensive ) and also made a few basic ones of my own from some scrap aluminium sheet.
Thanks. It seems these autopilots are not necessarily that robust and I am looking at getting a wind vane, possibly a Hebridean kit. I will have to move my outboard to one side to make space
A lovely sail! Very enjoyable, thanks.
You're getting the best out of your boat there, a good passage time and enjoyable sailing I'm sure.
what a great passage! Congratulations. Nice film too - it is no small achievement filming and sailing while single-handing.

How did you come by the lovely little boat ?
check out the book "selfsteering on sailing craft" you will still love y autopilot but be a lot more relaxed in case it fails.
