  • Tech billionaire Elon Musk has said his company Neuralink has successfully implanted a wireless brain chip in a human for the first time.
He said initial results detected promising neuron spikes or nerve impulses and the patient is recovering well.
Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, Mr Musk said Neuralink’s first product would be called Telepathy, and if successful, would enable "control of your phone or computer, and through them almost any device, just by thinking".
While Mr Musk's involvement raises the profile of Neuralink, a number of rival companies have already implanted similar devices.

Not really. When using a phone with your hands, your brain sends signals to your hands to make certain actions to control your phone. All the chip is doing is cutting out the middleman, which in this case is your hands, and is directly signaling the phone what to do. It is an extraordinary opportunity for people with paralysis, and will also be used to vastly improve the lives of people suffering from Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, schizophrenia and depression. On the other hand, we have no idea what the dangers of AI could impose on humanity, whereas the Neuralink chip is actually very simple, just delicate.

Revelation 13:16-He causeth all...to receive a mark in their right hand or in their forehead. That no one might buy or sell save he that hath the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Do not take this! Revelation in the Bible clearly warns against taking a trademark in your body. It is called The Mark of the Beast. It will used with the anti-christ's one world system even for tracking people! A very old book talks about what is in our society now. It is demonic and selling your soul. Repent and receive what Jesus did on the cross before it is too late. Jeaus loves you! He wants to reveal Himself to you. One way to prove it is you can ask God to speak to you using His Word, the Bible, and open it up, and right there on the page He will give you a message. That is how you can tell someone is speaking to you.

But is it? I’m sure the same was said about the first lung, heart, kidney transplants, etc, or the first test tube baby, the first brain surgery, or the use of chemotherapy and radiotherapy for cancer.
In the early days people were horrified and concerned about these ideas, but medical advancements are only made through trial and error, and by people (who feel they have nothing to lose and want a chance of a better quality of life) being willing to take part in such trials.
People with ‘locked in’ syndrome, for instance, are completely paralysed and cannot communicate through movement or speech, yet remain alive, completely conscious and with their intellectual and emotional abilities intact. They can only communicate through eye movements. Perhaps, for people in those situations, might see this invention as something which offers a sense of freedom, hope and a better quality of life, rather than as something disturbing.

It is okay controlling devices trough thinking. Problem is if and actually when someone would implement the opposite protocol - when devices would be able to carry out instructions to control people trough that interface. And as a software developer with a 20 years of experience, I can clearly say that when someone invents a new technology, others would look trough all possibilities of how to explore and use that technology for all sorts of ways. And as all things developed with pure intentions at heart, someone would be there to corrupt it sooner or later. It is not a question of an if, it is a simple question of a when. History is full of examples. And no - I am not into conspiracies, this is just the human nature. I am just taking a logical view at it. And no - we cannot ban this technology, as it is a next iteration of science inventions. We could just look at ways to avoid the bad consequences, developing rules and frameworks of ways to use it. Sort like the road rules for cars.

I've only seen the 1998 Sci-Fi movie Sphere and have not read the book. But the gist of the story is that at some time in the future an mysterious orb was found that could grant wishes. Except, we as humans interpret a wish, as only something positive we want to happen. But the mysterious orb just registeres thoughts, any thoughts. And does not know to make a distinction, if the thought is something we'd want or not. Causing it to not only to manifest the wishes we want, but also manifest our thoughts of fear or nightmares or monsters. In a nutshell, the orb only understood 'commands' but could not differentiate what command was wished for it to be executed or what command was unwanted. And we as humans cannot just switch off our minds to certain thoughts we don't want.

Now, having a personal computer or phone, dial someone you did not intend to really call, but just had that thought for a second, is not an issue, " Haha, sorry. I didn't mean to call you". But if you think of actions with more consequence, let's say a massive weapon. We'd probably be better off when there is a seperation between thoughts of the operator and actually performing the action to set it off. Or how about accidentally setting it off during dreaming, because they had a dream about setting it off.

Get ready! We are in the final moments of the end of days. The King is coming!
All the crazy things that are happening today in the world are a shadow of what is prophesied to occur prior to the return of Jesus.
The most horrifying of times are ahead known as the 7 years of Tribulation which is a period where God’s wrath is poured out upon the unbelieving inhabitants of the earth. It will end with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Read the book of Revelation in the Bible.
The New World Order aka The Great Reset aka Globalism is about to take over the whole world. The anti-Christ will soon be making his appearance under the guise of a ‘saviour’ during this time of utter chaos. Do not take the mark of the beast on your right hand or on your forehead or you will go to Hell, make no mistake about it! Choose Jesus today if you want to escape the horror of what is at hand.
Extreme weather, increased earthquake and volcanic activity, the unusual signs in the sun, stars and moon are not due to climate change as the mainstream media wants you to believe. These are signs from God warning of the soon return of Jesus. (Luke 21:25-28)
Good is evil, evil is good, great deception, widespread lawlessness, rumors of wars, famine as well as all the “peace” talks in the Middle East are other indications of the soon return of the Saviour.
To be saved you must be born again. **Admit that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour **Believe that Jesus died for your sins, was buried and 3 days later rose from the dead **Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and Saviour.
Repent! If you truly believe in Jesus, you will be saved. JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO SALVATION. (John 14:6) Time is short and the Rapture (removal of believers) can happen at any time. Don’t be left behind to experience what is about to happen!

Full immersion, and possibly time dilation, giving the user the illusion of living a longer than natural life. Also every obscene, petty, and materialistic desire being fulfilled for less power than a fully charged Fitbit. Trust I’m from the future where the corn is amazing.
