jilles van der Burg lol I've been strictly taking ice cold showers for the past few days now, probably the best way to bring yourself into the present moment and get energized
this is easily the best produced video you guys have done. really really smart to do all this work for the garberg review since this is the knife everyone is wanting to learn more about. cheers from oregon
the Garberg is an outstanding knife, and is by far the best production knife Mora has ever made. Even with the leather sheath, the price is totally reasonable. It's frustrating to see how many people complain about the price.
My girlfriend hates you guys ... i bought this Mora Garberg ;) Her reaction " Another ?!!! Why ? You are crazy ..." Love ur channel, keep doing whatever you're doing !
+Ben Ray Hahah! Our Girlfriends arn't to happy with us either. But we're proud to have provoked this particular discussion with you and your girlfriend. A man and his knife.. you can't find a greater love. Stay sharp sir
+Ben Ray Hahah! Our Girlfriends arn't to happy with us either. But we're proud to have provoked this particular discussion with you and your girlfriend. A man and his knife.. you can't find a greater love. Stay sharp sir
Ahah ! i will try the garberg this weekend, i have already the real steel bushcraft D2 but i dont like the jimping and the handle for my hand. I hope find his successor ;)
So i tried this mora, here my conclusion : Holy Shit ! I love this knife, i think it's my best bushcraft knife ! For 69€ go ahead !! I don't regret my purchase ! I don't understand why people complains about price, if you compare this mora to Esee 4 (120€) there is no comparison ... the Garberg is better
Thank you guys for the honest reviews about the Garberg! I’ve recently bought one inspired from your videos, and I can say it is the the best bushcraft/survival knife I’ve ever used!
because of them i bought both of them. The robust and the garberg. And the lionsteel m5 G10 too is on his way because of them. HAHAHA. My girlfriend hates these guys
i love watching u guys. i dont get to get out as much as i want to. here in the States where i live they r just destroying the forests. putting up houses everywhere.... so when i cant get out, watching u guys can b a therapy of sorts. awesomeness guys lol keep loving life.
Hey guys, first all, just want to say I love you're channel, it has taught me a lot on knives, which to try and which to stay away from, I've been a hunter, camper, woodsman probably longer than y'all have been alive, lol, and I'm still learning, I recently purchased the Garberg and was amazed, it does everything you say and more !!! I do not buy knives often because I usually make my own, but the Garberg equaled any that I have ever made, I am still going to carry my choice handmade with me on my outdoor adventures but the Garberg will be be with me too as a backup knife, y'all keep these great videos coming and I'll continue to be a loyal watcher thanks brothers, later, P.S. folders will NEVER replace a good fixed blade, NEVER, lol
You guys are my favorite TH-cam channel. Not just bushcraft and knives, but for the entertainment value and fun. Seriously, you make me laugh out loud. Also, I love this knife. It's become my favorite. Thanks for the awesome videos!
I held off on buying one of these because of the Canadian price. Last week, I chanced upon an online sale was able to pick it up for CDN$71. Amazing deal & now I'm glad that I have it. Great review, thanks.
redpanda1971 Wish I had been watching. Massdrop has it for 59.99 USD I just don't trust that I won't get nailed for all kinds of duty. Killer deal. how have you been liking it?
Alex Symianick Yeah, they might impose duty. I'm still on the fence about it. For a hard use survival knife, I think it should've had a fingerguard. My bushcraft black and survival seem just a capable, except I wouldn't hammer on the butt end of those. I usually carry a chopper so it's not an issue. As a 1 tool option, safety should be paramount. The hard plastic handle is kinda slippery, in my opinion. The egos are great, though. I prefer the Kansbol but I would pair it with a saw, at the very least.
