I really wish people would mind their business! You are a grown ass woman! Karen is more put together and successful than most of us could ever dream of. Chill people. Take care darling and hello to Roger xx
I couldn’t have said it better myself! I don’t think I could have a TH-cam channel. I couldn’t be as nice as Karen when addressing the people who have nothing better to do than criticize others.
You may make it worse with nasty comebacks. She IS a grown woman taking care of herself. No sense pouring fuel on the fire. It comes off so hostile. Peace out ...your concern doesn't go unnoticed ❤
Karen, you're the best. You're sun-shiny, even when you're feisty. Gotta set people straight sometimes. You and Roger are the image of what love and life is. Happy Valentines Day!
Those Nay sayers will always be there 😞don’t ever feel like you have to answer. Those people need attention , don’t give it to them . I enjoy how together you are . Happy Valentines Day ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
When I'm in an over priced GW it always gives me great pleasure to find something awesome for cheap that they missed! Like the glassy baby I found for $2 - turns out it is a retired rare one. That's my way of feeling better! 😁
I wish I could be like Karen. She is the reason I started reselling. I binged watched her videos and started my business. My inventory is based on her inventory just a smaller amount lol. Keep up the GREAT work Karen and Roger. Wishing you two a Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!!
@@reneeprice2966 Hello. Yes I’m very happy. I wish I could make enough to sell full time. I know about the high prices. Texas is raising prices every week. I shop GW bins now.

Don’t even waste your breath Karen you are awesome !!! Obviously you wear your seat belt but people need to shut up and appreciate all the knowledge that you and Roger share.
This is your channel you have a right to express your feelings honestly and you are always kind about how you say things and very mindful not to hurt feelings so people should be the same way with you
Karen you have been such an inspiration to me! I watch every single one of your videos from beginning to end. You inspired me to start selling on eBay and I even started renting a shelving unit at an antique mall so I could sell there as well. You are so knowledgeable and I have learned so much! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and reselling wisdom with us on TH-cam! Don’t change a thing! It works! Alison from Ohio!
You are VERY knowledgeable and I enjoy your “speaking about things when you don’t know what you’re talking about.” 😊 I chuckle out loud sometimes. Your shopping videos are my favorite. You make my heart happy! Thank you.
Some people need to learn the adage: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." But some people never learn! That antique basket from the first stop is a terrific find! You have a great eye Karen! I believe that item will bring you a huge and well-deserved profit. Happy Valentine's Day to you and your sweet guy!
Can't believe people complain. I'm like Roger, I am 68 and have had only a sip of coffee. Tea for me. Love you guys. Happy Valentine's to you and Roger.
I watch Salvage Hunters with Drew Pritchard(?) and a large % of his goods come from other dealers, and they know he is buying for resale!! Flea markets work on the same principle as indoor antique malls - the difference is the booths are outdoors. You are buying from other dealers for resale. American Pickers TV Series - same. Just the nature of the beast. It is how the resale business works and anybody that does it for a living knows that. I had a massive garage sale when I moved from Long Island to Pennsylvania. Stuff I had been buying at garage sales all my life - vintage, antiques. I knew there were going to be lots of dealers there so I marked thing high enough where I made a profit and low enough that they could make money, too. Truthfully, don't even respond to comments that are a bit snarky or too "in your face". If you want to drive with no seatbelt, blindfolded, going the wrong way down a one way street - that is your choice and your business. Your content is great, you and Roger are decent, honorable people - enough said.
I can understand why someone would make a remark about buying from other dealers but the truth is, the other dealers are making a sale and that's a good thing. Making sales in antique booths with so much competition is not always easy so I would be happy. I wear my seatbelt but I will tell you a story about my father. Back in the day, before seatbelts, he was driving a truck and had a wreck. He said if he had on a seatbelt he wouldn't have fallen over which prevented the steering wheel from crushing his chest! He was always leary about wearing them. I still maintain antique booths can be a cut throat business. The longer you do it, the more you learn. You have to be tough and actually in the antique world, you have to be tough regardless. Everyone wants the sale. The rent has to be paid and then you want profit. The items you sell in your booth seem to be a little different from the usual antique booth. When I had one, the items "had to be" antique. Nothing new. It seems as though you can just have vintage and not antique which makes probably for an easier sale. One thing I would be careful with is anything a person could wear like a pocket book or hat. Believe it or not, a person will just put them on and out the door they will go. I still maintain it's a lot of competition and there will be good months and not so good months. With the money you make on You Tube and Reselling from the thrift store, I still think you will come out ahead. 50 items to mail!! You should be doing very well. Good for the two of you!
