I was on the edge. I needed Vampire Hunter/Savior in my library which have a decent netcode. But its ability to matchmake Warzard, Vampire Savior 2 and Cyberbots at once is a deal to me. It's like I have the 1999 arcade scene in my PC. And I don't see any lack of player base within 5 years. This is good. I'm gonna preorder now. Oh, Warzard is an action game not a fighting game, and you can save the progress as a form of a password.
How does Red Earthonline versus mode even work? Are you just restricted to the 4 playable characters or can you use the bosses too? Looking forward to this on Friday, though Cuphead's DLC arriving 6 days later is annoying, not to mention Steam Summer Sale is soon.
Dang. I forgot about Cuphead. I'll have to get that, but man, I guess 2022 is just a great year for games (and 2023 looks to be as well), because I've already bought a lot. Not at $60, though but so far this year, I got/ordered Andro Dunos 2, Sonic Origins, DNF Duel, TMNT: Shredder's Revenge, and some from recent years, RagingBlasters, Rigid Force Alpha (on a good sale), Kaze & The Wild Maks, and Project Wingman. Next year, I know there will be Resident Evil 4: Remake and Street Fighter 6 at least...
It’s crazy. I’m just happy to play Hyper Street Fighter 2 on my switch 😅. The Darkstalker games are just a bonus. I can’t wait to hop into this. Definitely getting the PS4 version as well.
There was just one thing I needed to justify a preorder a couple of days early: in-game win screens in online matches. The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection cut the online games off before the screens could appear, but it looks like that isn’t the case anymore! Pre-order obtained! >:)
This collection is awesome. Been playing it constantly since it released. Online matches feel great. And as a whole way better than the street fighter anniversary collection. I love the games in this collection; but I'm gonna wait to get the Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium that has 6 of of the 10 games here ( minus the 2 alternate version of Darkstalkers Vampire Savior and Red Earth, and Cyberbots which was already released in the 1st arcade stadium collection). I can't see anyone buying both this and the collection coming out next month; and if I'm gonna choose; I rather take the loss of online features over the extra games. Also scummy of Capcom to sell the games in the second stadium for $4 a game; which if I just bought the games that I already didn't have in collections released earlier this gen or come in the Capcom Fighting collection; would be more expensive than buying the entire 2nd Stadium at $40. I encourage others to look at the list of games between these two carefully before they decided; because it really is ridiculous they didn't just give us 1 big collection of these game with all the features.
Will be picking this up mainly to prove to Capcom 'the old 2D fighters are still relevant so can we please have a Marvel collection?'. Thing is I'm not seeing a physical release listed anywhere in the UK. Amazon still has a placeholder...hope we get it!

I'm probably being very picky, but I wish they'd add more games on these. Like add on some street fighter zero 2 alpha, alpha 3 Max etc, like more hidden gems as we have gotten most of these games apart from the Vampire saviour 2 games many times. Not just the stock arcade roms with training n online. But I'm still psyched
I'm a little letdown on what was offered in terms of variety. Wish Rival Schools, Project Justice, Tech Romancer, Star Gladiator, SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, X-Men: Children of the Atom Saturday Night Slam Masters, MARVEL vs Capcom 1 and 2.
So i don't get why devs can't implement one button macros by having the computer put in the inputs for you at the speed a regular human would rather than instantly (or maybe even slightly slower to encourage learning the motion input). You'd get the feel for how long the move would normally take to come out as a beginner without getting the advantage of the move coming out instantly and lose some minor advantages like being able to execute dp's faster from a forward input, or inputting the motion and waiting for the hit confirm to press the button in exchange for the reliability. Am i misinformed here?
That could absolutely be implemented. The issue then becomes what your standard is for 'regular human'. Because the pros can do stuff way faster than amateurs. I think devs would just be better off not having difficult inputs and balancing around that instead though. Reading your opponent is more fun than pushing buttons faster.
I can't believe... none of the reviews, early access, previews... ever go into the EX settings. Been diving through so many videos... and NO ONE covers that cool setting that toggles some nice bonuses on and off, such playable Huitzul/Phobos & Pyron in the first Darkstalkers. It's unbelievable. You would think people, especially fighting game veterans/enthusiasts would really notice that one, especially with how Vampire Savior & Vampire Savior 2 has a divided cast because of the memory limitations of the CPS2 boards. I'm going to literally have to wait for my copy to find out, because it occurs to NO ONE to cover the EX settings for each game. Lmao!