You guys sold me on this knife, I pulled the lever $56 American free shipping for the leather sheath edition WOW I can't wait to get mine soon, it shall be my EDC. Thanks for this awesome review your videos are the best on TH-cam hands down😀
Dreoilín ÓCoigligh Sorry I didn't see your comment, I found mine on amazon, but I would totally pay $65-70 no problem. Now that I own one and have used it extensively I gotta say its the ultimate Mora, the 14C sandvik is top notch steel, I've never had it on any other knife and I gotta say it hold an awesome edge.
Glad I found you guys! This is a time when there is a ton of stale content on TH-cam. I'm very happy to have found a new channel that features people actually enjoying life and not just trying to be TH-cam celebrities. Happy to be a new subscriber!
I just received my first Mora Garberg... This knife is EPIC !!! Build quality is superior. The one thing I really like about this knife that no other knife has is that it has a short drop at the point allowing this knife to be extra strong. Other knife makers tend to make a false blade on top in taper it an inch back. This knife does not. The taper is less than 5 mm, which gives the knife a whole lot of strength up front. For 70 bucks this is the best knife there is.
You got to love Mora, one of the few companies around, where the quality of the product matches the amount of money it costs the consumer or in some cases even sold below its value. You dont find that very often anymore. And of course you have to love you guys for your content, so funny guys, you are the best. Gruß aus Deutschland ;)
I stumbled upon this video by chance and I'm so glad I did! You guys just put the biggest smile on my face. And made me buy a new knife! Looking forward to go through your other videos. All the best!
As a knife nut I am ashamed to admit I have been ignoring the mora...Looks like its time to take the plunge this offering is full tang so very nice.Great review.
i remember watching a vid of these guys way back it had so many dislikes, the vid quality was crappy, and tons of hateful comments. I just remember thinking how funny they were. Im glad they stuck with the videos and improved greatly
Dutch Bushcraft Knives no problem man! i think it was the sharpening the higonokami knife on a dc4. i remember looking at it back then and seeing a lot more dislikes than now. keep up the vids man they are awesome!
I bought my Garberg b4 seeing your video. It has become my favorite knife. Enjoy watching your videos, keep up the good work. Aloha from the Big Island, Hawaii.
Wow guys I got mine today and have to say, Holy CRAP! this knife is amazing at feather sticks & has the sharpest spine out of the box. I was worried about the grip being hard but honestly it feels great. I highly recommend the leather sheath for anyone making the decision cause its very well made , it looks and feels very old school. It reminds me of my Grandpas knife from when I was little guy back in the early 80's, I can't wait to scuff it up and work it in😁 Once again thanks for your awesome review guys.
M & M (Mickey and Martin)! You guys seriously crack me up. Thanks so much for the lighthearted spin on knife reviews. Always super informative, but mixed in with the perfect comedic relief. Here in my home state of MN, we have a place called the Boundary waters (BWCA). It is the most visited wilderness location in the U.S. If you ever made your way over to the US for a visit, I would be more than glad to host you guys and take you there on a guided trip. Again, thanks for all the lessons and laughs!
Marcus Phillida carbon steel is awful because it rusts after you sharpen it it may be strong vs everything that isn't liquid but liquid is everywhere I have a Lindbroms knivar made from high carbon steel which was amazing in every way but it rusted literally over night because I left it outside and it was drissling
ive watched this video so many times, love the music you put in your videos also i think that the reason so many people complain about the price of this knife and how well it works is because they cant properly sharpen it ive practiced your method of sharpening and the results are amazing i was able to get it hair popping sharp as well as mirror polished and it was a way better at carving and feathersticking then it was origonally keep doing what you're doing
I have two mora blades. I have the robust which I bought from a sports show in my town, and the bushcraft black, which I got while in Florida. The robust is far more easy to sharpen and gets very, very sharp when I do sharpen it, and all you need to do to the bushcraft black is strop it every once in a while. Still shaves. But I’m running low on firewood, the wood that I currently have is either green, rotten, or wet. I don’t have the resources to make fires like I used to last summer.
