I'll never forget that day, some classic lessons learnt. No.1: always bring a rope for those unforeseen mandatory vertical rockwalls. No.2: try not to end up facing backward with your pack on while sliding down a blind water shute, if you do make sure you didnt go last so your mate grab you at the last second and dislodge you while your being pinned underwater. I'll never forget that look on Brett's face while he was pinned. To this day i' m amazed how you got me up that ultra sketchy wall bruv lol. I didn't feel quite as brave when we watched 40kg Irina get it done lol. Crazy times bra. Your content just keeps getting better.

Haha so you noticed that scene, nice! I always think of you and that day too when I'm in situations like that. That final climb out was terrifying! Made it though 🔥💯🏞️🍻

Another little beauty of a video showcasing some of the fun and games involved with fishing that catchment. That little bit of rope is a game changer for such adventures 🤣 learnt that one in a very similar manner down Fiordland ways

Too true it's not nice to be taking unnecessary risks. Keep adventuring but stay safe yeti steps

You too bro. Was stoked to see a dead mustelid. I did the pre and post drop rat monitoring around there. Before the drop 47/50 tracking cards has multiple prints. Post drop was 1/50. I'm not a fan of 1080 but it's hard to argue with it's effect.
I'm stoked the work I do contributes towards people's enjoyment of what is a very magical place. Your Stoke keeps up our Stoke.

Now, that's a much nicer place to fish than the canal safari parks!

@@nzadventurer I had the pleasure of visiting the Mackenzie Country weekly for almost 20 years! Now retired... settling for fishing only 3 times a week is tough!

Lovely vid. Thanks heaps! wonder if that first fish was spooked by the false cast. Would it be better to only cast over the fish on the last movement?
