I make my own liquid and bar Castille soap I make my own shea butter/castor oil soap. I also make my own plain tallow soap for one of my daughters. I am currently in the research phase of making my own sulfur soap. I also make Castille & Himalayan sea salt soap. Goatmilk & Tallow soap. Pine tar & tallow soap. i don't use any dyes and only sometimes use essential oils. Everything in our house is made by me from our laundry soap to our dish washing bar soap to the lotion and deodorants. I have MCAS & am allergic to most things. I need a way to control what was going on my body & once I realized Dr. Bronner's wasn't actually Castille soap I decided I needed to make my own. Castille soap is made from 100% olive oil. But Dr. Bronner's uses coconut oil in their recipe, making that a Bastille soap. They also use other things. I just felt like if they would like to me about the type of soap they actually make, then they can lie about anything else.
I never use essential oils as are toxic. Plain castille soap is the best. I make my own herbal skin salves, creams and soap with tallow, shea butter and natural coco butter, all chemical free, including my laundry soap.
too much water can be toxic. some essential oils are beneficial in proper quantities and some are irritating. if you say its chemical free then all you are doing is showing us you are completely uneducated as everything in products are chemicals. water, salt, etc ARE CHEMICALS. you want to avoid harsh, irritating or otherwise harmful chemicals and use good healthy healing etc chemicals.
I make soap as a hobby but i have a lot of customers with skin problems that use my activated charcoal soap. I have about 20 different types of soap i make but my basic recipe is the same. 2/3 olive oil to 1/3 coconut oil. I add all kinds of ingredients like orange zest, all the different cosmetic clays, activated charcoal, coconut flour, oatmeal, and tons more. I started making soap about 20 years ago when i read the ingredients on the soap i was using. Which i thought was good. It had like 50 ingredients and many have been known to cause cancer. I did a ton of research and found healthy alternatives to add to basic real soap. Real soap is so much better than the cancer causing garbage you get in the stores. More people need to learn how to make it. Its easy and fun.
Out of all the different soap labels I have read and researched, none of them had cancer causing ingredients. Not one. I’m very curious about the soaps and ingredients you are referring to.

Thanks for this video. The Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap sounds promising. I've been dealing with a lot of redness on my skin these last few years & have found I'm getting increasingly sensitive & dry skin, so ALL natural ingredients have become more important to me than ever before.
Thanks so much for the helpfull video Dr. Browns castile rose soap had amazing results for me after I washed up I literally felt a layer of dirt fall off me, and unlike other soaps I've tried even special washing waters etc. it didn't gave me any side effects just pure natural clean feeling.
The rose scent made me nearly faint every time I used it to clean the tub. I emailed them, here’s the ingredient list of the rose scent…this is just the scent! I’ve been using cereve but switched over to Aveno because the cereve only came in a smaller amount off Amazon, my skin is clear now from eczema, if I feel any itchy spots I use clobetasol or cortisone
I keep reading about pure castile soaps causing a burning sensation down in the nether regions / lady parts - any feedback from the ladies? I loved Dr Bronner's peppermint soap back in the 70s but I really diluted it. Thx!
Just buy Aleppo soap, you can get it in a bar or liquid. It's never caused itchiness down there for muself or mu daughter and cleared up her oiliness and acne.
I haven’t experienced that and I used it for years but you don’t want to use it internally at all just externally. The pH of the under carriage in women can be thrown off pretty easily, or so I’ve heard. I don’t use a lot of it. Each person will have a different experience I’m sure. I luv dr bronzers (all of them) and currently am using goat milk soap, lotion and salve to heal eczema/psoriasis, am happy with it thus far (few months in.)
I’m gonna try the black african soap you recommended one to two times a week. I can’t use literally anything on my skin: moisturizer, cleansers, masks, hard water. The only thing I can use, without worsening the condition of my face, is distilled water in a spray bottle but still my skin is dry and flaky.
Try taking a gut microbiome test. Anything off with your gut will show up in your health, including your skin. I found out I was deficient in lactobacillus, a good bacteria, and after taking the supplements my skin improved so much and is less itchy and dry.
yes exactly. the peppermint hasn't worked well for me, its also one that hasn't worked well for my clients. If it works for you that's awesome. It smells great. If you are using it and thinks its working but your not making progress with your eczema or psoriasis you might switch it up though :)
Do you think Dr Bronners has too high of a PH level, though? I think skin PH is around 5.5 and Dr Bronners soap is around 7-8 PH. My skin has been extremely dry despite the fact its not winter yet and I moisturize right out of the shower
I go by the golden rule... what are the results?? for me, my skin has been eczema / psoriasis free for over a decade. Ive used bronners almost daily during this time. I also use Dead Sea warehouse skin polish daily on my face and scalp. My skin each year looks better and better. Almost 44 years old and my skin health is better than when I was 15. So, it for sure works for me. It works well for many of my clients. Will it work well for you??? I couldn't tell you. Only you can find that out by testing, being honest with your results, then iterating appropriately!
@@RobStuart very true. I think I should switch back to dove soap for sensitive skin for 2 months to experiment if it improves my skin. It's been dry and I got more back/shoulder acne than usual since switching to Dr Bronners. I initially just used diluted unscented liquid as a body wash but after that I tried a Dr Bronners citrus bar soap. I could always switch back to Dr Bronners in 2 months if the Dove soap doesn't show skin improvement
@@ScottJohnson-cf8fk bronners citrus, lavender, peppermint and all other flavors besides unscented and almond don't work for me and most of my clients. What about pine tar? I cleared my eczema using this everyday and applying Aquaphor right after I shower. I also cleared a psoriasis plaque after going carnivore 4 months.
That was the soap that I realized I could not tolerate Olive OIl on my skin. Olive OIl is one of my worst triggers for my skin. Almost as bad as poison ivy reactions that takes two weeks to heal.

