Hey Grace, dino nerd here to provide some info! 13:52 is a Therizinosaurus, a dino known for its massive claws, but it's actually a herbivore! So it's really cool to see a plant-eater be dangerous, and Jurassic fans have wanted to see the Therizino in a movie for a long time. The dinos at 15:27 and 16:07 are actually NOT Velociraptors. The ones in Malta are Atrociraptors and the feathered one is a Pyroraptor, so it's really cool to see some new raptor representation! I LOVE the feathers on the Pyro. 18:24 is a Quetzalcoatlus, the largest flying creature ever. It popped up in the prologue but I am thrilled to see it get a dedicated scene in the film itself. 19:07 is actually Nasutoceratops, not Triceratops. Again, some cool dino diversity like with the raptors - there wasn't just one kind of raptor, or just one kind of "ceratops"! As you know, the dino at 20:08 is a Dilophosaurus, which hasn't properly appeared in a film since the original! It's crazy to me and a lot of other Jurassic fans it took it this long to be included again and I am so so happy to see it here. Lastly, at 20:31 is the Giganotosaurus, the dino that killed the T-Rex in the prologue. It's another dino fans have wanted to see in a movie for a long time and it seems to be this movie's closest thing to a dino "big bad". You say you're worried about the crowded cast, and personally I'm worried about the crowded dino roster! It's so cool to see a lot of these finally return or show up for the first time and I really hope they're able to do them all justice.
Thanks for the dino descriptions! I knew some of these, but not all. I agree with you. I think that 7 main cast isn’t a problem, but with so many dinos (especially new dinos) I’m not sure how much screen time they’ll have or if the theropods will have a chance to be properly distinguished.

I really enjoyed your insight at the beginning of the video about the kind of complaints this series gets. No one is saying these movies are artistic masterpieces, but they as hell are a good time while you're watching them! This movie looks great so far
These movies are not masterpieces because it's all just garbage storytelling and world building. You'll enjoy this trilogy if you turn your brain off while watching it.
That scene in Fallen Kingdom where they leave the dino on the dock when the island is burning up gets me every time. It's as bad as when they had to shoot Old Yeller.
Back in the day in the UK, I collected the first 2000 AD comic books (Judge Dredd came from these comics) and they had another series of comics about a future where humans ran out of meat sources, so much so, they had a 'great' idea that maybe they could travel back in time and hunt dinosaurs for their meat protein. Dinosaurs would eventually die out anyway, what's the harm? No paradox! So the story would bounce back and forth from present to pass, sometimes a few dinosaurs would make it to the future, humans trapped in the past etc..... So basically it showed that it wasn't a meteor that lead to Dinosaur extinction, it was man going back in time to hunt them for a food source in the future! Really surprised nobody has picked this story idea up. Judge Dredd is a pretty big IP and people who knew Dredd from back then had to have known about this story line.
I personally wouldn’t hunt but regarding deer. The deer population in some places is out of control and they hurt some of the foliage by over grazing. In upstate New York deer meat is provided to food banks. Sometimes that’s the only meat available for people who need food banks to feed their families. Food for thought!
Sure, but having fun hunting is baffling to me at least. Pratt’s hobby is killing life… it just weird to me. Im sure we have the means to controll the deer population without soms rich bored men having to go out for their pleasure to kill 🤨📸
@@oralysis Beyond the ethics, Hunting is a lot of work, takes tons of preparation, and really, the actual shooting isn't that great. I'd prefer sitting at camp plinking beer cans. I am not one to worry about the ethics of a thing people have done for 125 thousand years.

The original Jurassic Park is my all time favorite movie. I am obsessed with the original trilogy. I liked Jurassic World but some parts are dumb/pointless. Fallen Kingdom is a mess but it has some good moments. I don’t have high expectations for this last one so I won’t be disappointed.

JP3 & Joe Johnston is severely underrated. It is the most compact, silly-fun & to-the-point JP entry (that doesn't waste too much time) before they turned JP into JW. And JP3's writing is definitely better than Fallen Kingdom's (yes, the "Alan"-Raptor dream included).
I have no issue with hunting or hunters as long as they are not killing just to kill. I was always told if you hunt an elk, deer etc the best way to honor that animals life is to eat it. That is why I dont hunt anymore because i never wanted to eat it.

