I found a modified sinclair and re-modified it with suspension front fork, hub motor and ebike battery. its 10x better now and actually drives like an electric scooter.
You have a lithium iron phosphate battery ... i.e. a lithium ion battery. It's not a lithium polymer battery. Lithium ion batteries are commonly used in electric vehicles whilst lithium polymer batteries are generally the small battery you may have in a phone.
Could bave just got m5 battery posts couldn't you? Hows testing going as im not sure that battery has enough continuous current. The BMS will cut it out when going up hills etc.
I have quick release automotive M8 size connectors that are really convenient so wanted to keep using them. Battery works great even up hills! I’m getting at least 15 mile range.
Did spend ages trying to find the right post converters with correct but none available. Seen other C5 owners do this to fit Lithium battery to the quick release car terminal connectors. Also means you can still use it with any standard car battery.
Maybe, but I like the convenience of the quick release connectors I have. Not sure if there are equivalent quick release options for M5 screw terminals that the battery came with.

Amazon! LiPo batteries are the one thing I noticed seem not to be getting more expensive at the moment.
Could you use two LiPo batteries & increase the range 🤔
@@iantheinventor8151 yes in parallel but seems like 1 is enough for my requirements as I’m not going to do a trip long enough to drain it.
Was the C5 never pedelec, ie you need to pedal to activate the motor?
You need to use the pedal to get going or it puts too much strain on the motor.
Wouldn’t it have been easier to change the connector on the cable rather than drill the battery?
