Transverse and Longitudinal Waves

- This GCSE science physics video tutorial provides a basic introduction into transverse and longitudinal waves. It discusses the difference between the crest and trough of a wave as well as other features such as frequency, period, wavelength, and wave speed. Examples of transverse waves include electromagnetic waves, water waves, and waves on a string. A sound wave is an example of a longitudinal wave.

You taught me more in 2 min than my teacher over 2 weeks
So true Same with me
@@mikeyoussef3513 i think he graduate lol
The guy in the video is behind camera and just explaining without being distracted.
Your teacher has to probably teach around 20 to 30 students most of whom will judge like you. Don't undermine somebody just to admire someone else
@@SuperPupBruno teacher in chat
same but my teaher tought all this in like 3 weeks
Each time I watch one of your videos i am shocked that I always understand what you say and what you mean , and Iove understanding what I am studying..
It took me 30min or 45 min of researches to understand the difference between transverse and longitudinal waves, and here you are explaining it perfectly with examples in 5min , and now I will come to your channel whenever i’m lost ;)
Brief and concise
What software he uses for making tutorials? Plz answer if you know 🙏🙏
its called candice.exe you can find it on Microsoft store
@@taukaelin1362 HAHAHAH
I left this channel last year after I graduated high school thinking I’d never have to come back. Rumour has it that my college is still laughing at me for making such an assumption
Lol
My teacher can teach me this in like 1 month and bro taught me this in 5 mins
Same!!!!
You have been the best almost in every branches of science. Thanks bro! God bless you!
The only TH-cam channel that I never skip ads.lol..he's doing huge key role by helping students like this. Appreciate your work.
Yay thanks man this was good tmrw is my final exam tysm
👍👍👍👍
😌
U ment tysm
@@IDK-fj2yu ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Same..
"So the wave is moovin."😂
Love your videos by the way
My teacher literally tought this lesson for weeks and also my tusion class teacher even taught it for up 10 hours. but I didn't got a single idea. You literally owe a medal of being a good teacher

If your interested in a proper visualization you can wath this video from minutes 13 or some. th-cam.com/video/WpOexcM71DE/w-d-xo.html
Man prefect timing, we doing waves and ray optics right now. Videos on these would be great if possible. Thank you very much for everything you do for us all!
me too dude! I wanted some help on this topic so I went to the best youtube channel (this one of course) and I found this video in the nick of time!
Omg me to except the rays
So to know the difference just by looking at a graph, the longitudinal wave would look like squiggly lines and the transverse waves would look like "properly-drawn" lines
yes
😂
The greatest teacher, In schools this is thought for more than weeks you did it in minutes
Please make a video on transverse longitudinal waves. Please
I am an high school student in Turkey, and we learn waves, circular motion, simple harmonica motion an moreee, hard but we have to learn this
You are the best teacher I ever found online
5 mins. of gold
Final exam tomorrow, thank u so much
Those underating their teachers should stop... I love his teachings he is d best for me . Buh d little I could learn from my teacher is what helps me understand even better. Much love to our teachers out dere. And much love to you JG
I'm Soo lazy to read cause of how well u cover all d important part everytime
GOD used You saved my first semester... I know HE will again in my second coming up.
This was helpful...the teacher hardly explained anything and I'm writing
2:29 transveseverse 😂👌🏼
Please do more gcse vids
Gak bisa bahasa enggres 🙂
Love your videos, they help a lot, thanks
Thank you so much 🥰 from South Africa 🇿🇦 this helped a lot
Hi, can you please cover "progressive waves" too
You're a great teacher! Thanks for the video
I have homework and didn't understand anything but now I just learned like my entire class
oh shit i just google any topic and always find ur videos, The Organic Chemistry Teacher you are the best! thank you for you work!
can someone help me on physics, the question was to find the difference between transverse and longitudinal waves which I can managed but then it says I should refer to ultraviolet, ultrasound and seismic waves which Im not exactly sure what they are and how it's linked.
If you have found the answer then can you share it 😅

pffft. easy as pie. we learn things tenfold difficult that theese in Turkey, ı wish ı were you...🙃
Final exam today. Let’s hope that I don’t disappoint my parents
How’d it go bru
You are one of the best teachers i have ever seen
Thank you.Can you send me A transverse wave of frequency 100 Hz and amplitude 0.50 mm travels along a string of length 20 m
and mass 80 gram. The string is being stretched by a force of 1000 N.
a. Calculate the speed of this wave.
b. Write down a wave equation for this wave, assuming that it travels in the positive X-direction.
c. The wave is reflected at the other end of the string and a standing wave builds up. What
condition(s) must be fulfilled for such a standing wave to exist? Show that these conditions
have been fulfilled in the present case.
d. Which harmonic is this standing wave?
I’m g4 chillax
holy shit thank you
It's really useful for me. It easily to understand I don't get in past .Thanks a lot
Thank you very much .
What is the relation between the wavelengthand the frequency of the wave with the speed of the wave. Does changing the frequency change the speed or does it affect the speed??
thank you sir!
can you please tell me the name of the app you used for the drawings?
Pleaseeeee....can you do more videos on GCSE !!
Don’t tell me I’m learning year 10 stuff In year 8 😱
Thanks sir
Your so helpful
thanks you fery mucht
Agree
Is work done by a transverse wave zero???? Since the particles vibrate up and at right angles..
You actually drew a transverse wave which had been modulated instead of a longitudinal wave.
My univeristy physics final is today, in about 2 hours. Holy damn, the timing! This, electricity and fluid are on it
lmao, I learnt this in grade 10

Thank you verrrrrry Mach 🥲 finally understand it
i think you said it wrong , the trough is one that is the max at the top , and crest is the lower one
No. Crest is the top and trough is the lower one.
Nope
Lies the crest is at the top and the trough is at the bottom
really helpful. thank you.
This video is very useful..
legend, great in depth explanation
Thanks soo much the video is so understandable
You're the best bro😊
Your voice is so smooth it makes me wanna sleep
Thank you so much. Learnt a lot

isn't a wavelength meant to be one crest not 2
Did you stop upload
