- Big Tractor Power is out in the field with 350 hp 350 bu. MASSEY FERGUSON 9795 harvesting winter wheat with a 35ft AGCO Dynaflex Draper Head. Viewers will follow this harvesting team in the field as well as learning about the combine's production history, specifications and price tag. During video viewers will take a ride in the combines cab and talk with the farmer about the combine and his family's history with MASSEY combines.

Great to see a Massey combine featured!
It was a great opportunity to get to see a Massey in wheat.
Running an MF8780XP and a Gleaner A86 (silver MF9895 ) agco 6000 stripper heads in cereals, Gleaner 500, 8000, and 8200 flexes in soybeans, Gleaner 8row and 12row huggers in corn. Custom harvested from the 1940s thru 1970s with IHC combines, went Gleaner walkers L series then rotary Rs. Been buying used machines the last 30+ years, love the simplicity and reliability of the Agco inline rotors. Our local combine mechanic and our parts availability are exceptional.
I've run an 8570 and I'm using my 9795 in wheat for the first time this year. I just double checked, and I can use the concave blanks from the 8570 in the 9795. It's amazing how much more capacity they have gotten out of the same basic rotor.
Very cool on the parts. The 8570 is a combine I hope to film someday. The 9005, 9500 and 9505’s saw allot of advancements from 2009-2021. I enjoy watching your operation.

We are likely on our last Massey Ferguson as well. Currently run a 9540. It's a shame AGCO went all in on the ideal platform. We'll likely go New Holland as our next combine.
We run two Massey Ferguson 9695's Organic grain operation combining mostly soy, wheat and rye. Really happy with the sample they produce, especially for the food grade beans. 👌

I am always looking for Massey. This year has been particularly successful with featuring tractors and now Combine . I have about five more Massey’s. That got filmed this year that haven’t even been posted yet.
Dan loves his Massey combines. Really to bad they don’t make them any more I still run a Massey 860 as a back up machine for my Gleaner R65 and a little Massey 300 I run for fun.
Our family has run Massey since 1949 when grandpa bought our first combine a 1949 Massey Harris 21a. Our family has run nothing but Massey since then with a total of 19 Massey combines the last being a MF 9560.
The Fendt is pretty amazing also

The straw was really blowing out in clods at the end. I guess that's why the planter doesn't want to push the beans through! Nice video Jason.
This region had 80 mph winds 5 days before harvest. This year their was so much down wheat. When the crop is matted it clumps up as it’s cut and then blows out in the clumps. A few firms, I feel that this year opted to run a Kelly diamond Harrow in between the Combine and the planner to spread and chop out the straw as well as dry out the ground as it was pretty wet most of the harvest. I filmed the planting after this combine. It went well. The only concern when you have a lot of straw on top is that it will hairpin and block the seeded from sprouting.

I enjoy getting to talk with the farmers having their perspective on the machine beyond the specifications out of the sales for sure. I feel really ads to understanding how the equipment works.

I got to film the farms 7140 Magnum planting soybeans right after the combine. It was a red day in the field.
Still running an 8780 red throat machine with a 25 foot head. Does a great job and easy to work on. Now we have to look for a CaseIh, Deere for next time. I don't understand AGCOs thinking.
I can't recall the last time, if ever, e saw a MF combine in a field anywhere here in my state. I know there must be a few, but we just never see them. Nice to see one on here all the more.

Thanks for sharing the video Jason. I have watched that machine before. Know I know why they have Massey combines. I have had 4 combines in my life. I'm not doing much grain now mostly hay. I started with a 45 Deere and I then had a 300 Massey and I then had a Gleaner F and I got a Massey 550 and I sold it to the neighbor and it is still getting it done. I really enjoy your videos. Massey builds great combines !! The 1st time i saw a Massey combine it was on a custom harvest outfit using the 92. Great machines.
Very cool. Massey at one time was the most popular selling combine on the market. I grew up near the location of the Massey Harris combine plant. When I was a kid it had been converted into an outlet mall.
Just heard Deere went the way of Tractor Supply.

Run a 9690 Massey and have a an 8570 as a backup in northwest Ohio. Will be interesting to see if we have a dealer to get parts a service after Jan.1 nice machines!
Very cool. Nice combines. I read today AGCO’s Ag Revoltion will be opening branches in Ohio. Ag Revoltion started in Kentucky back in 2022 when our CAT dealer excited ag products. Ag Revoltion has been so good for Massey and Fendt in Kentucky. In the past under the old system, only a few Farms had Challengers. Milling in this area had even heard of or thought about Fendt. Now there are Fendt tractors every where. It’s been a positive change plus they stock parts for New Idea to AGCo Allis and all the other brands. I bought parts from them for my 1985 Farmhand built cultimulcher.
Great to hear this news about Fendts success. We run Massey Tractors with Fendt transmissions and they are awesome

Good old AGCO. Had to abandon another iconic brand. The 9005 Series are great combines. The Ideal combine is a Rube Goldberg mechanical nightmare compared to the much simpler Massey.

I have seen modern Massey combines in Clarksville, TN and Springfield, TN.
Why is massey not shipping here to the states anymore?
The Massey combines sold in North America were built in HESSTON, Kansas.
In 2021 they were retired from production as AGCO their focus to the Fendt Ideal combine and Gleaner combines. Massey Ferguson dealers are Gleaner dealers and that is the brands harvesting option now.

Once popular, I no longer see MF Combines in Iowa.
Massey stopped offering combines in North America after 2021. Starting in 2025 we will see the new T1 series of Gleaner combines offered as a harvesting solutions from Massey Ferguson to replace the combine gap at Massey dealers. They will still be silver.