Hi Rob thanks for this! Do you recommend taking baths every day for severe dermatitis flare up? I usually put in some epsom salt/baking soda with apple cider vinegar and sunflower oil
Dr Bronners is a fabulous soap. It is not soy free because the tocopherol are from a soy source. Ivory soap is a good choice for sensitive skin. Does not contain stearates that most have to harden them.

I purchased African Black Soap (I love it) when I had a bad case of Eczema years ago. I went on a carnivore diet and did tapping, which was very instrumental in healing it quickly. This year I had a very stressful year and my diet totally changed to grabbing whatever I had in the house. Christmas time was very bad since my family was here and wanted to bake all our old wonderful German & Swedish cookies and breads. So I over indulged. The eczema came back and has been raging ever since, then spread to my face (eyes, mouth, cheeks, neck) which became very swollen, so I look like you do when you put a nylon stocking over your face (sort of Mongoloid with no definition of the eyes and very tight skin). My question is HOW DO YOU TELL IF IT IS ECZEMA OR ROSACEA ON THE FACE? I've changed my diet but still to early to see any changes in the swelling and inflammation especially in my face. Great video, thanks! Living at high altitude in Colorado, I have very dry skin. I will try the Nose to Tail soap.
The black african soap has palm kernal oil...? I wouldn't eat that so are we sure we want that on our skin? I know you don't eat it either so that kind of goes against what you said in the earlier part of the video about what we put on our skin.
Correct there is so many prebiotic on a market in UK but you don't know if you have right one. I was looking also for skinesa in UK but could not find it.
i cant use NOOOOOO African black soap with brown and black color i tried Many and especially dudu osun soap, OH GOSH NO WAY, I break out in sore skin and allergy to that african black soap.
I have psoriasis on my head, but it's not much and I use Dr. Bronner and it helps me and it cleans my dread also. Two years ago I was heald all my psoriasis. I had on my elbow and little on my head. But I didn't have joint pain, nail problems. Only on my elbow. Now it comes again. What I have to do brother Rob.
Stop cheese, milk products, rice, refined carbs, completely eleminate sugar from diet, go for whole wheat bread and pasta, eat lots of fruits and nuts(eat only Almonds and Pistachios) don't eat nuts that secrete oil like walnut and ground nuts or any other food that naturally secrete lot of oil, avoid deep fried junk food or Chinese food with lots of unhealthy sauce, eat 150 grams of any goat or chicken meat (avoid pork) daily, eat healthy green and red Vegitable, eat red fruits a lot like water melon, dragon fruit, strawberry, and more takes shower regularly and finally avoid using skin care products that has oils in it 🙌 u see results soo I too had it now it's in control remember psoriasis don't have any cure its flairs up mostly in winters and colds and calms down in hot summers also most importantly avoid processed and packaged food from stores just eat fresh, clean and home cooked 👌😊 I super sure that you will see results also use shampoo that has coal tar or salicylic acid in it 2x or 1x per week and wola you will see the magic 😎 but remember follow every thing that I said
Using a non toxic soap will be very helpful. Of course one also has to dress the issue from the inside out with diet, mindfulness practices and detox techniques
Hi Rob, I was just curious as I haven't watched all of your videos.... are. you taking any oral or biologic medications ? Is your progress all natural or in combination with medical treatments? Was just curious.

Did you have any luck with any products?
The black african soap has palm kernal oil...? I wouldn't eat that so are we sure we want that on our skin? I know you don't eat it either so that kind of goes against what you said in the earlier part of the video about what we put on our skin.
Exactly
What about selsun blue?

@@BigPhilly15 which soap is there and where do I find that?

I don't really dilute it, I just use very small amounts.

Using a non toxic soap will be very helpful. Of course one also has to dress the issue from the inside out with diet, mindfulness practices and detox techniques
How about zote soap
Thanks so much
Hi Rob, I was just curious as I haven't watched all of your videos.... are. you taking any oral or biologic medications ?
Is your progress all natural or in combination with medical treatments? Was just curious.
all natural for me
@@RobStuart that's excellent. Will definitely be looking into your recommendations. I've suffered with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis about 10 years now and ready to get better!
What i can use for dermatitis?
Nablus leaves my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. I was skeptical about it but I have bad skin through genetics and after the 1st use I could tell the difference from my Irish spring soap. Leaves no smell behind. Definitely try it. Yes you do have to work it harder. I have dermatitis behind my ears...
Great vid! What are your thoughts on pine tar soap? I've had great success w it as a facial soap and even use it for shaving.
I have not used or tried it yet. what are the ingredients?
