  • On the island of Djerba, Tunisia, 150,000 Muslims and a small Jewish community coexist, making it one of the last Jewish populations in the Arab world. The historic El Ghriba synagogue, believed to contain relics of Solomon's Temple, is a key pilgrimage site, especially during Lag BaOmer. Here, women perform rituals seeking health and fertility, continuing ancient traditions.
