I will continue the search for a better optical adapter between the camera and the microscope port. There must be something out there that solves this problem.
@@voltlog hi, have you solved the problem yet? if not, have you tried using the 0.5 camera adapter lens? it is commonly being sold as a set with some budget trinocular microscopes like in this one : www.aliexpress.com/i/33006764834.html
I would say that 100% of the devices I own, don't have any problem with inserting/removing the SD card while powered on. Based on that, I would incline to believe this is not a feature but a bug on this camera.
I know this is old now but what you need is a C mount to CS mount adapter. It's basically a threaded 5mm spacer. Your camera has a different focal point distance than your scope, focal point distance difference between C and CS is exactly 5 mm, otherwise they're functionally identical. This spacer in aluminium can be had for 2-3 bucks inc shipping on ebay, AliExpress, amazon etc.
I have a problem with my camera, it automatically adjusts the light, it decreases or increases the light, I would like to know how to turn this adjustment off
It's like there is something wrong with the geometry when the extension tube is shrouding/defocusing the field of view. It's like the camera has to be lowered to another optical convergence point.
nice video, how conect my hayear camera (HAYEAR 2K 51MP 1080P 60FPS HDMI USB) to my pc (Lenovo all in one) via HDMI? do you have any video about that? I will use the camera for microbiological applications.
@VoltLog Hi VoltLog, just discovered your video, because I am currently looking for a camera for my microscope. I currently use a Yi 4K action camera with a different lens for my microscope and have made something myself that I can use the action camera as a microscope Camara I am very happy with my quality (you can watch the quality in my TH-cam videos). I am currently looking for something else with the same quality it should have a DVI output and 4K, best that I can transfer it live to PC. can you recommend me something ? would be very happy about an answer. best regards
My camera is showing different view from my mirsocope! For example in microscope I see the entire board(iPhone board) but in my monitor I see so little it is so close! I tried everything there is no option on monitor nor in camera. Can someone help me?
Interesting little camera. I wonder about the still quality; 34MP is a lot more than 2K. Have you tested this? Does it only work by SD card or can it also work by USB?
I know this is a reply to a 2 year old comment, but I have purchased a Hayear camera that is "34mp" and 4k at 30fps, if I do a still image the image itself will be 34mp, but the actual resolution is just upscaled from 4k, possibly even 2k or 1080. The image is not truly 34mp at all, sadly.
Ich have the same problems with the cam like you. Camera View is not the same as the optical and no standard adapter is ok for this. I also buy them at banggood. If you have infos please inform mie!
You can adjust the ring on the camera itself, little grub screw on the side, loosen, turn ring where you screw your adaptor in , out, until everything is in focus together with what you see through microscope, retighten grub screw, jobs a gooden...
Changing the distance between the lens and the camera is probably not the way to go. Try changing the distance between the microscope and lens, that should introduce less field curvature. If it works also depends on your microscope. Some have correction designed into the eyepieces or are made for small camera chips (can never reach the full field of view).
I tried inserting part of the tubing from the original 1x adapter that splits into two, between the microscope and the the 1/3 adapter. This makes the focus worse and crops the image.
I've phuvcked witht his for hours... does anyone know how to get it to display to the comptuer app over USB-C? I can get mine to display over HDMI to a TV fine... but to stream a video feed to the ap running on the computer... I can't get it to work. Someone told me not to plug the power cable in, just the USB-C cable but that don't work... I get no lights ata ll.
Hi Please can someone pass me the firmware of this camera since I can not get it anywhere. HY-1139 Hayear 34mp video 2k @ 30fps Sensor Panasonic Cmos Sensor 1 / 2.33 inch thank you very much !!
It's 2023 and I purchased a Hayear camera, I had not seen your channel or video when purchasing, but almost all the issues you report (except the vignetting and out of focus edges which had to do with mounting) still exist on this 2023 produced 4K camera. Their software and firmware is pretty bad, but for the price I am getting satisfactory results. I'm afraid a product with software and firmware that was good would double the price of the product sadly.
I'm also currently looking for 1080p@60fps camera, but main problem is all of sub 150$ with IMX334 sensor (that has really awesome quality) and 1080p@60fps in specs in reality do not provide 60fps even over HDMI, in couple of review videos filmed and uploaded at 60FPS, those I vas able to find, with models from this category it's visible that image on their 1080p monitor connected over HDMI refreshes every 2 frames. Next price milestone for cameras with this sensor is 450$+, those cameras have real 60fps over HDMI and even in without frame stepping you can see how much smoother object movements.

I like the camera and stand...the display, well I'll just use a FHD monitor I have. Unfortunately, I will not deal with Bangood, so I have to find it elsewhere. Thanks for showing us this though.
Hi VoltLog. Thanks for the excellent video. I got this camera in my wish list, and like to purest it soon. You video help me allot to see what I am going to buy. I will be using it on my telescope. Love the remote control, because with the telescope, you don't want to touch too much. Have a good day, God bless.
A 1/3 optics is a "wide angle", it will cost an arm and a leg to make a wide angel with little distortion. 1/3 is eyepiece is meaningless : you may as well get a digital camera with HDMI live view that can make macro focus ~ 1cm.
Geez... they want an extra $130 for the stand. Is it worth it, or should you just make your own... I don't have a microscope. I don't like that it doesn't have an SVGA out port, but I guess you just have to use and HDMI to DVI or HDMI to SVGA cable. fpv.air-war.org
The 1x adapter splits into two parts and the 0.3 (1/3) lens screws into this bottom "spacer". Seen here in this video: th-cam.com/video/hJ9G67zT6C8/w-d-xo.html

I gave up on the „camera on my binocular“ because I had the same issues like you with sharpness and field of view. Now I have a stand-alone camera.
I will continue the search for a better optical adapter between the camera and the microscope port. There must be something out there that solves this problem.

Yes! But you have to use Lens along with Camera.
How's the camera holding up? No issues with reliability?
