I still can't believe how close my remix was to the original! I made it from scratch without listening to the official theme..... UPDATE: *AGAIN*. Without listening to the official theme *again*. Not that I've never heard the theme before, that's stupid. I cannot believe I need to explain myself so some of you can understand it a little bit more.
I guess thats what hearing her theme in Every. Single. Generation. does to you.
Especially when you keep losing to her and hear it again and again.
Except she didn't appear in gen 6?
Well it is the best theme in pokemon (don't @ me) and it's one that everyone should have at least heard a few times, considering how hard she was

lucario doesnt really lose anything. its already super fragile, so making it hit faster and harder only makes it more likely to survive via one shotting its prey

Luke Connors Not really pointless, dragon types still have diverse movepulls to counter-act with its weakness. Psychic were one of the best types in Gen 1, hell even better than Dragon types. In Gen 2 they added Dark and Steel types to balance out Psychic types, either by resisting or being immune to that type. In short- more of less trying to add types that will balance out the franchise.

Dragon dance is probably the best way to make his mega workable, but I'm honestly not sure if he could break OU with it. Definitely by ubers viable though.
Class A, Rank 7; TH-cam Hero: Keyboard Warrior How does an absurd attack w/ Mega Garchomp (probs 170) and Dragon Dance not only making every hit an OHKO, but also adding to Mega Garchomp’s only below average stat (Speed) not sound broken to you? Plus, if you’re running Regular Chomp, you can add the combo of Rough Skin/Rocky Helmet so if you DO hit it with a Priority move, your HP would go down quite a bit. Or, for extra kicker, you can toss in a Life Orb and not only get more base Speed, but also add extra injury with Chomp’s base 130 attack.
It’d also give another reason to not use Flygon.
Mostly because the Tapus dominate OU right now. I don't think even banded weavile can reliably OHKO mega chomp with ice shard, but getting set up will still be annoying, and plenty of scarfed mons can revenge kill garchomp without too much trouble. Considering the Tapus also naturally counter tyranitar and to a lesser extent hipowdon and you have a really scary, but probably still manageable threat.
Could you imagine if game freak thought
“Hey, this girl was the toughest champion that people loved so much, how about we buff her by giving her pokemon items along with mega or z moves so that she becomes so hard that our fans would go nuts and become more inlove with the game because of the challenge sense.”
I would love Cynthia to be even harder after they made pokemon so much more easier, making one extremely hard obstacle will put people in their seats
I think there's a low chance of that happening since Game Freak made the games easier for kids to play with (I think I heard it from an official statement abt ORAS or smth? I can't remember it clearly)

Platinum may still be arguably harder than USUM, but between Ultra Necrozma AND Team RR, you cannot tell me honestly that those are “easy”. Besides, GameFreak knows that a Gen 4 remake isn’t about new fans, it’s about the pre-existing fans.

Forget about the berry it could be substituted with a better item and swap spiritomb out for lucario/Roserade if facing a fairy
The rest of the team layout is terrifyingly effective
Roserade is a special attacker so I would give it sludge bomb but overall a very terrifying team

Cesar Vera true, but this is just in case there will be mega evolutions. However, it is most likely they permanently scrapped that feature for all future games like they did with seasons, contests, and the battle frontier.

I was so hyped about the fact that Cynthia will use a Mega Garchomp in the Diamond&Pearl Remakes but now that Mega-Evolution are removed in the 8th gen alias Sword&Shield my hopes got destroyed...
Richard W. It’s not confirmed that mega evolution is fully gone. Dynamaxing looks like it will be just Galar. I wouldn’t have your hopes destroyed just yet.
It’s regional based so Galar has Dynamaxing, Alola has Z moves, and in the Alternate Pokémon Dimension the other regions from before have megas so it’s pretty much confirm that Cynthia will have a mega
@@alastorthedemonslayer4257 OR/AS were the only Alternate Pokémon Dimensions with Megas, so it's way too early to say it's confirmed. They could very well just do the same thing they did with Megas in OR/AS do with Dynamaxing in the D/P remakes.
If it's true that the Gen 4 remakes will play by Gen 8 rules, then good news is you won't have to worry about a Mega Garchomp. It does mean, however, that you have to constantly be on your guard, because she could bust out a Dynamax whenever the fuck she wants.

@Siper actually, why has gamefreak never allowed Ai to switch? Like, i know it's hard to use an algorythm for switching on every trainer but at least gym leaders and the league should use some kind of algorythm to let them switch in a bad matchup. If camilla would be able to switch, that'd be a nightmare and awesone at the same time.

This really takes me back, Cynthia was probably the most challenging opponents I ever faced, and it's because of that I'm into her so much. It was most certainly a battle to remember. Too bad I can't face her again because my damn Pearl game got busted up dammit!

Honestly this remix slaps, probably one of the only good cynthia remixes I've heard, and that includes Gamefreak's remasters in later generations. Very very few remixes capture the feeling of the original Cynthia theme the way this one does.

Mega Lucario would be more terrifying. Mega Chomp is easy to outspeed and annihilate with ice

Cinthia wasn't the Hardest for me it was leveling up by spamming the league (no intentions on winning) only so that my pokemon get at least lvl 50. After that didn't struggle at all
Was impressed by the Bulk and attack power of my pokemon although they were still underlevel
I mean Cynthia's Garchomp was lvl 77 wtf
The only one that just was annoying but not hard was Lucian

She's probably the strongest champion (except for Red I guess) and in my opinion the best. Her garchomp kicks everything's ass, her Togekiss and Milotic were a beautiful pain to deal with and I appreciate it. She has literally everything good going for her and deserves something beyond the title of champion.
I think she's stronger than Red, her Pokemon are all fully evolved and she has a pseudo legendary
@@xyzzy-dv6te The thing is, in game cannon Red's pokemon are all about level 80/90. Plus 2 of his pokemon can one shot her garchomp (lapras and Blastoise with ice attacks). But honestly her team construction is by miles better than Red's for real.
Wouldn't it be terrible if all remakes from now on are in the Let's Go style? And we have to wait through gen 2 and 3 remakes again?and abilities or hold items don't exist
LGPE were great apart from the catching mechanics
@@dazza2350 nah, it's too bland imo. It's good for Casual Play, but it becomes to boring. No item strats, abilities are gone, and many moves were gone in let's go. For competetive, it was purely just stats and moves with power. That was literally it. They could have gaven dragonite extreme speed, have a focus sash, use Draco Metoer turn one, then sweep eith Outrage and Extreme speed. But no, they had to take away that.
@@dazza2350 Not really, they have probably the worst replayability in the entire franchise. I would rather replay the original Red and Blue than replay LGPE - they are very much a one and done experience.
She may be an intimidating champion but I've beaten her before and I will gladly do it again.
