I think this is fabulous! Look at those outfits. I would love to see the girls returning to something similar. The men? Not so much. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 So lovely to hear the late, great Bobbi Irvine speaking too. She was a Goddess! Thanks for sharing. 😘
Rather than Come Dancing, this looks like the Professional Invitation Team Match from the Blackpool Dance Festival. The commentary from the late, great Bobbie Irvine, about Donnie & Gaynor, who "should do well on Wednesday", the night of the Pro Latin, also makes it appear to be a historic record of a Blackpool team match. Fantastic!!
i cant believe this show started in 1949, thats so long long long ago and lasted for amazing 49 years, lol the judges must have been over 80 by the last season
The guy in the red costume with the feathers on the sleeves is an extremely talented metrosexual dancer and trash collector from Long Island, NY. He developed the muscles in his arms and legs from garbage can tipping.
I’d love the BBC to bring back this form of Come Dancing again. For want of a better word the “serious” version of Come Dancing , without the celebrity participants to keep the non dancing audience members interested. It might not get the viewing figures of the toned down celebrity version but I’m sure there must be significant enough interest in the professional competition from the Strictly Come Dancing 🕺 fan base to make it a ratings winner . I’m not sure how it would compare with the old Come Dancing 💃 show on television 📺 hosted by Angela Rippon among others?
Sorry but I guess you're confused. In this championship of around 1984 I did not see the Hiltons in this competition. Donnie Burns and Gaynor Fairweather are there though. And for your info: we see the Myhrengens from Norway, Ruud Vermeij (who trained Louis van Amstel and Julie Freyer) and Debbie Fletcher (at the end of this vid. And of course David Sycamore and Denise Weavers
There should be a all winners show on the bbc from all the celebrity winners that eon the final show on strictly all over the world Uk vs usa vs australia etc
It’s very interesting to see how its actually supposed to be done. These contests particularly the male dancers are so much more stylised and effeminate for want of a better word, which is actually incredibly masculine.
im sorry but what the number 12 guy is wearing at 3:14 is just Homersexual !!!!! But i think the number 15 couple in the yellow at 1:40 are the best abd have the coolest moves and outfit.!!!

Bring it back, not the garbage we have to out up with now, by the people for the people
Could not been made for tv as there is too much talking.

This is what PROFESSIONAL dance looks like. Strictly is so amateurish
No Offence to all the come dancing fans, but i think it was a good thing that this show got cut, strictly come dancing is so much better than this! xx