Hallo dutchbushcraftknives. Thanks again for the refreshing, unique review, very nice!! This knife is great and worth the money. People say that 100 euro for a mora is too much. But this is not The Mora we all know.It is a new design from the factory Morakniv! Fulltang, extruding tang, also bit like Fällkniven, steelwill druid and more. The sheath is better than fallkniven, very good steel, sturdy knife.50% less money than a f1.maintenance free knife, I like it a lot.Keep up the good Reviews!
Yep, We are very surprised by the results of this knife! It really is amazing. Don't want to talk down on the F1 though. But like we said in the video, looking at the price we would choose this one. People shouldn't complain about the garberg and its price. It's a good knife, period Have a great day!
Awesome review, took away all my doubts about this knife. And finally found one at a good price around$65. Can't wait for it to arrive, keep up the good work dudes
it was used on Amazon, it looked like somebody tried to sharpen it on a pull through cheap sharpener thing but I touched it up on the stones and it's great, very satisfied
2:33 "This knife still is sharp. It even will....." Does he mean "cut off my hand?" Oh, now I see. It's shaving.... Booooooring... I have seen hands shaved by knifes hundreds of times. ;) Love your channel. Keep on doing what you do. Greetings from Germany.
having a really hard time picking between the Garberg and the Enzo trapper kit in 01. Combo bushcraft EDC. I have big hands and am leaning towards the Garberg. my Main concern is edge retention. All my current knives need daily sharpening. Thanks for the great videos.
Both the garberg and O1 would need sharpening if you have used them for a whole day. If you have a strop with good compound you could also strop and it could last another day.
I honestly the best part is how clean the cuts are I thought when I first went to this channel I thought that you were good at using knifes not the knifes being good but now I know that you and the knife need strength im not going to say why well, why not because id you dont push it down the knife wont be able to cut it but if the knife is dull it will tear it not cut it. Oh and the only way you dont have to use strength is if the knife is like 10000000x has stronger than the one you have right now im going to end now this is a really, really, really, really, really, long comment
hahaha thanks mate! If the knives are not good we'll be sure to tell it ! We sharpen all our knives to be razor sharp before testing so we can see what the knife can actually do. The factory edge almost never shows the knife's true potential.
Yeah I would like to see a review of the Kansbol as well please. Great videos lads. I stumbled across your channel while looking at the Garberg and I am now in the process of watching pretty much all your videos. Really good content keep it up.
Hello good, a question. When sharpening the Garberg you do it according to the scandi angle or you do it by the microbevel that comes from the factory. Thank you!!
love watching you guys having a good time. you have won me over I will have to upgrade from my companion (which is a brilliant knife by the way) and get a Garberg at some point! best wishes from the UK.
awesome test man! just talked a co-worker of mine out of a condor bushlore and into a mora companion, not on purpose, just told him prices and my experience with the companion
just ordered mine!, hopefully I'm looking forward to it holding its edge longer than my well used companion. I don't think I'm ever going to need another bushcraft knife in my lifetime now!
Well I've just gone and bought a Garberg, I already own 3 Mora knives and my crappiest one is my favourite the little 860 with the black blade but I think the Garberg I've just bought with the multi mount might just top my little sturdy 860. I think I might just use the 860 to do the gardening now, like edging the grass up to the border stones but I'd just like to say the 860 in stainless stays sharp long even under heavy use and is a doddle to sharpen so I hope the new harder stainless on the Garberg will be close in terms of sharpening. Wouldn't it be good though if they done a special in a true super steel like CTS Maxamet or something ? Oh and made it very affordable !
What would be better between morakniv garberg and the Fällkniven F1 original in terms of bushcraft capabilities, durability and general utility (like hiking, hunting, fishing, etc.) ?
