    It was the hardest thing waiting a year (after putting in the ground) for my black Sapote to give fruit, so you can imagine my excitement at my first little fruit finally starting to grow. Same with my Barbados cherry. Thanks for the reminder to be patient

    I figured out the issue with my lemon tree. It was particularly under watered, but also, it was planted below the root crown. I did the hard thing and dug it up and replanted it for the long haul.

    • @qctropicals
      @qctropicals  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      your tree wasn't in the ground long enough to suffer from being planted "too deep". By digging it up, you lost all the work you put into it for the past few years. Now you gotta start over... All it needed was proper watering and time.

    • @charlessingletaryiii331
      @charlessingletaryiii331 ปีที่แล้ว

      @QCTropicals I'm not to worried about starting over like I said it's for the long term health of the tree. That was one of three trees that I first planted on my property when I wasn't aware of what a root crown even was.

    My lime tree was getting flowers but no fruit, and I fertilized it back in February, so I think it is reason one lack of water and reason five the weather, since I had three weeks worth of high winds in the spring in the 20 to 50 mph range and it knocked off most of the flowers. So I really don’t know what to do. 😢

    Hello hello my lemon tree has been more than 15 years and I live in Orange County California! For 15 years I water them regularly and there has been no issue until last month. The leaves dried out, and no flowers anymore 😢 What I did was….there were more than 300 overriped lemons, so I literally picked them all up. Do you think this might stressed out my lemon tree? I felt so bad and don’t know what to do. Please help me

    • @qctropicals

      picking fruits early won't hurt the tree. My guess your tree went dry.

    I was hoping you would mention soil ph😢 my 70 limes, 5 years old, all cuttings from my several 25 year old heavily fruiting trees are not flowering after months of fertilising. I think the almost 8 ph of my soil could be the issuem

    • @qctropicals
      @qctropicals  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      buddy my ph is like 8.2 alkaline and citrus grows just fine. Florida Ph is neutral to acidic in most areas and it's the biggest producer of citrus in the U.S. PH is irrelevant as citrus will grow in both. Reason why I didn't even mention it. If your citrus is not fruiting, it's most likely one of the 6 reasons stated in the video. No amount of fertilizer will fix that.

      @@lorenbush8876 you just got your tree. Breathe in and out then relax. Water when dry and let it grow buddy. All citrus start green then turn whatever color they're supposed to as they ripen. Don't add anything to the soil nor spray anything on it.
