I was with my parents, driving to the Daytona 500. We were making our way through georgia-in an ice storm-and my mother was driving. At no more than 5 years old (my brother with me in the back seat, no seat belts of course was 4), i remember my dad trying to advise my mother on her driving, which essentially led to a very minor fender bender with a guardrail. My father, being a stock car race driver from Indiana, did not fare well in his tete-a- tete with my mother, of course. As they bickered I listened to Al Green as I cuddled with my blanket and my brother in the backseat. The week he passed away , I was in a rental car with my mom and my brother, whom I rarely saw after HS, and Al Green’s Let’s stay Together comes on, from beginning to end. To this day it’s my way of knowing my father is visiting me, whenever I hear this song. Thank you God❤️

My husband and I danced to this song for our first dance during our wedding at Sandals Grande couples resort in Antigua.. it's been 8 years now and ahhh...oh well... he sent me this song early this morning as a makeup and reminder of our vows to stay together no matter what..
