    This is one of the best intro videos to braking I've seen - for all racing, not just F1. This covers both the theory/physics and practical application so well. Thanks for the detailed, but concise, "brakedown" (pun intended)

    Thank you for covering this subject. There are plenty of videos on turning assists off and set ups but not a lot on the basics to have a good platform to build from. Getting better on the brake application and techniques will help lower lap times for sure. Thanks again and this is, I believe, a large area that's not talked about enough. There are so many tricky corners on the calander you have got content for daaaaays and just on braking alone.

    Hey Brendan, the weight transfer video would be really cool. I've noticed with F1 cars, the weight transfer can be quite aggressive because the downforce allows for more aggressive inputs and the car responds. Whereas with like a slower car like a M2 cup car or Miata, or a formula ford, the weight transfer really upsets the car much more. So you have to be a lot more smoother. So maybe you can go into that a bit :)

    Thank you for this. Usually you only find guides on mastering tracks, brake here turn here... But you can't do what you're shown if you don't understand the basics. Very useful!

    Good video.
    I’d like to see an eSports driver, such as yourself, doing a tutorial video on how to setup the break pedal and having a foot camera which visually shows you trail breaking. How you set up the pedal, such as what rubbers you use in the load cell and what maximum kg you are using - like modulating around 80% or so and how you like the pedal to feel (hard with not much travel or softer with more travel)…

    This is a really good video - and I say that having watched other similar vids before. I’d definitely be interested in weight transfer vid as well if it helps with lap time/tyre wear etc

    Thank you for this man, I play on controller and the only assist i use is traction control and im not the best but i could improve a lot more especially when it come to me braking and locking up and this video did help me better understand what I have to do, thanks for this and I will come back with feedback tomorrow

    These are all great pointers if you have a steering wheel and pedals. Hand held controllers lack the precision and feedback to indicate what the vehicle is doing. And also the game also has an exerted yawing effect and lag. No amount of adjusting or hacking will change that. I’ve done it all.

      @BrendonLeigh most braking videos don't go into the different type of corners, and I'm yet to see one mention using 80 percent etc. Really opened my eyes to corners I've struggled on.

    Any tips for trail braking on controller? We’re in the trenches out here

    • @alancleveland7623
      @alancleveland7623 ปีที่แล้ว

      I spent almost 2hrs just playing around with my inputs as I also use a controller. I found this really helped my trail braking alot. His techniques still apply for us on braking/throttle control I would say. Try playing with your braking dead zone input this will help alot with gradual braking and bleeding I found. Also just give yourself the time to find those sweet spots on track as well. It will come together.