Thank you for all of the information and education. My husband and I thrifted together and collected lots. He put lots of things on consignment in stores in L.A. He was in the moving business and came home with lots of tips!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY Karen and Roger, I love you both guys, I am in Toronto, before Covid 19 we used to drive to Pennsylvania every summer, that time I did; not know you, God willing if We drive this summer I will definitely visit your booth ,
Always amazing to me what people think is their business. If you want to go without a seat belt, wear underwear on your head, use a paper sack as a purse or whatever, it isn't anyone's business. I have several friends that have you tube channels and I'm shocked at the things that people say! One of my reseller friends buys all his inventory from Walmart and Target, Dollar Tree and Costco. He's doing quite well, but occasionally someone comes out of the woodwork and tells him how awful he is for taking things away from those who need the discounted items.
I can’t believe you found that oak basket. Someone didn’t realize what they had when cleaning out grandma’s house. Sue Winget is also is a fabric designer. It certainly is a basket kind of day. Do we love a good basket? Yes we do.
I had a booth years ago, and we all bought from each other to sell at a profit! eBay was new, but several of the booth renters were starting to sell on it also. They could buy merchandise at a booth and resell for more money on eBay. We were both making a profit as the items in my booth were garage sale and estate sale items, and I was thrilled that they sold!
Scanpan is a premium brand of cookware made in Denmark. My brother bought me a large frypan for a wedding gift 35 years ago and it is still my favourite pan. Hubby has been bringing me a morning coffee in bed since forever. I can’t start the day without it. Nothing better than a decent quality brewed coffee. Gosh think of all the $ Roger has saved over the years on coffee. It’s very popular here in Australia where we are renowned for some of the best coffee cafes. Love your videos. I have watched every episode of yours and also your daughter Mellissa. She is a credit to you.❤❤❤
From one Karen to another just wamt to say Thanks for sharing all your adventures. You make thrifting and reselling fun and interesting. The stock you have in your home is so great and organized. Keep up the great work Karen. Your good will has lots of valuable and cool stuff Karen.
Happy Valentines Day, Karen and Roger ❤ so cute that Roger had his first coffee ever ! He would do anything for his love. I like the baskets, and it's almost Easter again. Karen, you found another old New England basket, looks very well made. I so enjoy your videos every Sunday and Wednesday . ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I hadn't had coffee for over 48 years, got a really early morning job about 5 years ago & started to drink it to wake up. My husband has always drank coffee, now I make it for my husband & I every morning. We cook popcorn in a pot too😀
Id wear that belt buckle as a necklace or brooch. Youd have to buy the items to do that or even as decor. Affix to a wood plank or odd small tray. I love it. My sister has a backyard tortise.
Geez, I don't understand. Why do some viewers think that they have the right to criticize or wag their fingers, disapproving of things the people who put out videos on TH-cam about what they do or their content. Especially when they spend so much time filming and editing their videos for their followers. Good for you Karen, keep doing what you do best! Your followers really enjoy watching you and Roger hunting for treasures!
lol, I grew up being a tea drinker. My neighbour became my "other mother" got me drinking coffee in my teens. Then I went back to tea until I purchased a coffee kiosk in 1999. I am now a total coffee drinker in my 60's. Starbucks is fun but I a so cheap I won't spend 7 for a fancy coffee now. lol. Can I just say again that you and Roger are my favourite people to listen to. I love your channel and think what you do is so much work. Shop on!!!
Personally, loved you’re little rant at the start! And you were still kind and funny about it! Ok- the show you were referring to may have been Beverly Hills, 90210. The furniture style you mention a bit later is “Stick and Ball” -at least the wood furniture is called that. And OMG! That basket!!!! What an amazing find!
