Very nice George I use k edge for my wahoo and quad lock for my other phone adaptors in the car house etc I keep my phone in my jersey but remember Peak Design from my photography days great brand and have used a few of there photography products in the past they are very good quality 👍👍🚴🏻🚴♀️ Pete
Agree, Peak Design make very innovative photography gear, mounts in particular which I use. Good to see another player in the cycling phone mount space. Thanks for the intro George!
My Go Pro camera attachment is on the stem top cap as that is the best placement since it works for phones, cameras, gps and they sit further back so it’s easier to see. I take my chest cam go pro mount and this way can get front and chest level angles without even getting off the bike.
@@SeeYouUpTheRoad Indeed the stem mount has a top cap that replaces your original one. On top of this new top cap is the 3 sections that the screw finger attached goes through. The bolt to secure the top cap is in the middle of this top cap camera mount, The top cap mount is made out of aluminum so its strong not flimsy.
Looks very cool for folks to stay connected and to possibly film while riding. My initial thought might be if phone is out in the sun for a period of time if the phone may over heat. Many times my iPhone will give me a shutdown notice that it is too hot while sitting in the warm sunshine for say 30 minutes. But for early morning rides it sounds like a cool idea.
Yes I wonder what those riders do. I’ve seen phones on handlebars for years so I guess it’s fine. We did a trial run yesterday. The phone was basically in the pocket the majority of the time and only on the when filming. The phone is perpendicular to the ground when filming so it’s not getting direct sunlight on the screen. Thanks for watching
I'm curious if people who ride with their smartphone mounted outfront (rather than pocketed) are more prone to bike accidents. Looks like a solid product
@@SeeYouUpTheRoad exactly. I read that nearly 75% of fatal bike accidents in the US are while on ebikes. Inexperienced riders going too fast in traffic. I wonder if those riders were also watching TikTok on their smartphones 🙄
@@WowRixter I remember one of George's earlier videos regarding ebikes...with a regular bike, you need to "earn your speed" - meaning, by the time you can actually go fast, you've become a decent bicyclist. Ebikes let you skip ahead and let riders who aren't as experienced go really fast. Don't get me wrong - ebikes are great for mobility and getting around. IMO new riders need to understand that at 20mph+, it starts becoming more like a motorcycle than a bicycle with regard to what can go wrong.
Riding with one hand on the bars while the other hand is goofing off with a camera sounds like a practice that will eventually bring great bodily harm and regrettable results. 🤨

Interesting I hadn't thought of a stem mount!

I suspect airflow alleviates this problem in many conditions.
@@redkeyspoke right! Parked at a coffee shop would be worst case scenario. Riding shouldn’t be too bad.

the kids here have helmets either on but not strapped or no helmet at all 😢