After all that work it was still that sharp? No sharpening? I'm from Sweden but no fan of that brand cause I thought it's crap (based on price) I have to get it
+jesss uufdy we normally go to 3000 grit and strop with bark river black and white compound. It also depends on the stone how long you have to sharpen. We had a lot of practice. In the beginning we couldn't make them as sharp as we can now even on the same stones
Dutch Bushcraft Knives OK thanks ya, I actually just ordered the bark river compound from knives and tools and I have the naniwa super stones, and I'll keep practicing, love your content and keep it up
Great video! I just got one as well. Mine is not that sharp though. Doesn't shave hair and doesnt slice paper as good. Id like to learn how to sharpen this knife. Could you help?
Great work yet again guys it's your fault in part same as a comment below, i too keep getting in trouble with my wife when another piece of kit turns up delivered by the knife faery unexpectedly, out of nowhere it seems 🤔 Gotta get one of these after seeing your review and Dave Canterbury demonstrating one too at the UK Bushcraft Show. Theres some truly awesome knives out there but most seem to end up going for their Mora's as a first option day to day 👊
Great knife, great channel, love the logo too. From the title I thought you were knifemakers. Your knowledge on steels is impressive. I know the difference between an expensive and a cheap steel, but nothing next too you. I does come down to blade geometry and heattreatment for me. For instance a kukri is made out of springsteel(old truck springs), nothing fancy, still one of the best thought out andbusable blades.
Yea it's nice! We personally are really on the lookout for the "best supersteel'' out there in the world. It is a very intersting time at the moment because alot of knife companies are starting to use exotic steels! Gotta catch em all man!
Your videos should be a treatment for depression, seeing you guys enjoy life and nature and sharp things could make anyone smile
hahaha thanks a lot mate! that's good to hear!
Jordan Ownbey yea there dope as fuck
I agree you guys have a great attitude that makes people happy, that's a special thing in this world.
jilles van der Burg lol I've been strictly taking ice cold showers for the past few days now, probably the best way to bring yourself into the present moment and get energized
Dapdoi Ardon same here man
Great job boys. Your videos are getting better and better.
thanks mate!

the Garberg is an outstanding knife, and is by far the best production knife Mora has ever made. Even with the leather sheath, the price is totally reasonable. It's frustrating to see how many people complain about the price.
Yea.. if people would just look at the results they would see that the price would is no problem.
Exactly

same here 😂😂😂
Sweden produces very nice knifes, they have a long tradition of woodwork and steelmaking.
Thank you guys for the honest reviews about the Garberg! I’ve recently bought one inspired from your videos, and I can say it is the the best bushcraft/survival knife I’ve ever used!
I like the music you guys use on your videos. You should let us know what it is in the information section.
Of course it's great, it's a Mora! I bought the Mora Kansbol and I'm very happy with it!
Because of you I bought the mora robust, thank you. You need to keep up the good work!
because of them i bought both of them. The robust and the garberg. And the lionsteel m5 G10 too is on his way because of them. HAHAHA. My girlfriend hates these guys
I bought a Garberg b/c of this vid, its a tank of a knife. Also the music selection in this vid is on point
thanks a lot! enjoy the knife!
i love watching u guys. i dont get to get out as much as i want to. here in the States where i live they r just destroying the forests. putting up houses everywhere.... so when i cant get out, watching u guys can b a therapy of sorts. awesomeness guys lol keep loving life.

Can't beat Mora for the money. Greetings from the USA. Laura

thanks a lot craig! the kind words mean a lot to us!
Thanks for interducing me to the bushcraftshop!I bought my GB Small Forest Axe from there.
you are welcome!
"Mickey The Beast", you are so awesome. That's hands down, the best Mora Garberg review so far. Thanks.
Thanks a thousand mister Smith!
I held off on buying one of these because of the Canadian price. Last week, I chanced upon an online sale was able to pick it up for CDN$71. Amazing deal & now I'm glad that I have it. Great review, thanks.
Where did you find it at that price? i haven't been able to find it cheaper than 120$ Canadian.
Alex Symianick Black Friday sale on the site named after a South American river. The Bushcraft Black was $30, too.
redpanda1971 Wish I had been watching.