Karen you're the best! I just love you and Roger. You're very professional, smart, funny, and so organized. I love how you just get to the point and nip it in the bud and back to business. I also have a booth, and other vendors buy from me all the time and resale the items. Sometimes, I see those things in their booth. I don't ever get upset. I'm happy for them. We buy from each other. It's the name of the game. It is theirs to do whatever they want. I got my money and they got theirs so everybody is happy.
I want tall unusual lamps, mostly ceramic so I can use outside to put solar lights into. Like up the walk to our house. If I stick in the grass hard to weed whack around or have to take out. Also raises the light up. Works better to see where you walk. Someone probably just use the cup with faux flowers in it. Its nice if you like it as more rustic decor.
People today are just so rude and have nothing else to do but critize others because they aren't happy and or just plain envious of your life. I'm just keeping it real. Love following you!!😊❤
Happy Valentine’s Day to you, Karen and Roger!!❤ I got to go thrifting today and I was channeling Karen and lo and behold they brought out a ceramic Christmas tree, I’ve been looking for one for a long time! I got it, it’s a medium sized one but that’s ok, I love it!! ❤❤❤
Also, our hair color fades and as we age it looks lighter (usually in the front first) because most of us are Grey in our 60s. My auburn hair color is naturally highlighted around my face after about 2 weeks from the application or sometimes immediately after a retouch if I'm in a hurry.. Personally, I stopped highlighting it because it so quickly does this itself!... I am a hairstylist btw....
Hey friend, I normally watch you on my tv in my office while working but I had to get on my phone to tell you that you inspired me to take a deep dive in the basket world! 😊
Wow, I can't believe the value of the egg gathering basket. What a great find 😍 Scanpan is an expensive brand of cookware here in Australia. Could be worth a look up. Xx
33:20 my folks had that popcorn popper all through me growing up, they still have one now and I have always had one throughout my adult life! Yes, obviously we all love it! I also use my cast iron skillet to pop my corn in and I have my Granny's kettle with the stirrer and the handle goes up through the lid. I only use it when I'm feeling sad, thinking about my Granny and my Aunt who recently passed away. 😢
Oh my! This is why I am dragging my feet on starting a youtube channel. I am not as pleasant as you are when responding to some of the comments. You are doing great and look absolutely fabulous!
Im late to finding your channel so binge watching your videos. Its amazing I don't see a lot of anything on those goodwill shelves here in Callifornia. I know some is area. Ive now retired more rural in a fishing hiking area. Lots of flannel shirts! But since I sew and upcycle them thats good for me. But Los Angeles only 3 hours away so we have some vacationers and retirees from there. Interesting things show up. I found a pristine ceramic teapot. Unusual shape hard to describe but its was sold for $300 previously. I dont resale a lot of home goods, yet. I tend to give to my friends or family that the item suits them. I do also fix things up. Im a kind of alternate use person too. Found a nice ceramic tray with little feet to put in my bathroom to keep the handsoap bottle, qtips etc on. Its a baconater or the microwave! I see some things Id buy as I would use, or paint them in a different way. I buy large unusual ashtrays to use as catchalls in my sewing room. Pins, bobbins etc. If at any time you were not wearing a seat belt maybe you just parked in lot and getting out but as many said not their business.
People need to mind their own business! Your just a lovely lady & hubby! Don't explain to stupid or rude questionsl! You don't have to......your such a joy to watch and listen to and learn from🤗💖. Thank you for sharing what y'all do! Sending ya love from Texas🤗
Actually I am commenting on the music your Goodwill is playing! Niko Moon, Good Time, is one of my favorite singers and this song! Just changing up a little!
Hey, you are the reason I started selling on EBay and I love it. Thank you for ALL you have taught me, your willingness to share your business practices is much appreciated. I’m on social media and this is my view on “naysayers”. People have a tendency to look at things only from their perspective. Sometimes it’s extremely narrow and often times they may be projecting. Wish them well and move on.
