We run an 8700tt along with a 750tt and have been very happy with them. He’s right, the 8000 series is a corn monster and in beans we can run in conditions with the other machines have to sit for. Every machine has its challenges but Claas is best in our book!
Pretty impressive class 8 combine. There sure are a lot of high quality combines out there. The ride alongs are really great. To get the operators perspective is always appreciated.
They'd have to be absolute fools to have done that. You can tell it isn't his combine. There had to be about a hairs width between them if they didn't actually touch.
I grew up on Massey combines. From 92’s up to an 860. Then the last one was the 8460. The last ones they had under that name. It was a Class painted red with a Massey name. I was so impressed with the capabilities of that machine. It carried me through to retirement. Had I continued to farm I would have bought a Class . I tried many different kinds, red, green, yellow, silver. To this day I go to dealers just to see what Class is doing. Thanks for the video.
As sophisticated as modern combines undoubtedly are, it has to be noted how sophisticated their headers have become in recent years, whether it be a corn or grain head. Geringhoff and MacDon appear to be market leaders in that respect.
It's great to see one of these on duals rather than the track system they use. Seems that Claas combines are on tracks much more often than tires. I got a good chuckle out of the operator when he made the comment about passing the other combine that closely.😁
@@bigtractorpower the man himself replied!!!!! Love the videos and hope I can make my videos at the quality that you do someday!!! Hope you are doing well and god bless
This guy seems nice. Even if he is the bad guy from Diehard 😑😎😅. Joking of course. Claas is really bringing it these last few years and hearing his knowledge is awesome. Thanks for the great video Jason!
Great working machine that appears to get the job done . I love your presentation and they are even better when farmers break it down in Laymen’s terms !! It’s so interesting to watch these videos to see how it’s done ! The price of this machine with the 16 row capability with the cultivator is over a Million dollars . I think you said the harvester was 790,000 dollars and the corn cultivator was 199,000 dollars . They are extremely pricey but I guess if you have thousands of acres it’s the only way to go . I was wondering how they clean all the dust and dirt off their investment . Was thinking if they had an enclosed area that they could have jet blowers and at the same time be sucking it out no water would be needed and they would be easier to keep clean . Just curious because if it were me and I had to fork out a million bucks I would cry seeing all that dirt and dust knowing what was under the debri!!😂 Thanks for sharing the great experience
I wish the salesman would have understood your question of "what kind of corn is going through this?" You wanted to know bushels/hr, he thought what variety. In the previous video when you asked the JD operator he said they were doing +/-2000bu/hr I thought that was very low. I run a 730 with a 6 row head and I can get 1500bu/hr easily. Great video.
Corn is running 240-250 this year. On the S780 they were running in several broken up fields and moving around quite a bit so it was not a full speed ahead day.
I found it Interesting that the operator said he was beening made to run Slower because of the Green and Yellow traffic jam. I'm Guessing He could be going at 6.5 mph, and still not be working the Combined that hard, while the JD's were going at almost Max capacity.
Excellent video, assume they are trying to get some of the John Deere market. Maybe JD does not always have the best of everything, but their dealer network is larger. Take care, great to watch the fall harvest.
Claas are definitely the best machines on the market

Two very nice combines. Claas really has their combines dialed in. Impressive harvesting option.

Those 2 headers on adjacent rows - a heart stopping moment! I haven't seen that before.

I am in awe of how much you have accomplished with your farm
I always say this, I am glad they run actual claass colors.
I like the yellow Lexions but I like Claas too. It’s nice to see a full family style across the line now.
@@bigtractorpower I agree I think they will have a much stronger brand now.

By are you bothered by the tracks? Are you paying for them?

One of the best combines on the market today, great opposition for John Deere
Claas offers a great combine.
One of your better videos.👍😎
I am glad you enjoyed it.
Letting that beast eat!!!!!! I can’t wait to start harvest!!! We only run a 12 row on our 8600
The 8600 is a good combine. It really eats up the acres with speed 12 rows at the time.

What settings do you run in 30 plus percent corn?
I just love corn combine videos with these magnificent machines.
Great time of year to see big harvesting.
Love it! Exactly the type of machine I wanted to see today
Thank you for watching. I am glad i was able to catch this Lexion to feature.
I like the new lexions👍😄 they get a lot of work done in a day👍👍
They are an impressive harvesting option.
Glad to see one of these. Great machine.
That is a nice combine. Wow, 16 rows at one time. Great video.
16 rows do a good job eating up the acres.