Lol this is the reason why I watched this video. To find out what EX are avaliable. I saw one trailer where it said EX options and it picked Akuma for Gem fighters (I presume in the arcade version you had to access him via code ala Dan/Akuma in SFA....memory isnt great) Another tralier showed darkstalkers 'fish' do a crouching attack side by side with EX option crouch block on/off But aside from these two examples Im clueless. Infinite bars in Darkstalkers? Max level character in Red Earth?
If only this also had the Alpha/Zero series, I would have bought it. Alas, it doesn't. And if this doesn't do well, Capcom may again incorrectly think, "Gamers don't want another Darkstalkers game". Actually, that's the total opposite. I want another one...a new one! But it's been over 2 decades since we've gotten one! (Although really thinking about it, Darkstalkers has always been an anime-like game, and I don't know how well it would translate - or if it should translate - to a SF6-like semi-realism. I'd prefer it to stay anime-like.) I love the classic Darkstalkers games, but them together with the Alphas/Zeros (all versions/regions) would have really made this worth it.
Not saying you should/shouldn't buy it, you do you. But we got all the alphas in the 30th anniversary collection. Alpha 3 PS1 version is really the only thing we haven't gotten.
@@nextgencowboy True. I think I passed that one up because it didn't have Darkstalkers. And I passed the previous Darkstalkers collection up for some reason. With this, it had both Street Fighter and Darkstalkers, so I thought it might be the holy grail, yet it was not to be. :) Maybe I need to just buy two games when they're on sale...or emulate... I'm probably not going to dig out my Saturn very soon...

Like add on some street fighter zero 2 alpha, alpha 3 Max etc, like more hidden gems as we have gotten most of these games apart from the Vampire saviour 2 games many times. Not just the stock arcade roms with training n online. But I'm still psyched
Already started playing vsav on fightcade game is so good
Can't wait to play darkstalkers online
Always leave 1 button on that way you can always discount loses and blame it on 1 button moves
I miss super gem fighter, looking forward to that.
buying this for hsien-ko
This won't beat Mister FPGA set ups but it's cool for the week 1 and 2 casuals in my opinion.
Fightcade and emulation exist so no. Stopped paying for slightly polished old rope a long time ago.
Blessed be to all five fans of this collection
Can’t wait for Cyberbots!
SAME!!
Imagine we got this for the MVC series???
I'm a little letdown on what was offered in terms of variety. Wish Rival Schools, Project Justice, Tech Romancer, Star Gladiator, SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, X-Men: Children of the Atom Saturday Night Slam Masters, MARVEL vs Capcom 1 and 2.
Since Capcom handled the development themselves, it did much better than Darkstalkers Resurrection by Iron Galaxy studios.
I want to see the rollback on puzzle fighters
I saw one trailer where it said EX options and it picked Akuma for Gem fighters (I presume in the arcade version you had to access him via code ala
Dan/Akuma in SFA....memory isnt great)
Another tralier showed darkstalkers 'fish' do a crouching attack side by side with EX option crouch block on/off
But aside from these two examples Im clueless. Infinite bars in Darkstalkers?
Max level character in Red Earth?
wish they would bring back the Bloody Roar series. 1-3 are great.
I'm about to be the Pocket Fighter GOD in this lol
I really want a Darkstalkers 4
Gimme Pyron!!!
Wait for the macro moves does it imitate the input when you press it?
Voice chat = best collection
What about SF Alpha 3 Max?
@@bruticusmaximus9944 when I said ps1 I meant the versions with world tour. I'd prefer PS1 as I feel max, even with 4 extra characters, doesn't play quite as well. But you're absolutely right, Max too. My one issue with SF 30th anniversary is it is only the arcade versions, there's no version of sf alpha 3 with world tour (PS1 or Max would have been fine with me)
Does it come with enough Fighter's Edge/Capcom Edge points to combine with all of these I got for PS1 before, so I can finally, 25 years later, have enough points to get a friggin' SFA2 soundtrack CD?! O.o
Hyper SF2 is the best kind of degen. CE dictator, WW guile, ST Sim, HF Sagat. They're all messed up. It's great. I can't wait to ruin people's days
Woo hoo! Looking forward to this
i wish this was the street fighter collection was
Of course yes
The only thing keeping me from buying it day 1 is the fact it's 40 dollars. If it was 20, I would have gotten it as I did with the beat em up.
Looks great!
What’s so broken about World Warrior? I guess I never noticed. The bosses are definitely broken and apparently you can play as them?
We need Capcom collection 2 with cvs2 mvc2 thirdstrike super turbo with rollback
I'm deciding between this and dnf duel.
Question on training mode. Is dummy record/playback mappable to buttons? or you have to go into the menu every time to start/stop record and change to playback?
