    I hoped that this video would suggest a way to use virtual machines without that problem, because I mainly came back to windows because of WSL. I'm on latest version of windows 11 beta branch and the issue is still there. The main release is tomorrow so I should hope that fixes it.

    My HP Envy X360 Convertible won't boot and gets stuck on a black screen with a spinning circle and a working mouse pointer but nothing else. I set the current date in the bios but every time I try to boot, it sets it to a date in the year 7967! This started happening after I replaced the main battery, and in this model there is no cmos battery so the bios lost power during battery removal. I tried loading default values, tried every combination of legacy boot enabled and disabled and secure boot enabled and disabled. Automatic repair for startup issues is not able to fix the problem. The reset the PC option also fails about 50% into it. Any ideas? Thanks

    This is an unacceptable solution. Most users who use virtualization on Windows don't do it for a joke and they seriously are in need of wsl/ms virtualization ecosystem.

    yes, but what if i want to have the VM platform enabled, this allows windows to work yes, but not resolve the issue

      Yeah. Unfortunately only a Windows Update will be able to fix it properly. Now if only Microsoft listened.

    i want to use WSL if you have fix without disabling virtual machine platfrom?

      There's no fix like that unfortunately.
      You'll have to either wait until Windows releases an update without the bug or revert back to the stable build.

    Did you adjusted correct date and correct time in the BIOS . If keep changing means then change CMOS battery in motherboard

      That's what the issue LOOKS like. But it's the virtual machines (mostly Hyper-V) causing it.
      I had the same issue and after disabling Hyper-V and WSL, everything is back to normal.

    I installed the official release and it is happening to me, but I need WSL can't disable it! Did you find a better solution? seems like not quite lot of people are using wsl on Windows 11 and I am afraid that it will take long for Microsoft to release a fix.

    • @BredzPro
      @BredzPro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately there's no other solution at the moment. It all depends on Mocrosoft to fix it.
