I wouldn't really say that was Roman's best promo. The crowd were already booing him and he didn't have to do anything for the reaction, nor did he have to say anything the reaction- they were chanting for Undertaker soon as the show started and booed Roman before he even appeared. I would say the best promo should go to the performer actually cutting a promo, with their performance and crowd reaction making it the best - Paul Heyman's the Raw After Brock ended the streak an example of this). But I do agree that they could have turned Roman heel that night.
When Cena beat Bray Wyatt. Cena was booed from the jump and Bray did an excellent job selling the "Bring the monster out of cena" schtick. But of course gotta let the hero win 😒

Honestly, I think Brock beating the streak was the best case scenario for wwe at the time. It gave Brock a lot of heat and the momentum needed to win the title and keep it off t.v. while they were developing other wrestlers. Honestly, there wasn't any other guys that could've legitimately beat the streak because the fans would've turned on them. But, I do agree wwe should've kept undertaker off of their programming. Undertaker has nothing left to prove or do in sports entertainment. He shouldve just road off into the sunset.

There was a harness under Boss Man's ring gear, and a cable woven into the noose that attached to the harness. That supported all his weight so that the noose wasn't actually holding anything up. If you watch that segment again, as Boss Man is lifted into the air and rotates away from the camera, you can see the cable that sticks out of the loop of the noose and goes under the back of his vest.

Yeah no actually, Brock became a genuine attraction when he ended the streak, and he gave Roman and Seth all the star power they needed, which an older Taker can't really give. Y'all just sad because you love taker and his streak and though it's ending would be more special