Thanks for this awesome review your videos are the best on TH-cam hands down😀
wow thats cheap... it's $110 here and the knife is from Europe lol.
thanks a lot!
Dutch Bushcraft Knives LOL no doubt that's so messed up.
Dreoilín ÓCoigligh Sorry I didn't see your comment, I found mine on amazon, but I would totally pay $65-70 no problem. Now that I own one and have used it extensively I gotta say its the ultimate Mora, the 14C sandvik is top notch steel, I've never had it on any other knife and I gotta say it hold an awesome edge.

thanks a lot Jeramy!
Informative, entertaining hosts, and very well edited, this surely is a greeat channel.
i remember watching a vid of these guys way back it had so many dislikes, the vid quality was crappy, and tons of hateful comments. I just remember thinking how funny they were. Im glad they stuck with the videos and improved greatly
haha thanks a lot Darryl! you probably watched the esee video then. it got a lot of hate haha.
Dutch Bushcraft Knives no problem man! i think it was the sharpening the higonokami knife on a dc4. i remember looking at it back then and seeing a lot more dislikes than now. keep up the vids man they are awesome!
thanks a lot mate! we sure will!
I bought my Garberg b4 seeing your video. It has become my favorite knife. Enjoy watching your videos, keep up the good work. Aloha from the Big Island, Hawaii.
Aloha! thanks a lot !
It reminds me of my Grandpas knife from when I was little guy back in the early 80's, I can't wait to scuff it up and work it in😁 Once again thanks for your awesome review guys.
you are very welcome mate! thanks a lot and congrats on your great purchase! we have one coming in a leather sheath as we speak!
love the slow motion shots, definitely one of the best bushcraft channels by far.
I really enjoy the content

I'm definitely in love with that knife
I was dreaming of a knife like that made by Mora. You Guys introduced it to me first -> subbed your channel!
I was dreaming of this knife made of carbon :(
Marcus Phillida carbon steel is awful because it rusts after you sharpen it it may be strong vs everything that isn't liquid but liquid is everywhere I have a Lindbroms knivar made from high carbon steel which was amazing in every way but it rusted literally over night because I left it outside and it was drissling
You guys are heroes .I like the mora garberg
ive watched this video so many times, love the music you put in your videos
also i think that the reason so many people complain about the price of this knife and how well it works is because they cant properly sharpen it
ive practiced your method of sharpening and the results are amazing
i was able to get it hair popping sharp as well as mirror polished and it was a way better at carving and feathersticking then it was origonally

Hallo dutchbushcraftknives. Thanks again for the refreshing, unique review, very nice!! This knife is great and worth the money. you guys got yourself a new customer. American construction worker and I'm gonna use the piss out of it.
Awesome review, took away all my doubts about this knife. And finally found one at a good price around$65. Can't wait for it to arrive, keep up the good work dudes
that really is an amazing price!
Where did you get it for $65?
it was used on Amazon, it looked like somebody tried to sharpen it on a pull through cheap sharpener thing but I touched it up on the stones and it's great, very satisfied
it was a great deal I couldn't let it slip away lol
whats the song at 6:10. I can't find it in the description, comments, or using shazam. If anyone knows and could tell me that'd be much appreciated!

Greetings from Germany.
Garberg is a tough as they come, at the right price.
All of the music? Who is it? where does it come from? haha
just bought one of these glad to see you test it.
Always having fun! Making it fun to thumbs up. Love it!

the craziet knife review.. you make it look elegant..
awesome test man! just talked a co-worker of mine out of a condor bushlore and into a mora companion, not on purpose, just told him prices and my experience with the companion
haha good choice! condor's steel choice isn't half as good.
Just stumbled across your channel. Excellent videos full of great information and high entertainment value. Thanks fellas, keep up the good work
thanks a lot! We enjoy doing it!
Thanx, great video. Very pertinent test of the knife and enjoyable to watch.
Great knife, here in Ireland I bought it for €85, it's a great piece of kit and the multi mount works really well too.
