@10:25 You're hearing sandhill cranes. I live about 2 hrs south of here, and in the spring time they cover our fields. People come from all over to take pictures of them
That pink car is a 56 Chrysler Windsor, and I used to have that 66 Plymouth fury 2 the light blue one. I haven’t been there to b&k for awhile, they’ve definitely added more to the yard since I’ve been there. I need to go there again and see what I can find.
That's awesome, sometimes I rewatch these videos to remember what parts I still need to get. I need that spare tire carrier off that slick grill and stuff off that 2 door 48 pontiac
Didn't even know about this yard and I'm 45 minutes away! Reminds me of the parts crawls I used to make with my father and brother when I was a teenager, we'd spend more time checking out what was there than actually removing parts. Need to make a visit, thanks!
I'm pretty excited you found our channel and sub'd, that's awesome!!!! I go to junkyards when the necessity arises, which is often, but there's more to the channel, like all our project cars and what not, hope you enjoy!!
The Pontiac with the small ish newer steering column and steering wheel 84-91 Chevy s10 el that was s10's base model truck i know because ive owned two of them
If you get a chance check out stutesmans used cars and garage in Casey IL not far from terre haute on 70 its my family's scrapyard, garage, and towing buisness that's been family owned and operated for 60 years they have about 8,000 cars on 80 acres stuff as old as the 40s and 50s up to modern.
rust is inevitable up there! as it for me in the nc mtns! yes we get salted roads down here in the high country! in fact where i live is the highest point east of the mississippi if you can find decent parts at a junkyard ur doing great! thanks for the video!
@@route40rust im sure you have! as a 40 year antique/ muscle car restorer. i got tired of rusted junk! so we sought out west coast cars. yes the time to do it is tough but in the end u get a better vehicle!
I'm disabled but if I could find a 69 2 door Cadillac that has a motor that turns over and a good transmission and a 69 Ford truck 250 or 69 chevy truck heavy half. Motor has to turn an transmission 70/74 2 door torino coupe and the 70/74 torino wagon or chevy wagon. 65/74 impala 2 door. But I no I won't get my dream car's or trucks but it's in God's hands because disability doesn't pay rent utilities and food. But I would be happy if I could just get the 3 cars I had from 15 to 18 74 maverick 75 granada and 79/80 Ford fox body 2 door zephyr I loved that car and the 4 door version all were v8's I believe c4 transmission's?

Don't they blame all the bigfoot and UFO sightings on the sandhill crane?
@cryptidsofthecorn4749
They taste great too.
I lived right off of 18 and 69. Been to B&K a few times. Great yard.

I don't know why we struggled with that car, must have been the cold 😆😆😆. So some fun information, Chrysler called that pink color "desert rose"
That Studebaker pickup would be a cool piece to have,,I like your 2 fords trucks. I stumbled on your channel and like it
Glad you stumbled onto the channel, hope you stick around!
B&k is my go-to for a quick part to get back on the road. definitely have a good inventory!
I like it when you walk by some of the dentside trucks... the wife and I try to remember what parts we took off of them..
That's awesome, sometimes I rewatch these videos to remember what parts I still need to get. I need that spare tire carrier off that slick grill and stuff off that 2 door 48 pontiac

Definitely check it out, it's a really fun yard to explore
Heck I'm only 15 min up the road and I haven't been there in many years.
I always used to put a couple beers in my tool box.
The birds you heard are sand hill cranes
Always loved going there and getting to pet the racoons they had in the office! We used to go to houghs and b&k when i was a kid
Houghs is pretty good. McAfee and Barnetts is also fairly close. The guys at Houghs are pretty cool
@route40rust i forgot about barnets. Last time i was there, i was getting a set of doors for a 86 chavette. Haha
Sweet pink car id love for project. I came bt accidentally but I sub and loved

Grew up going to this junkyard. Definitely have memories walking around in 100 degree and 10 degree weather
What's worse, snow covered junkyards or 100 degrees summer junkyards??
Those birds you hear are sandhill cranes. Look way up an you'll see them. Pretty birds.
The Olds Early 73-77 and early Cadillac quadrajet carb are the ones you want, they are usually 350,403,455, and the caddys 372,425 big blocks..
Was I at least correct about the vent tube being slanted?
Those were Sandhill Cranes flying overhead.
Wonder what motor is in the travelall, because I'm looking for a ih345 v8 for gm square body original parts big block project truck idea ive got
I believe it does. Also, I have a 345 block and various parts for one. I think I sold the heads and 4v intake off it
He is like a big kid got to play with everything
🤣🤣🤣🤣
This place is relatively close by. See some useful parts for the crosley
The Pontiac with the small ish newer steering column and steering wheel 84-91 Chevy s10 el that was s10's base model truck i know because ive owned two of them
I restored a model of a 55 Desoto in a similar color scheme. I would send an image, but honestly don't know how on this format.
Find us on Facebook and send me a picture! Love to see that 55
Did they happen to have a round body Isuzu Hombre (s10 look alike) there? If so, I'll have to drive up there.
Can't say, I didn't spend a lot of time in the late model side. Give them a call they could tell ya, good folks

That sounds amazing, could I come and shoot some videos?

B&K Auto in Warren, Indiana
@route40rust ahh ok, im in south bend
The pink car is a Chrysler Winsor. It's not pink, it's Coral.
We ended up looking up the color code, she's "desert rose" 🤣
Looks like a Austin-Healey
The pink and cream car i believe is a 53-55 Chrysler Windsor
56
Where is this place located in Indiana?
Warren Indiana
@route40rust thanks

Yup!

I've gotten really good at welding and plating frames up here!

I am sorrry, but that sucked balls.😊
Yep.
Sandhill cranes!
You're the second one to chime in on those! I'm an idiot 🤣🤣🤣
@ good eating New York strip of the bird world!
The Lincoln Capri looks like a 54. It’s the 4 door version of the one used in the movie Moonshine Highway. Great movie!
Nice! Awesome info, I'll have to check out that movie
@ I think you’ll like it. Has cousin Eddie in it. He’s a bad cop.

That’s a pretty specific list, but you never know what you might find.
…Chrysler or a DeSoto… not a Studebaker/ Pachard
Ended up a 56 Chrysler windsor
56 Chrysler all day
I blame the cold on my mental lapse.....
Studebaker champion
The one I was calling a starlite ?
🎉starlight coupe, yes!
If with the bullet nose frontclip, that whole thing should be worth dragging out of there.
Never let you waste my time again
Bless your heart
