Nothing says Saturday afternoon in the 80s like a Shaw Bros Kung Fu flick...... especially those with the Venom Mob..... absolute classics!!

@@gregorywilliams5606 I saw Mad Monkey Kung Fu on 42nd Street before I knew about Shawn Brothers. Fortunately it was playing with the movie Rappiin' (with Mario Van Peebles) which was what I had gone to see. Itt saved the day bc Rappin' was horrible!!!! Lol
Yes the absolute best movies in kung fu came from them.
Choreography was ahead of it's time
this is why i will always love the venom mob movies.their action chreography was in a class by itself.God bless each and every one of them for making my teenage years so enjoyable watching thier movies.
There are a lot of SB stars that I love, but the Venoms Mob will ALWAYS be my favorites.

Philip Kwok was my favorite of them all. I forget the name of the movie where they were all laborers and he worked in the kitchen and used to fight with a bowl and chop sticks...or whatever he picked up became a weapon. That movie was super dope too

Yeah this was on action theatre channel 21wtto in Birmingham al back in 1982. I really loved this movie. They don't make good movies like all the shaw bros. the British guys overdubbing like Ted Thomas , warren rooke, and Chris Hines and Ted Thomas really add to those movies

I like way they fight actors
A big ass sharp thick flag went right through the Spearman, yet he still managed to obliterate the whole Lu Feng's squad and scare the rest away before he died. Sheit, he still had will to go at the leader but the blood loss made him expire. Two or three extra minutes and Lu Feng would've been eating his own flag. The spearman is the ultimate kung fu badass.
i love the guards standing at attention in the back . if all the craziness and death doesnt get them into the action what exactly are their orders?
That Took A Lot Of Skill And Strength From The Venoms/Chinese Acrobats. Flags Add Resistance When Waving Them. They Don`t Normally Move With Such Ease.
Better than even "Five Deadly Venoms" in my opinion
Flag of Iron is a good movie but Venoms is the better movie in my opinion. Although I wish they would have had more fights, the fights they had were good and those styles they used were dope. Although he was a bad guy the snake style was my favorite. "The head is right the tail is left" love it.
@@Intimadation67 Wei Pai the Snake stole most spotlight in 5 venoms, maybe too much. Somehow he never got major roles later.

Of of my favorite Shaw brothers movies. They used to have this movie in full on here...where can I go to view the entire movie in english??? I have the 5 Deadly Venoms, The Crippled Avengers, The Kid with the Golden Arms and Ninja in a Deadly trap on dvd...They are favorite bunch that do movies together. I wish I could find all of their movies. If anyone knows where, please let me know! Thanks!

Thanks Tim! I remember in the 80's when I used to record all of these movies....so like 5 years ago when I found all on here full versions...I was in heaven...lol. Now I have The kid with golden arms, Crippled Avengers, 5 Deadly Venoms, 10 Tigers of kwantung on DVD and Shao Lin vs Lama, Ninja in a deadly trap, Spiritual Kung fu, The Fearless Hyena and The Snake and Crane arts of Shao Lin on vhs....oh and I also have Mad monkey Kung fu and the Avenging Eagles as well...lol. And of course The Fist of Fury and The Chinese Connection...lol

When i saw this. It was called the speerman of death. Just found out that its the same movie. It also had anouther title.
When I first saw it it was called Spearman of Death. I didn't find out the actual name of it (Flag of Iron) until years later.

There's 2 names. The original name is Flag of Iron but if you come across one called The Iron Flag It's the same movie.

I liked the edit myself I mean I saw it on the big screen and on DVD lots of times my only critique is the terrible english dub so unlike the care they took in The Five Deadly Venoms and other works where thier voices actually sounded like what they might sound like speaking english.

@Intimadation67 Why don't movie studios make these kind of movies anymore? These martial artists were legendary!! We used to go to the McVickers, United Artists, Chicago theater and the Woods theater on Sunday in Downtown Chicago and watch these all day long!!!