Green and yellow traffic ahead is diabolical😂
Run a 750tt and 730 Lexion. Everyone always makes fun of the ladders, but that's one of the most handy things to have, I love our aluminum ladders.
You have a nice harvesting team. I need to catch them in action.
Wow that was a great shot of the combines passing in opposite directions that was neat the way the steps folded up an swung out of the way
Claas has a nice design. The access steps are very easy to use compared to another brand.
Thank you jason for this ride along video very impressive machine .and the technology is very impressive as well.
It was a great opportunity to cover so many features.
What a machine!
Very impressive machine! I love it!
Nice combine for sure to have
The Lexion is impressive.
Beautiful machine!
It’s a great harvester.
01:15. Five-hundred-THOUSAND combines? That's impressive!
It is. Great history in harvesting.
Impressive combine 👍👍👍
Nice informative video big T...
Thank you Craig.
Definitely impressive machines
Claas builds a solid harvesting machinery.
So in other words this class 8 Claas can do 2x the amount of corn as the class 8 JD780
Yes, it is the better green paint 😂
Possibly three times as much, nothing can stand up against a Claas in corn, and the newer ones are doing better in the soybeans as well
Nice setup 👍👍🌽🌽. A few big farms here in my area have gone with claas and they like them. We won’t start corn for awhile yet, we’ll do beans first.
Tip top has 5
@@King_Randy wow they can cover ground

👌Excellent👌 video
Thank you for watching. It was fun to get an in-depth look at the combine.

Очень познавательное видео шеф.
The music is very good
That pass next to the 780 had me nervous 9:55
They had 30 inches between them 😁.
Howdy bigtractorpower
Hi from Dexter🏠Missouri
Hi James.
Good video.
Thank you Frank.
Corn Eater !!!
The Lexion does a great job in corn
Any chance of getting the engine torque specs to go with the quoted horsepower?
I guess CLAAS is still a family owned company.
The Rolls Royce of all combines was the new Holland TX 66 fact🏴🏴🏴🏴 still hold on to there price
🚜😁💪👍
Thank you for watching.
👏👏👍👍👌👌🚜🚜
Thank Paulo.

hi nice machine how is the corn crop this year. did it grow good and how is it paying in price, is this for hogs and cows thnaks for the video.
The corn I have seen so far has reached 240-250 bu. The price is at record lows unfortunately.
New Holland CR 11 50 ft header its on TH-cam
Thanks for the video. Your videography is always great! Do you happen to know a list price for the new Case IH AF11? I’m guessing over $1M.
Google it
All manufacturers have a list price, call a dealer and actually ask them. 99.9% of combines tractors etc don't sell for msrp.
You clearly have the internet. Look it up.
I dont suppose they have one of these on Etsy or Amazon?
That cab is really loud.
Takes alot of corn to make a million dollars
It takes allot of investment to raise corn.
Excellent video, assume they are trying to get some of the John Deere market. Maybe JD does not always have the best of everything, but their dealer network is larger. Take care, great to watch the fall harvest.
There’s no Deere combine that can keep up with it in corn.
If you go to the trouble of saying diesel emission fluid you may as well say diesel exhaust fluid. The e in the acronym doesn't stand for emission.
Thank you for pointing this out. I will use exhaust fluid going forward.
Class isn’t part of Ag-co is it?
It is not. Claas is its own independent brand.
Claas has always been it's in brand
One of the last big agri companies that is owned by the original family
@@bigtractorpoweralthough they came under cat as Claas
Only 16 rows of corn?
The largest head available on the market is an 18 row and very have been sold yet. Most farms use 12 and 8 row heads.
So tracks cost over $100k?? Jeez.
They are an investment. When you need them they really pay off. They always reduce compaction.
Ten days to get a baler part , I'd never own their combine.
What did brand of baler did you trade to?
Talk about putting crap through a goose
Why is that?
I don't mind class but I like john deere better
No one asked.
@@gregjames5070 no one cares
Both great brands. It was neat to see them running side by side.
Anyone who hasn't really had the chance to compare the two in their daily work is showing ignorance by writing such garbage.
