How to set up and use Apple Pay

- A lot of people who own an iPhone or an Apple Watch still don't use Apple Pay. And that's a shame because it's faster and more secure than using a physical credit card at a register. Apple Pay is basically a digital wallet on your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch or Mac that lets you buy things in stores, via apps and on the web. You can even use it to send and receive money to and from friends and family with Messages.
In the video, we walk you through how to add credit and debit cards to Apple Pay, configure settings and use Apple Pay both in stores and online.

Apple Pay is really popular in London
A lot of people use it on the underground and you can use it in literally every shop including corner shops that accept contactless
In The Netherlands it just became a thing to use because all of our banks didn't support it until November 2019 haha, now i cant live without :D

Walmart would benefit from Apple Pay yet they don’t have it implemented
Johnny Morales I didn’t know that every since 4 months ago the Walmart’s I’ve been to now use it I’m starting to see a lot of places using it . I’ve even put gas with Apple Pay at the pump .

They don't support other mobile payments because they want you to use Walmart Pay.
I use Apple Pay anytime I see it's available because it gives everyone involved data on how many people use it. The less people using it the less support it will have. If more people use Apple and Android pay everywhere they can, the numbers will eventually force Walmart to accept it
I think you covered up to set it up but not how to use it at the store or restaurant, etc. Do I just hold my phone over the register screen. Do I open my camera, etc.

They need to add drivers license on Apple wallet instead of having a phone and wallet in your pocket , I have a X S Max and it’s really big I just wish i could have all cards including drivers license
Would be pointless to add a driver's license since retail locations are legally required to see a real physical ID in order to sells age-restricted products and you have to hand a police officer your license if you are pulled over.
@@GhostGrind a real physical ID is easier to fake, then having a real one scanned, because it would have to go through database to check, if it's even there.

I am an Apple Pay user whenever and wherever I can… iPhone and Apple Watch. Great!
Today I decided to preorder something from Apple using the Apple app. However, when I was going to check out and clicked to pay using Apple Pay, it prompted me to ADD A CARD! Huh???
So I put the card inside the frame but it doesn’t get recognized! Tried manually but it only accepts numerical characters. My card has a letter in the card number.
So to make a long story short, no purchase and still not sure why if I haven’t set to use it everywhere without problem why I can’t do it online. Any suggestions or ideas?
I tried to call Apple support but they couldn’t help me.

Stupid question: Do I have to manually open the wallet and select the card each time I want to pay via apple pay? Or does it pop up automatically when I put my phone close to the card-reader?
go to settings on apple pay and click on double click side button. turn it on and then press your power key twice and fast and it should pop up.

No. Only if you're using your Apple Watch to pay and it doesn't have cellular service.

At the check out of an online purchase, I used to get a pop up at the bottom of the screen with the last 4 digits of my credit cards. Once I chose the card, it would add credit card number and I only had to add the 3 digits of the back of the card. It doesn’t come anymore!! How to set it up so you can do an online purchase without getting the actual card each time? Thank you.

ok guys, I finally can use my apple pay but I forgot to tell u, it turns out that I just need to change my region. In some country, apple pay cannot be used so if u just moved to another country where apple pay is a common service used by residents, try to change your region in the settings first before proceeding the other steps

at 2:24 when you described what the wireless pay logo looks like to you I laughed because where I see that logo at it looks almost like a fish or as I often think the volume control icon. Also, I don't call it a wireless pay I call it "The Tappy" Since you got to tap it (Sometimes) on the reader thing at the store.

I set up a credit card, got a note it was ready to go but when I try sending money via text, it defaults to apply cash which has no money, so it says set up card (which has already been done) so when I try to set it up again, it says, you guessed it, its already set up. So, I don't know why it does not see my card when trying to pay via text.

The past three times I’ve gone to Starbucks I’ve tried using Apple Pay. It never reads my phone so I end up getting my card out. It’s frustrating.
