I know people dislike her new voice, but I think there is a reason to her having these voice changes that people may be skipping over. Mercedes Rose's voice gave off a more monotone, mysterious yet depression-ish voice. This was obviously meant to symbolize Rosalina's lament of her past (losing her mother) and her being alienated from other human life for a long time. The only things she ever really talked to were her Lumas or those star rabbits maybe. Her newer voices are more cheery and energetic to symbolize her becoming friends with Mario and the crew and her trying to move on from her past so she won't sound sad anymore. This kind of makes sense, if you think about it.

All 3 actresses are good for her , but the best is totally Mercedes Rose. Beautiful , smooth , deep and calm voice , it really suited like a ring to the finger for Rosalina. Kerri Kane was very good too , providing a younger yet distinct and sassy sound. Laura is fine , but her version is , currently , way too cheery and girly.

They change the voicing acting direction with a more girly voice and the also eliminated the echo which made her sound mystical. She was never sad, you only need to see mkwii voice clips, she was only more calm than other characters, no sad.
I liked her voice better in the Galaxy games. Way more calm and mystical, way more sublime. In the more present games she sounds a bit teenage-ish which does not fit to the image of her character set up by Galaxy.

Galaxy and Galaxy 2 were definitely not 2 of the more popular Mario games to the large majority, but they were definitely the most beautiful, charming, and nostalgic out of all of them. For me at least. I actually didn't get Galaxy 1 until, like, 2012 or so, I don't remember what year.

Honestly, I will always prefer Mercedes' voice over Kerri and Laura. I first saw Rosalina since I was very young, around 8 or 7 years old I believe (I'll be turning 16 soon), and since that moment I fell in love with her, and her voice played a great part in that. She sounded wonderful, mature, mystical, motherly, and overall pleasant to hear. Such traits in her voice were a big part of her character. When Kerri came in, I immediately noticed she was different, but didn't mind as she sounded similar. But Laura... she feels so out of character. No matter how much I try to, I just can't hear her voice and think, "That's Rosalina." She sounds too young, much like a teenager. It feels so out of place. Of course, I know there are people who love Laura's voice and prefer it over Mercedes and Kerri because she sounds more cheerful, but to me it feels like if Nintendo forgot who Rosalina was in the first place- a divine, mature and motherly figure with a tragic backstory- I'm adding that last part because of the inclusion of Baby Rosalina in MK8, it's as if they erased her past. I've always viewed Rosalina's more cheerful and fun-loving side in more recent games as a result of her being friends with Mario and Luigi (and being part of their crew) and getting over her lament past. Before the Mario Bros. came into Rosalina life, she was rather lonely and depressed due to the death of her mother and all and spent most of her life looking after the lumas, whom were her only company she had. After meeting the red and green capped heroes, that loneliness was gone and she's been arguably happier than she's ever been in her life.

I remember seeing her as a kid and becoming totally mesmerized by her, She became my favorite princess out of the whole trio. I was only 5 at the time and I must've forgotten her name so I simply called her "Princess Star". I have very fond memories from Nintendo in my childhood.

All the voices are similar but I noticed some of them lack the echo that she has in the first games, like Galaxy or Mario Kart wii, I think thats a characteristic of the voice that should be maintained, makes her sound otherworldly (also, don't take Luma away from her). Rosalina's current voice sounds like the first Daisy voice. Samantha Kelly's Peach voice imitates the second voice of Daisy from Mario Party 3-5. Lucky for Daisy, she has her own voice distinguishing her awesome tough-woman personality.

I've always viewed Rosalina's more cheerful and fun-loving side in more recent games as a result of her being friends with Mario and Luigi (and being part of their crew) and getting over her lament past. Before the Mario Bros. came into Rosalina life, she was rather lonely and depressed due to the death of her mother and all and spent most of her life looking after the lumas, whom were her only company she had. After meeting the red and green capped heroes, that loneliness was gone and she's been arguably happier than she's ever been in her life.

I'd like to think her voice changed for an actual reason in the lore.
Her old voice being more monotone may have symbolized her deep sadness from losing her mother and being alienated from other human life in space for a long time. Her newer voices are more cheery and energetic to symbolize her moving on from loss and actually finding friends in characters like Mario, Luigi, and Peach.
But that's just my thinking.

I remember seeing her as a kid and becoming totally mesmerized by her, She became my favorite princess out of the whole trio. I was only 5 at the time and I must've forgotten her name so I simply called her "Princess Star". I have very fond memories from Nintendo in my childhood.

I call Rosalina the original Elsa or the future blue fairy because I forget her name some times 😂
All the voices are similar but I noticed some of them lack the echo that she has in the first games, like Galaxy or Mario Kart wii, I think thats a characteristic of the voice that should be maintained, makes her sound otherworldly (also, don't take Luma away from her).
BUT, in the galaxy games she sounds more mature, and that's something I really liked about her.

Rosalina's current voice sounds like the first Daisy voice. Samantha Kelly's Peach voice imitates the second voice of Daisy from Mario Party 3-5. Lucky for Daisy, she has her own voice distinguishing her awesome tough-woman personality.