Great deal! Hope you continue to have fun with it!
Should I go the leather sheath?
just ordered mine!, hopefully I'm looking forward to it holding its edge longer than my well used companion. I don't think I'm ever going to need another bushcraft knife in my lifetime now!
Mora are fast becoming my favourite knife, another great video guys luv ya
thanks a lot!
You guys make amazing videos; entertaining, informative, and we'll done.
denleemel thanks a lot!
Great job guys! I LOVE this video!! the knife isn't all that desirable to me, but never the less, the video was presented like I was watching a movie.
thanks a lot! it's good to hear!
music by?
How do you sharpen it considering it has a secondary bevel? I’ve heard reprofiling tones down edge retention
stainless version should I get rid of the secondary bevel and go full scandi or not ?????
Literally just ordered this knife!!
We are going to enjoy our tea...
*Pot is ready...*boiling...
Martin, we forgot to put herbs in it!?!
Hahahaha.
+stuart coyne awesome Stuart! That would be cool but I'm not seeing mora doing something like that
Great backing music :) You guys rock!
Subscribed today looking for a new knife. I have sen about 5-6 videos today and loving your work. Mora Garberg is edging as the winner so far.
"If this would be my Mora, this would be my favorite Mora." -Me too!
Well done guys! Nice Test and Video! Very good performed knife presentation. I am already in love with the garberg :-)
thanks a lot mate!
Well the Mora knives are meant for extraneous use. They have lifetime guarantee. I know people who have used one for over 50 years.
How do you two rate the mora Bushcraft Survival black vs the Mora garberg?? I own the Mora bushcraft black snd i prefer that handle,.. and you?
Have you done a video on giving your knife a mirror polish
What would be better between morakniv garberg and the Fällkniven F1 original in terms of bushcraft capabilities, durability and general utility (like hiking, hunting, fishing, etc.) ?
Thanks for the review and vid, bro. Keep up the good work!
you are very welcome! thanks!
Dutch Bushcraft Knives dude you guys are the coolest y'all be having me cracking up keep up the dopeness .
thanks a thousand Joe!
After all that work it was still that sharp? No sharpening? I'm from Sweden but no fan of that brand cause I thought it's crap (based on price) I have to get it
Full scandi or did you keep the scandivex that it comes with?
I like your videos. great job. is always great to see you test the knives.
thanks a lot Joe!
What grit did you sharpen it on, I've sharpened mine on a 3000 and it will shave but its not hair popping sharp
+jesss uufdy we normally go to 3000 grit and strop with bark river black and white compound. It also depends on the stone how long you have to sharpen. We had a lot of practice. In the beginning we couldn't make them as sharp as we can now even on the same stones
Dutch Bushcraft Knives OK thanks ya, I actually just ordered the bark river compound from knives and tools and I have the naniwa super stones, and I'll keep practicing, love your content and keep it up
i love the song on the start, what it is called??
Well done guys on a very enjoyable presentation... its good to see good friends that are so familiar with each other... I even bought the knife.Shaun
thanks a lot Shaun!!
Like always I love your vids, I am big fan of your channel keep up the good work mates, cheers from Portugal 🇵🇹 😉👍💪😎
Great video! I just got one as well. Mine is not that sharp though. Doesn't shave hair and doesnt slice paper as good. Id like to learn how to sharpen this knife. Could you help?
We have a few videos on sharpening on the channel! th-cam.com/video/ofAI86yZmpE/w-d-xo.html
Theres some truly awesome knives out there but most seem to end up going for their Mora's as a first option day to day 👊
just tell your wife you got a good bargain on it haha
Didn’t know Liam Gallagher was into bushcraft...
A great video Just received mine Mora carberg I enjoy mine to very sharp great 👍 fire building specialey in the rain ☔ wow u rock 🎸 👋 from USA
7:13 What's in his hand?
Would you recommend the mora garberg over the lionsteel m4? If yes why? Price doesnt matter.
