Current run has the 7th issue coming out soon; it's actually an amazing (so far) comic run by Jed MacKay who also kicked a$s writing for a Black Cat comic run that just wrapped up.
I was just going to mention that Moon Knight is being published at the moment being written by Jed McKay but I will also point out that there are lots of great runs on Moon Knight if you look for them. I recommend the Charlie Houston run from 2006 as the starting point for modern Moon Knight and the Jeff Lemeire run from 2015
From this trailer and the acting abilities of Oscar Issac, I have a feeling this will be Disney Plus' most awards nominated show of 2022. Seems so different from what Marvel has put forward just like WandaVision was last year.
The reason I like the Moon Knight suit is because it doesn’t look MCU generic like a lot of the other MCU costumes. Edit: First off, I really like a lot of the MCU costumes, but you can tell they were designed by the same artists and they are.

He actually does have a current title, and by some miracle it's one of Marvel's top selling titles at the moment. Obviously, the show is helping, but the stunning art and writing have had to do with the maintained readership. 100% recommend.
I think the personalities were either given to Marc by Khonshu or at least enhanced by Khonshu's power. Maybe having multiple personalities makes Marc more compatible. The comics can lean into Khonshu's multifaceted nature to represent the different phases(faces?) of the moon. Overall, Khonshu watches over and protects those who travel at night but... It would be really cool if they make the strength of each personality dependent on the current phase of the moon. Each face can benefit from it's coinciding face of the moon. It's a waning crescent moon tonight, Mr. Knight at your service. Third quarter moon? Steven has your back!
i like the idea of he already have the "moon knight" persona and we are like one of his persona (steven) were we don't know what is happening, we will discover it through out the series, hence still an origin story
I was a fan of Moon Knight before. As a British person with mental health issues & a sleep disorder, I feel like I'm going to like & slightly relate to Moon Knight in the show. The 1 issue I have, is that every British character sounds like a non-Brit trying to do the accent. I don't think I've heard many people in the UK talk with that interpretation, but we do have *lots* of accents here.
i think he's supposed to be schizophrenic, but i'm not getting the vibe of an accurate depiction of schizophrenia. i just see the common trope of lumping together multiple personality disorder and schizophrenia plus unnecessary screaming to create "scary insane person syndrome". it would be really cool if it was accurate, and it very well could be in the show itself, but i don't have my hopes up tbh

Multiple Personality Disorder and Split Personality disorder are two very different types of mental illness, also MPD (^) isn't even referred to or called that, it is currently referred to as Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), MPD has stopped being used (except by people who aren't psychiatrists or therapists and don't work with or study psychology) in the 90's, to be exact around 1994. p.s not being a know-it-all or a hate commenter, just being informative.

I actually like the "new stuff", probably gonna get roasted seeing that most dedicated fans of anything like "the early days" of something and all swear to develop serious resentment towards any new stuff and all who like them. When I First read Moon Knight he was in Werewolf by Night in the late 70's. Then in the 80's He was very Batman like. No split personalities then just identities he used to get information. Can't wait to see this.
My friend and I collected Moon Knight in the 80s but stopped with The Fist of Kenoshu. He's always been an interesting character to me and I'm excited to see him brought to the MCU.
Grace, I suggest that you do some research into Dissociative Identity Disorder (what is now the proper psychological term for what used to be called “split personality disorder”). The people in Moon Knight’s system are not called personalities, they’re “alters.” I think the research into the psychology behind the show would be helpful for your coverage of the show!
i think the studio should get out ahead of any speculation and state "without revealing any further plot elements, we want to reassure the entire mental health consumer community that any representation of any actual psychiatric conditions in this series will be done with scientific accuracy and in consultation with experts and representatives of the consumer community"
I think the costume is completely awesome, very different of the cute and clean kind of stuff MCU normally does, and have an awesome dirty mummy kind of vibe.
The Nile is not a natural habitat for alligators so it’s more than likely, a crocodile. Crocodiles are pre historic and much more aggressive than gators.
You know what it reminded me of? Donnie Darko. This looks like it's going to be surprisingly dark and less Disneyish, and it is a lot edgier. It is interesting. Very interesting.
How can anyone hate on this costume? Marvel has bulky, armor-y, thick, foamy, pretty similar costumes across the board, i.e. Captain Marvel. This one has some armor on the chest and shoulders, but apart from that looks mostly like fabric and thin. More importantly it's DIFFERENT. I love this costume!!

I'm an MCU fan, and love watching videos on deeper discussions about the comics. I've never heard of Moon Knight but with Oscar Isaac leading the charge, I am VERY excited about this show.

Well with the rumored reshoots and the HUGE amount of Midnight Sons chatter after Eternals I wouldn’t be surprised if he con incidentally pops up in Multiverse of Madness… it does internationally release the same day as the last episode of Moon Knight.
I think they'll probably the first few episodes with a focus on 1 personality until we see how they work together. Really hyped for how this turns out.

Big Moon Knight fan here. Read the comics and even Cosplayed as "Mr. Knight" at the ECCC a few years back. Surprising how many people recognized the costume. That 2014 run by Shalvey/Ellis was very popular.