The phenomenon when you start seeing something everywhere after you notice it (the stacked ball lamps & chairs) is called the the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon! 🌈the more you know🌈😁
I've loved spindle beds for a long time with their classic style and curvy lines. You'll often see them called Jenny Lind beds and sometimes spool beds but they all have some level of turned wood rails (the repetitive ball shapes)
Oh my gosh, Palmyra is “my store”! I definitely have to comp everything there and shoot for 1/2 price day because some of their prices are crazy. BUT as you say, they can’t catch it all and I’ve found some treasures. I was thrilled that I was correct in passing up the swirl glasses and the hand blown Mexican glasses that you left behind. I was able to get the scan pan egg poacher on half off day. It sells for 79.98 on Amazon. So sad I missed you by “a day”, I also missed Dr. Lori at this location as well. Absolutely love your channel!
Hearing about Roger's first cup of coffee I amused myself by watching him through the rest of the video to see if he started moving fast or seemed a little extra peppy. 😂
Hi Karen, I know you love those little boxes, I’m a 72 year old woman, from California, and when we graduated from Hight School, we received one of those boxes, way back in the Day, I wanted to mention this to you, but never did, till now 😂 love you guys, take care ☮️
Your videos are very informative and I’ve learned so much from you. I’ve learned how to leave stuff on the shelf and be more selective. You Rock! Say hello to Roger-he’s cool! Happy Valentines Day to both of you ❤

Amen! Well said.
I haven’t watched the video yet but I already know everything you’ve said is true and thank you!
I couldn’t have said it better myself! I don’t think I could have a TH-cam channel. I couldn’t be as nice as Karen when addressing the people who have nothing better to do than criticize others.
We all as resale buyer’s and sellers sale from each other. The seller gets the price they ask for it, so it’s a win for each person.

That basket was a great find! I think the car mats are too!
Hey from the UK. Celbeidge is a place in County Kildare in Ireland. It’s probably touristware.
Wow, Roger just disappeared from the car! There is no end to his talents!
Celbridge is the name of a
Village in Ireland.
I make baskets and that was a really good find.
Xx
Happy Valentine’s Day, Karen
ThT greenish coffee mug would make a nice little Vase for wildflowers.....
I so look forward to your videos! They are informative and your voice is relaxing. Thank you so much.
wish our GW was this good (NC)... do not have this much hard goods and their prices are pretty reasonable... great video
LOL... Roger will be running up and down the isles after getting done with this coffee. Love your videos
Congratulations on your first coffee, Roger! The egg gathering basket is just gorgeous Karen! A real work of art 🥰
The phenomenon when you start seeing something everywhere after you notice it (the stacked ball lamps & chairs) is called the the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon! 🌈the more you know🌈😁
And the style of chair is a spindle.
😊
Classic style. The beds are timeless, too.
I would have used the green mug for a planter. And I loved the stacked ball lamp
Take the car mats to a carwash. They have mat cleaners outside the building. Just fed the mat into the washer and it does all the work. Easy.
I can’t believe an American man has never drank coffee before?
Go Roger Go!
Karen too….❤️❤️❤️
I've loved spindle beds for a long time with their classic style and curvy lines. You'll often see them called Jenny Lind beds and sometimes spool beds but they all have some level of turned wood rails (the repetitive ball shapes)
My hair same. Born blond and color it now but will get brighter in the summer.
the "pig" crock is for saving bacon grease ( people ( me included) resuse the fats for beans and other dishes that need a little Kick .LOL
Roger is getting the 3th degree on the coffee 🤣🤣🤣 (just kidding 😉).
OMG... I had those canisters years ago. Loved them!
My husband is 56 and I’m 59 neither one of us have ever drank coffee 🤢 we tell everyone we are to young to drink coffee 😂😂😂
You two are so cute,.. Rodger is the best husband ever! He is so perfect for you!💕 Happy Valentines Day to you two love birds!
Those little boiled wool mice are adorable! And that basket is everything!!!
Your videos are very informative and I’ve learned so much from you. I’ve learned how to leave stuff on the shelf and be more selective. You Rock! Say hello to Roger-he’s cool! Happy Valentines Day to both of you ❤
I have a booth too. We buy and sell from each other. Karen you and husband just continue to do what you do! I have watched you for a long time. Thanks for all the hard work you put into your videos.