I’m so excited for this film 😍 and the first film deals with the dino-breeding situation.. I forget the exact animal but it’s something to do with the “frog” gene they splice with the original DNA - frogs can reproduce asexually right? I think that’s why there’s suddenly so many across the globe - like Grace said… (self)breeding like rabbits! Haha
People complained that they wanted Jurassic to be different, so J.A. Bayona made the most different Jurassic ever, and the same people complained BECAUSE it was different. 🤦♂️

The dinosaur chasing Miss Howard was a Herbivore. It was probably being territorial. The dinosaur attacking the plane is Quetzacoatl. It probably again was being Territorial as well.
First, foremost and most importantly - baby blue is super cute!!! This trailer looks so awesome! I knew I wanted to see this movie, but it was one of many 2022 movies I wanted to see. But this trailer is epic and it catapulted this movie to my top 5 anticipated movies. Wowowow! 🤯😍🥰🤩📽
Truth be told, animals in the wild tend to die horrible deaths compared to domesticated animals, no matter their species, no matter where they're from - disease, cast out by the group, starved, eaten, or fighting for a mate. None of these are fun. Therefore, by either bow or gun, a hunter's kill comes quick, and animals are spared some suffering. Added to the environmental impact, thinning of herds, etc, not to mention the food value offered hunters and their families, you can see, it's not really such a contradiction, that a man might hunt and still appreciate the animal he's hunting, and its life too. ... things rarely seen amidst the clouds, from a Manhattan skyrise 🤗
The problems with the franchise is many…The main issue is these damn CGI dinosaurs. (Yes there were CGI dinosaurs in the original trilogy, but were equal in practical effects)!

5:17, Everyone's entitled to their own take, but I love Chris Pratt. I don't know the guy personally, but the fact he is so resilient in his beliefs, despite the ridicule he receives is just so honorable. Its really nice when you see someone in Hollywood that actually acts like an ordinary human being, and refuses to change just because it goes against whats popular.
Many hunters are preservationists. They have a love of nature and respect for the circle of life and death that people who live in cities and only eat boxed food cannot appreciate. And hunting can be important to managing the animal population if there are predators endangering crops and livestock or too many prey with not enough apex predators to cull them.
Grace it is clear you don’t fully understand hunting culture and if you ever visited a slaughter house vs being with someone on a hunt you might feel different.
Seeing dinosaurs dominating Earth makes me glad to live in Australia! We can handle the sea and air based ones, but you Americans can keep the Trex and raptors 😅 (as long as there's no surprise stowaways on cargo ships)

100%, its not up my street. But if youre hunting animals with large populations like deer and you feel more respect for the meat you subsequently eat...whats the problem. The deer lived a better life than commercial cattle and its not going to endanger the population like big game hunting lions, rhinos, tigers etc.

In regard to Chris Pratt he’s playing a character. That’s his job. I personally would never hunt an animal; but I have to reconcile, that I live in a state where many people do hunt.
You always seem very progressive, but judging someone's character for hunting is a very privileged stance that is anything but. I do not hunt, but hunters play an important role in carrying on cultural traditions, keeping an eye of wild spaces humans otherwise would not go to and maintaining healthy ecosystems. Sure there is jerks with guns who kill animals without care. But that's not hunting.

I live in Australia. Most people don't know is because of construction of the dingo fence....we now have to cull the kangaroo population (that's hunting to prevent over-populating and maintaining the balance of the eco system.) Perhaps it seems cruel to people who don't understand these things but try telling Indigenous hunters that they don't respect the animals they kill for food.

I went vegetarian after I fell in love with my favorite animal who was also my favorite delicacy. Cuttlefish are so incredibly intelligent and their fellow cephalopods are unlike anything else on earth. Full stop. The broadclub cuttlefish is a magnificent creature. It's a master of shape-shifting by changing its skin color and texture all over. They can navigate mazes using singular markers like a leaf in a corner or a brick in a corner. They can use information like that and based on the item, they know which way to go. It's remarkable.

