Thank you for being aware of gov weather manipulation. I caught that. The wink of knowledge is appreciated.
I have waited 7 yrs. Finally now my Seed grown Ruby red grapefruit trees are blooming.
cool hopefully you get something good.
Thanks, this gives me hope. My lemon tree from seed is 12 -13 yrs old and I'm still waiting....
Thank you so much for this video. I have a large citrus tree in a container that flowers but has never held any fruit. After watching your video, I realized that I am not watering enough.
Always great content and yes, I am a subscriber, and have been for a while!
Thank you for sharing, being new to desert gardening, you're a wealth of information.
Your video has important reasons for citrus growing and I like your sections. Thanks! I have subscribed👍
Great video, very informative...SMILE!!!
I did all the six tips and you I added fertilizer did my citrus start producing fruit and i had the citrus for several years.
Thank you! ❤
Thank you☺️
Please do a pruning video..a better video than most out there.
It was the hardest thing waiting a year (after putting in the ground) for my black Sapote to give fruit, so you can imagine my excitement at my first little fruit finally starting to grow. Same with my Barbados cherry. Thanks for the reminder to be patient
I figured out the issue with my lemon tree. It was particularly under watered, but also, it was planted below the root crown. I did the hard thing and dug it up and replanted it for the long haul.
your tree wasn't in the ground long enough to suffer from being planted "too deep". By digging it up, you lost all the work you put into it for the past few years. Now you gotta start over... All it needed was proper watering and time.
@QCTropicals I'm not to worried about starting over like I said it's for the long term health of the tree. That was one of three trees that I first planted on my property when I wasn't aware of what a root crown even was.
My mom lives in NY She planted a red orange seed and she took care of the plant, i visited from Florida 😂 she made me take it to planted in my yard so I did over 6 years ago but no flowers yet. 😢 I know that from seeds is a not what she ate. She always asks about her tree. The tree is doing great but of course it will take few more years 😢
thats a cool story!
I have a lime tree with 2 trees coming out of the ground. But only one is producing limes. Do I cut out the one that is not producing so the other one can grow?
I had spider mites bad last season I got rid of them my orange tangerine and lemon lost all of their leaves they are coming back I had tangerines last year hopefully I’ll get flowers this summer they are in pots also
Spider mites LOVE young lemon leaves too I hate those bastards
@@kurks001 I used neem oil
My lime tree was getting flowers but no fruit, and I fertilized it back in February, so I think it is reason one lack of water and reason five the weather, since I had three weeks worth of high winds in the spring in the 20 to 50 mph range and it knocked off most of the flowers. So I really don’t know what to do. 😢
why are my small fruits turning yellow and falling off?
What if they fruited but the fruit doesn't seem to be ripening?
What if my tree is grafted(home Depot) . It's in the sun and in the ground . I even brew tea . Still no fruit 🍓
Mother Nature wins.
I bought a key lime tree from Costco 3 weeks ago good size tall ,leaves are green it has 3.5 gallon pot the tree is getting taller but has not flowers I have it where it gets sun but still no flowers I don't know what is the right size pot I need for the lime tree would you let me know I really appreciate your help, thank you.
A 10 or 15 gallon would be good for it since it's still small. I would suggest you add fertilizer to help it bloom. Good look 🙏🏻
Yes little or no fruits in the acorching sun now
I love the comment about the government can too, we are seeing a lot of there over here. What is the best time to transplant citrus into the ground?
when night temperatures are warm and expected to stay that way for at least next 3 months.
No fruit fr-you. Good info dude
This video just made me super 😢sad smh 🤦🏻♀️ I just got a few trees and they look so bad . I think it well be five+ years before I see anything 🫣and I thought I was saving them 😪
I take it you have seedlings or rootstock growing?
@@qctropicals no bananas 🍌and 🍋🍇🍑🍊🫐got them at Home Depot.. and they are pretty big but now they look so sad .. what is a woman to do ??
Hello hello my lemon tree has been more than 15 years and I live in Orange County California! For 15 years I water them regularly and there has been no issue until last month. The leaves dried out, and no flowers anymore 😢 What I did was….there were more than 300 overriped lemons, so I literally picked them all up. Do you think this might stressed out my lemon tree? I felt so bad and don’t know what to do. Please help me
picking fruits early won't hurt the tree. My guess your tree went dry.
I was hoping you would mention soil ph😢 my 70 limes, 5 years old, all cuttings from my several 25 year old heavily fruiting trees are not flowering after months of fertilising. I think the almost 8 ph of my soil could be the issuem
buddy my ph is like 8.2 alkaline and citrus grows just fine. Florida Ph is neutral to acidic in most areas and it's the biggest producer of citrus in the U.S. PH is irrelevant as citrus will grow in both. Reason why I didn't even mention it. If your citrus is not fruiting, it's most likely one of the 6 reasons stated in the video. No amount of fertilizer will fix that.
I have a seedling Nagami Kumquat that is around 4-5 years old. It has grown nicely but still no flowers and therefore no fruit. Is it possible it still needs more years to mature?
is it in a pot or in the ground?
@@qctropicals in the ground from when we bought it
So leaf curl and massive amounts of blooms is from not getting enough water? I noticed a few of the new lemons on my Meyer lemon tree are yellow instead of Green,do they start out that way or is there a water or food deficiency? Thanks
how old is your lemon tree?
@@qctropicals I just got it Monday at Home Depot, I don't know how old it is but it is about 2' tall and a little over 3' wide in a pot and does not appear to be grafted, it has some little bit older fruit on it that is not yellow. Thanks
@@lorenbush8876 you just got your tree. Breathe in and out then relax. Water when dry and let it grow buddy. All citrus start green then turn whatever color they're supposed to as they ripen. Don't add anything to the soil nor spray anything on it.
@@qctropicals I now have a few of the leaves turning yellow and falling off it started yesterday, does that mean it needs some fertilizer? I have some granular 10-20-10 lawn fertilizer and some granular 13-13-13 I got for trees, the only time released fertilizer I have is 15-30-15, is the time released the best to use, I also have some comfrey tea I made last summer from the Russian Bocking 14 comfrey I had, the heat we had last year killed all of it.
@@lorenbush8876 leaves don't turn yellow and fall off over night due to lack of fertilizer. By adding fertilizer all you'll be doing is stressing the tree even more. I suggest you watch some of my other citrus videos.
How do I send a picture of my citrus tree?
you can get contact info on the description of the video. Check out my 911 videos for full details.
I recently planted some grafted lime an lemons in containers but the soul in it came from is fuc haevy clay so I had to wash it out an replant over why do they do those shit
So are you saying the lemon tree I grew from seed will never fruit? It's 12 yrs old now and I'm still waiting.....
12 years it should've fruited by now.
Do you sell citrus trees?
locally yes. Hopefully I'll be certified by next year to ship them out of state.
I am in the Payson Arizona area and am looking for a trifolate cold hardy dwarf root stock citrus trees for growing in our area. (Or something like it..) wanting kumquat manderian and lemon.
I don’t think it is any of these, as I think I checked these…..pretty sure my lemon tree just doesn’t like me.
But all of the so called experts say citrus don’t like wet feet
I'm not an expert, but I know how to grow plants.
Watering rate is dependent on the carrying capacity of the soil.
