  • This is a pretty simple job and will largely be the same for most the Husqvarnas, KTMs and other motorcycles and dirt bikes as well! Super simple job that anyone can do!

    Good video. One comment: the old fluid in the reservior should be first removed by drying it with paper towls, then fill up new fluid, then bleed.
    Bleeding all that old fluid with some junk makes no sense and takes more time and wastes good fluid.

    Although I know how to bleed brakes I always like to watch/learn. And your video was excellent in teaching someone how to bleed there brakes. Well done. Nice bike

    Why use the vacuum pump? Just open the nozzle, pump the brake lever slowly and keep adding oil until the desired quantity (whole used fluid) comes out, then close the nozle, close the brake reservoir lid and you are ready to go!

      If you open the nozzle without at least having a one-way check valve on the end, you risk air getting into it. Vacuum pump or an attachment with a check valve is a better option. - Jaren

    hi nice video , I got a big question, i got the Magura 167 brake and clutch, and I would like to connect the clutch hose to the brake master cylinder , so I can handle the clutch on the right hand , do you think is that possible ?

    Do i have to change the fluid completely or can i just top it up with fresh fluid?

    • @OregonDualSport
      @OregonDualSport  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can just top up of it's low, but it should be flushed completely yearly - Jaren

      @@OregonDualSport Thanks! Well the change will be done yearly by a mechanic.. just happend to start getting low as my breakpower has decreased quite a bit.

    I could not get any fluid to come out of the caliper. Tried it with this tool as well as the motion pro tool and after a few minutes i gave up.

      That is interesting, and not normal. Might try taking it to a shop

      @@OregonDualSport Thanks. The fluid was clean, and I have no issues with the front brake at all. Was just killing time with Covid. May look at it some more, but the brake works just fine. I have also seen a lot of other comments on other you tube videos of the same issue.

    Is it the same thing for changing the oil for the clutch?

    My brakes are extremely soft feeling and non responsive(I have to pull in the lever pretty much all the way). Can this be fixed by doing this?

    • @OregonDualSport
      @OregonDualSport  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you likely need to bleed the brakes and put new fluid in.

      Arm Pump my bike had the same problem but all I had to do was just bleed it and not change the fluid.

      You should be able to get one at a local auto parts store!
