DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Spotlight - Setup and Demonstration

- The DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise spotlight packs a punch considering it's super small and light weight. In this video, I put the spotlight to use as I search for a duffle bag in complete darkness. The DJI 4 Go app allows you to change the brightness of the spotlight and it even has safeguards by limiting the brightness to 50% while on the ground. I'm very impressed how bright the light was at 30 meters.

Thank you for doing an actual sensible real world usage of this light. Why in the world other reviewers are doing them during broad daylight, facing a shadowy spot on a building, I have no clue. Appreciate the effort you put into these Enterprise videos!

How does the light affect the battery life on the Enterprise? And what have you found to be the actual flight time battery life to be when compared to the advertised flight time of 31 minutes? Thanks.

Good assessments for the light and speaker.
For search and rescue, light and speaker should be together! After you find the person how it knows help is coming or how to give instructions at night ex. “Help is on the way, do this or that ex.”
I understand they have to work with weight and size but only one is not enough to do a good job.
What do you think about the lack of frying modes, which I think could be helpful.
I find out that if you turn on the airplane mode on your phone, the pilot app is stable otherwise it quite on you after just few minutes of flying.
DJI said the waypoint mode will be available, but when is the question.
What do you think about the lack again of drone control for adjusting the smoothness of the controls, something we have with the other mavic 2?
I think that dji striped to many features on this drone compared to the mavic 2 pro and zoom. That will be easy to add with just a firmware update.
What is your views about that?

Nice job, can this work on mavic 2 pro? How was the light set up to display on the RC?
this was great. Hopefully on the next generation they could put the spotlight on a gimbal too. For stabilization and directional control.

Excellent demonstration. My conclusion is that it would be difficult to find that bag if it were out a half mile or so. The lighted area seems quite limited.
Even at 30 M, I was able to see some details and make out some of the landscape. I think with some more flight, the pilot will be able to determine a usable height to maintain for proper visual. Thanks for watching

The spotlight is a lot brighter than I thought it would be. DJI really thought it out when they decided to go 50% brightness while on the ground. Do you think they should have built in a motor for pitch control of the spotlight or will it work well without that?
Motor pitch might be cool. Only thing is it would add more weight and possible malfunctioning.

No this is an enterprise mavic which has a dedicated port for the accessories
Looks about similar to level of my old 200 lumen surefire light.
Does this light only work on the enterprise version? Can you use this light on the regular Mavic 2 pro? Thanks!

I can see this being used in the future for hunting down suspects at night;either the drone would be carrying a taser alongside the spotlight or you would have another drone equipped with taser and really good collision avoidance following the spotlight to the suspect

It’s stays fixed at whatever angle you set it at during take off

It would be good if you could tilt the light down 90 degrees. Would be ideal for fawn rescue, because the camera tilt 90 degrees
Try not to lose it. There is no Find My Drone in the DJI Pilot app.
Does the app work good on Android
Not as good as ios

HOW MANY LUMENS IS IT!?!?
They should've made it so you could have the FAA Compliant Beacon AND the Spotlight working at the same time.
And perhaps speaker, beacon and spotlight togerher...
Get the Firehouse Technology strobe kit. You'll see it! The strobe kit also runs off its own battery so no drain off the Mavic battery which did go down quickly with the added light on.

Great video thanks! Only issue I see if you are flying at night and need the spot light, you are now flying illegally because you do not have a beacon on. DJI should make a dual mount so you can run the beacon and spot light at the same time.

Image quality at night with my M2E is absolutely garbage. Spotlight or not. This looks like an entirely different drone. I've tried every camera setting I know to no avail.
