I respect him. Even more so, because I don't have to watch a toddler rage quit every day on tv anymore. Had Trump not come first, I may have just largely ignored Biden and not thought about him much. However, after having seen that trainwreck of the previous administration, I appreciate the calm and security.
TBH honest there is a few things that are fundamental that has to be in place in order for the systemic change needed. Those are according to me universal healthcare, universal education and the removal of private interests in the criminal justice system.
Any candidate who is not advocating for those issues is not progressive enough in my book. There are many progressive actions to be taken in many areas but too often decisions made are just of the kind that it pleases people on the left but they actually don’t bring the real change needed.
I also think that progressives should focus on the presented core issues first. Take gun laws for example. I am 100% for gun reform but the damage done by gun laws in America is nothing compared to the healthcare system. Any politician from the centre to the right would love to discuss gun reform because it is a dealbreaker for a lot of people in certain states. I am not saying that progressives should abandon their stance on certain issues but I am saying they should not push secondary issues at the cost of the main ones.
With this being said. The Biden administration might be progressive if you compare it with other administrations but that doesn’t really mean anything when the bar is that low. Can you name which groundbreaking progressive decisions that has been made that will affect America for generations to come? Can you point to any decisions that will lead to lasting needed change?

I'm glad Stephen didnt let her not answering that question go. I feel like she probably isnt being given a lot to do, or she could certainly be doing more. Even her second answer kind of dodged the question to an extent.
I've never heard a VP actually say what they do. lol I think that answer was the stock, but I do know from someone in a former VP staff, they do a ton of stuff, it just never gets talked about. It kind of undervalues the job in my opinion.
Only Clinton seemed to say what his VP was doing. He put Gore in charge of looking into old government programs to see if they were still needed. Gore got rid of several. Bee keeping subsidy was one that saved 14 million a year.

There were no “first tier” US or NATO weapons in Ukraine before Putin ordered the Russian invasion. Even today the only equipment even close to first tier is the Himars rocket launcher, a whopping 20 of them. And all equipped with the shortest range missile made for the platform, certainly not the top tier missile for the system.

I was a social worker in California at that time. It was a very positive change and successful program.
