25:32 lmfao i forgot to blur the names of the folders there , please excuse the names of some of the folders : sometimes i get frustrated while modding and so i make mod folders with insults in their names while testing xddd this was in no way an insult to the viewer , sorry about that x(
Thanks for making this tutorial. Also a faster way of rigging models if their builds are the same, is to transfer weights from the TF2 model to the custom one. Idk how to quickly explain the process of transferring weights but I'm sure you could easily find a tutorial. (idk how to explain in general)
This doesn't appear to work on the MvM bots, but I was expecting the process to be even more hellish than making mods for first person viewmodel that I already did with crowbar. Thanksies for the tutorial. :3
If the custom model has 4 fingers, how do you match the hand?(btw the tutorial is realy good)EDİT:i realy dont know how to use blender, how do you equip the brush like tool in edit mode? I am stuck with the window select tool(the one in ebject mode)
if the model has 4 fingers , match the fingers from the thumb and index onwards (example : if it has 3 fingers and a thumb , then leave the pinky groups empty) to change to the brush in edit mode , press "W" and you'll cycle between many selecting methods
Before I get into this. This is just for personal use. But if a model says "No porting" since I'm not really too well informed on this information. It would be a model used personally by myself and not uploaded anywhere. Meaning like only I would use it. No uploading the files to gamebanana or anything at all. Is that still a red light or do I get the green light as long as I use it just for personal use just to make for example. Turn the Engineer into Mickey Mouse. Since last thing I want is legal troubles on a personal project just because I made it so Goofy can 360 headshot Mickey in my games and start laughing at him.
@usernamecipher All good. I'm assume if nobody else has access to it and it's just for a private project. The owner might be okay with it as long as they don't post it without permission.

Your video immediately grabbed my attention despite never seeing you before.
People really care about the person before the information of the video?

i tried transferring weights before , but it always needed manual intervention in my case so i just ended up doin' things manually at one point :p
Good job

It should work for any model , are you sure that the model that you exported overwrote the original decompiled tf2 model?
