Phnom Penh Central Market: BEST SOUVENIR HUNT

  • I visit the Central Market in Phnom Penh, Cambodia and find the best souvenir there is!
    The Central Market is located in the city center of Phnom Penh, Campuchia (Cambodia). It opened in 1937, during the French colonial period when Cambodia was part of French Indochina. French architects used an art deco style to design the market, and it still stands today as an art deco landmark in the capital city.
    The center of the market features a large dome, and it is surrounded by a square of other vendors.
    The market has lots of different items to offer: household products, clothes, kitchenware, dried foods, a wet market fresh meat area, and more. There are even beauty salons and jewelers at the market.
    The market seemed to have some tourists present, but it also seemed to be catered towards locals as well. This contrasts something like Ben Thanh market in Saigon, Vietnam, which pretty exclusively caters towards tourists.
    Anyone traveling to or living in Phnom Penh should go check out the market, have a walk around, and find some interesting things!

    Peppermint, I think is for restaurants. Go back and get the gold vase, it was cool. I think pedicures, are for like cats and dogs. Get fruit, for the hotel room. Oh, don't get glasses and plates, you have a long, travel back home. What about taking a plane, back home? Five hours, on a bus, is way too long.
    Ok great video, I was totally in!!
    All the best

    Great videos. Really enjoyed the market tour. There was a prime opportunity to get a haircut and you passed! you must be 100% loyal to your barber in HCMC!

    WOW!! People in Cambodia, speak more English than in Vietnam. I was a small kid, then, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam were French colonies. Every night, at the close of the News, were about 5 minutes, of names of boys from the New York, area whom were missing or killed. Kids are funny, as I thought, the Police action, would last so many years, that I were be "Drafted". I also remember, the pictures of the news where college students, were killed at Kent State, while protesting against the war.
    Now, I'll continue watching ur, vid.
    I might add comments. 😊

    I didn’t fully understand at the pepper buying situation, I only hear number 1 number 2 number 3 😅

      @BigTimeBentley  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      3 different qualities of pepper. Grades 1-3, 1 being the highest, 3 the lowest. Grade 1 pepper is the most uniform coloration of peppercorns.

    Wow. The women offered you the green Vase for 3$, and you were insisting 10$ for one so she was confused. So she asked if you were buying 2 Vases for 10$ and you kept insisting to buy one for 10$. You reverse bargained. Thats the only store that did not overprice things, unlike the previous stores that flipping called x5 more the original price. idk how you got to the conclusion that she wanted 2$ more.

    u should give them a 80% -90% what they ask for and walk away, see if they will accept.

      Kampot Pepper is actually one of the the highest quality peppers in the world and it is usually 3x the price of regular pepper. So.
