Even though I am a school librarian PreK to 5, I watch your videos each week. Sometimes, I come across ideas from you. Mostly, I watch because I love seeing your smiling and joyful face full of love for your job or mini job. I do not know what to call what you do. However, it brightens my day. I am grateful to you.
Hi Susan! I'm in MA too. All teachers deserve a credit. Covid chaos, commotion, confusion, etc. Conferencing with students is great. Sometimes teacher to student, sometimes whole class, sometimes student to student. Also, I love go around story. We tell a story. Each student gets to say a few sentences. Fun and really gets students in the mood. Finally, there is the onion method. Onions have layers. As reader reads story, another layer is exposed. A trip to New York City for example. You can ask students why they were going, who went, how did they get there, Amtrak? You can have them discuss the trip. All the best. You are an awesome teacher and are doing all teachers proud.
Hi Susan . Shoud second grade students write paragraphs on their own? And how well is it ? Please answer me because I am a new teacher that works alone not in a school . I give online sessions on zoom . Just tell me if second grade students should learn how to write different types of paragraphs on their own ?