I'm not seeing a movie that has succeeded because it cost so much. If its a GOOD MOVIE I will enjoy it. This LOOKE FANTASTIC!!! So much more to see in this movie. Psyched is an understatement!!! The ropes used for cattle wrangling off horses can be pretty stiff, plus being in a cold environment. The look of that rope is 100% possible.

I do think its interesting to actually see dinos out and about in "our world" since Lost World only really gave us a small taste of that.

I've always followed the saying, eat what you kill. If you won't eat it, then you shouldn't kill it. Mice and rats are the exception.

I think that the frog gene gave the dinos the ability to change genders so male and females can breed :)

The dinosaur chasing Miss Howard was a Herbivore. It was probably being territorial. The dinosaur attacking the plane is Quetzacoatl. It probably again was being Territorial as well.

Truth be told, animals in the wild tend to die horrible deaths compared to domesticated animals, no matter their species, no matter where they're from - disease, cast out by the group, starved, eaten, or fighting for a mate. None of these are fun. Therefore, by either bow or gun, a hunter's kill comes quick, and animals are spared some suffering.
Added to the environmental impact, thinning of herds, etc, not to mention the food value offered hunters and their families, you can see, it's not really such a contradiction, that a man might hunt and still appreciate the animal he's hunting, and its life too.

5:17, Everyone's entitled to their own take, but I love Chris Pratt. I don't know the guy personally, but the fact he is so resilient in his beliefs, despite the ridicule he receives is just so honorable. Its really nice when you see someone in Hollywood that actually acts like an ordinary human being, and refuses to change just because it goes against whats popular.

Many hunters are preservationists. They have a love of nature and respect for the circle of life and death that people who live in cities and only eat boxed food cannot appreciate. And hunting can be important to managing the animal population if there are predators endangering crops and livestock or too many prey with not enough apex predators to cull them.
Movies don't make a billion unless people are seeing it more than once.
Grace it is clear you don’t fully understand hunting culture and if you ever visited a slaughter house vs being with someone on a hunt you might feel different.

100%, its not up my street. But if youre hunting animals with large populations like deer and you feel more respect for the meat you subsequently eat...whats the problem. The deer lived a better life than commercial cattle and its not going to endanger the population like big game hunting lions, rhinos, tigers etc.

In regard to Chris Pratt he’s playing a character. That’s his job. I personally would never hunt an animal; but I have to reconcile, that I live in a state where many people do hunt.
You always seem very progressive, but judging someone's character for hunting is a very privileged stance that is anything but. I do not hunt, but hunters play an important role in carrying on cultural traditions, keeping an eye of wild spaces humans otherwise would not go to and maintaining healthy ecosystems. Sure there is jerks with guns who kill animals without care. But that's not hunting.
Chris Pratt’s the latter though. Along with the idiots who shoot down endangered species for sport, and smile with the carcass for a picture.

I live in Australia. Most people don't know is because of construction of the dingo fence....we now have to cull the kangaroo population (that's hunting to prevent over-populating and maintaining the balance of the eco system.) Perhaps it seems cruel to people who don't understand these things but try telling Indigenous hunters that they don't respect the animals they kill for food.

I went vegetarian after I fell in love with my favorite animal who was also my favorite delicacy. Cuttlefish are so incredibly intelligent and their fellow cephalopods are unlike anything else on earth. Full stop. The broadclub cuttlefish is a magnificent creature. It's a master of shape-shifting by changing its skin color and texture all over. They can navigate mazes using singular markers like a leaf in a corner or a brick in a corner. They can use information like that and based on the item, they know which way to go. It's remarkable.

I'm not seeing a movie that has succeeded because it cost so much. If its a GOOD MOVIE I will enjoy it. This LOOKE FANTASTIC!!! So much more to see in this movie. Psyched is an understatement!!! The first dino we see is call a Crested headed dino. It's a newly discover character. They think the long flted part helped make a horn sound.