I'm English and a HUGE fan of Oscar. His accent is pretty solid, I can't place it but I would say it's definitely working class London. Very very good though, I'm impressed. Not as campy as DVD at all! Isaac never disappoints
I'm a fan of Moon Knight, and Moon Knight has an ongoing series that is currently on issue 7. Jed MacKay witting and Federico Sabbatini doing the art. In this current run There is a second "Moon Knight" since a person normally has 2 Fist.
This series has potential to be in my top 5 favorites. I don't think it will surpass Loki, WandaVision, and The Mandalorian, but it can certainly surpass the rest I've seen on Disney Plus.
Im so excited for this show. I always thought this character design looks amazing, maybe its the Batman fan in me but love seeing un popular characters from Marvel to shine. It shows WB is lacking faith with there unknown characters.
I think marvel is slowly becoming darker with certain projects so I hope by the time blade and ghost rider arrive marvel is fully able to provide a intense and worthy experience for the projects
Out of all the mcu costumes, this one looks unique, I have no problems with current costumes but they mostly look like shiny leather and all fit together 😂
The accent is on par with Doctor Strange's American accent. Strange = General snooty non-geospecific American accent. Steven = General docile non-regional English (borderline Australian) accent with a twist of cockney.
I like how much was filmed at the British museum. One of my favourite places in London & an amazing Egyptian collection. Also the cooler modern redesign, done quite a few yrs ago, has a cream tone but lit right can be the grey of Moon Knight. It looks like allot was filmed in Europe. I wonder if there will be any Black Adam influence as both are using Egypt. I guess many comic book artists & writers were influenced by Tutankhamun tomb being found. I missed seeing it when it toured different museums, but seeing it in Cairo would be even better.

Definitely crocodiles in Egypt. There's a demon/goddess called Ammit that has a crocodile head, hippo hindquarters, and lion in between.

My friend and I collected Moon Knight in the 80s but stopped with The Fist of Kenoshu. He's always been an interesting character to me and I'm excited to see him brought to the MCU.
Grace, I suggest that you do some research into Dissociative Identity Disorder (what is now the proper psychological term for what used to be called “split personality disorder”). The people in Moon Knight’s system are not called personalities, they’re “alters.” I think the research into the psychology behind the show would be helpful for your coverage of the show!
It would be disrespectful to the real psychology if the Egyptian god gave him DID, which is caused by serious, continuous childhood trauma.

i think the studio should get out ahead of any speculation and state "without revealing any further plot elements, we want to reassure the entire mental health consumer community that any representation of any actual psychiatric conditions in this series will be done with scientific accuracy and in consultation with experts and representatives of the consumer community"

I think the costume is completely awesome, very different of the cute and clean kind of stuff MCU normally does, and have an awesome dirty mummy kind of vibe.

You know what it reminded me of? Donnie Darko. This looks like it's going to be surprisingly dark and less Disneyish, and it is a lot edgier. It is interesting. Very interesting.
How can anyone hate on this costume? Marvel has bulky, armor-y, thick, foamy, pretty similar costumes across the board, i.e. Captain Marvel. This one has some armor on the chest and shoulders, but apart from that looks mostly like fabric and thin. More importantly it's DIFFERENT. I love this costume!!

I'm an MCU fan, and love watching videos on deeper discussions about the comics. I've never heard of Moon Knight but with Oscar Isaac leading the charge, I am VERY excited about this show.
It would be cool if they made a trailer for each personality.

This breakdown remind me of Nikki Sanders from Heroes. Which was a really cool concept while she didn't know about her split personality and powers, of course they didn't go anywhere with it

Well with the rumored reshoots and the HUGE amount of Midnight Sons chatter after Eternals I wouldn’t be surprised if he con incidentally pops up in Multiverse of Madness… it does internationally release the same day as the last episode of Moon Knight.
I think they'll probably the first few episodes with a focus on 1 personality until we see how they work together. Really hyped for how this turns out.

The Egyptian god associated with evil is SET, not ANUBIS. Anubis is the one who weighs the heart of the dead and decides if your soul is worthy of afterlife. I'm hoping they will get this right.

I think it would make more sense if they didn't share any memories. If they wanted to communicate, they could just leave notes or email each other.
Big Moon Knight fan here. Read the comics and even Cosplayed as "Mr. Knight" at the ECCC a few years back. Surprising how many people recognized the costume. That 2014 run by Shalvey/Ellis was very popular.

I'm English and a HUGE fan of Oscar. His accent is pretty solid, I can't place it but I would say it's definitely working class London. Very very good though, I'm impressed. Not as campy as DVD at all! Isaac never disappoints

I'm a fan of Moon Knight, and Moon Knight has an ongoing series that is currently on issue 7. Jed MacKay witting and Federico Sabbatini doing the art. In this current run There is a second "Moon Knight" since a person normally has 2 Fist.

This series has potential to be in my top 5 favorites. I don't think it will surpass Loki, WandaVision, and The Mandalorian, but it can certainly surpass the rest I've seen on Disney Plus.
Im so excited for this show. I always thought this character design looks amazing, maybe its the Batman fan in me but love seeing un popular characters from Marvel to shine. It shows WB is lacking faith with there unknown characters.
I think marvel is slowly becoming darker with certain projects so I hope by the time blade and ghost rider arrive marvel is fully able to provide a intense and worthy experience for the projects

Out of all the mcu costumes, this one looks unique, I have no problems with current costumes but they mostly look like shiny leather and all fit together 😂

The accent is on par with Doctor Strange's American accent. Strange = General snooty non-geospecific American accent. Steven = General docile non-regional English (borderline Australian) accent with a twist of cockney.

I like how much was filmed at the British museum. One of my favourite places in London & an amazing Egyptian collection. Also the cooler modern redesign, done quite a few yrs ago, has a cream tone but lit right can be the grey of Moon Knight. It looks like allot was filmed in Europe. I wonder if there will be any Black Adam influence as both are using Egypt. I guess many comic book artists & writers were influenced by Tutankhamun tomb being found. I missed seeing it when it toured different museums, but seeing it in Cairo would be even better.
I can't watch moonknight jumping off roof buildings without hearing Grace's "weeeeeeeee"
