I've been looking for a more detailed video of the 1/2 day Inca Trail hike to determine whether or not I think we can do it, and there's just not much out there. This video was very helpful. Thank you!
Great video! My husband and I are doing the 2-day hike in April and this was very helpful to see what the terrain will be like. We are excited to make the trip!
Thank you so much for the very delicate video! I want to experience this 1 day trail with National Geographic, but couldn’t find a lot of detailed information. Your video really helps a lot!
Stunning! Please make a short video on what you packed in your back pack, how you purchased the train tickets and arranged hotel stays and costs and did your dad experience any knee pain. How long did your dad train for this hike? Thank you for sharing. Yes your right most videos don't give the surrounding area justice.
Everything is organized by the tour company. They book everything. You'll only have to pack one change of clothes for the one overnight stay in Aguas Calientes. My dad did not have any knee pain and didn't do a ton of training before but he made it.
Hey there! Loved the vídeo. I’m going with my mom (that has the same age than you father back then). Could you give more details on how your father felt doing the trail? Did he prepared for the trail or he is used to trails/exercises? Sorry for the questions but kind of worried if it’s too hard
Hi, I am afraid of heights - as in narrow trail with a steep drop. I can do broad trails with elevation as long as it is not next to a steep drop. Is the 1 day hike doable? I am trying to decide if I should just take the train (even though it means missing the experience!!)
Hi I'm hoping to go to MP very soon and I really want to do the 1 day hike that you have shown in the video rather than just the bus trip to MP. My question is I'm not the best with height's....can someone who has done the 1 day hike tell me how scary the trail is on a scale of 1 to 10 .Any comments would be really appreciated. Thanks Simon
Hey. What do we have to train mostly on? We are going to the same trail in 2 weeks. Doing some stair master and cardio. What do you recommend for workout?

Exactly right! Glad it was helpful and hope you have a blast out there. It's something you'll never forget!
It's so beautiful.
You got that right!
Enjoyed your video, we like that your Dad did as we are older and are doing it with our son later this year. Thanks 👍👍
Have fun out there!
I watched already quite a few vids on this hike - so far I like yours the best! Keep it up, really good buddy.
Really appreciate it!

Thank for making this video! Great info

I'm glad it did so! Hope you can do it one day!

Absolutely Beautiful
Even more beautiful in person!

Great video, thanks. For people who are a bit afraid of heights / empty space, how narrow are the paths where there are vertical drops please?

Great video Drew. Can you tell me on the second day when you visited Machu Picchu, which Circuit did this tour company use? Or does it vary?
I think it varies depending on the company you choose.
Thank you very much for the video! Do you think hiking boots are mandatory? Or would trekking sneakers work?
I think either would work
Great info thanks...I'm planning on doing it and same age your dad! You do this in Oct/Nov?
September
Can’t you go to the full ruins from the Inca trail itself? Why did you need to take the bus?
Great video btw.
Great video…… how long was the hike? Im somewhat afraid of heights is there much time on the trail where you can fall off the mountain?
Depends on how fast you go. We did it in approximately 6-7 hours. Don't rush it!

I'd say a 2-3

Yeah that would probably suffice. Just make sure you are used to walking a lot.
is it so hard? I. am not sure if I can do it
How long did it take you to walk the trail?
4-5 hours
