229’s are tough Because Sig is often changing the thickness of the slide. It’s been this way for years. One of the main reasons bolster makers don’t support the 229’. We never know what we are getting. With all the 229 variants.
Damn my Heart aches... I just saw Keanon Gilliams' YT Video where he has the 226 Tacops with the X-Change Slide Kit and a Romeo 1 Pro mounted atop of it and I gotta say it looks pretty sweet. I hope I can find a P226 Tacops or a P227 Tactical in .45acp. I absolutely love Sig's hammer fired pistols.
These can easily be used by lefties with everything beside the slide release. That is done with right hand on slide. I love the Sig P220, P239, P229, and P226.
I wish I hadn't sold my P226. Very accurate and comes with a huge cool factor. Plus MecGar makes flush fit 18 round magazines now so you can upgrade the stock capacity without increasing the footprint.
I had a 226 in 357 Sig. The lack of ammo availability and the price is what made me sell it. I just came across a P226 Tacops in 9mm and am absolutely gonna buy it.
@@scotwfree I know I could have. I am kinda weird when it comes to guns. They gotta feel perfect to me on a personal level. I could never make myself like the P226. Have owned 3, sold them all. I primarily run HK now. But even then, it took me a while to find the ones I really like.
@@reebrooks9696 Could I ask what you paid for yours. I’m looking at one currently- used, very good condition, $800. I’ve done some research online and anywhere from 800-850 seems to be the norm? Thanks!
I started with gun empty. Know the condition of your weapon at all times. But i see your point. Its you tube after all. For me. If a gun is not in a holster its an empty gun. Hard rule in the shop outside of YT no gun out of a holster unless used for photo posting has a mag in it.
I bought one 6 yrs ago in 40 cal. 200 rounds through it since. Awesome ass gun.
I love my TacOps. I later bought the X Change Kit which is another slide that has the optic attached, also a threaded barrel. Great with a suppressor.
May you live for a thousand years
@@jonthompson8807 Thank you! 👍 You also!
It did I have multiple 226 pistols. So I swap them.
Definitely one of my favorite pistols for sure. Too bad they're discontinued.
Same. So many people ask me
I want to sell it. Thanks for the comment
yeah it be great to see some holsters for the p229 legion rxp that would be awesome.

I love the DA first pull. It's so accurate.

New to your channel. I enjoyed this video. I am looking footrests to seeing more videos from this channel
Welcome. And thank you for the compliment.

I Love That Pistol 🔥🔥🔥👌💪👍💯
Do a Grayguns ELS straight trigger upgrade. Reduces the DA pull by 1/3 and makes this firearm perfection.

@@Catgat37you know you could've just put a 9mm barrel and recoil spring in it right?

I have 2 226 one scorpion 9m with that same trigger and one 226 in 40 witch was a police trade in I got used German model both shoot great and smooth
Does the 226 40 TacOps S&W have the SRT trigger? I found one used that’s in that caliber
I thought the Tac-Ops came with a threaded barrel? I know mine did. Maybe it was an option?
I have multiple 226 pistols. So swap the slides for holster use. And dedicated SUPRESSOR pistols.
What’s your thoughts on the P226 pro cut is that worth the buy rather then the p226 legion?
2:00 wish you would have checked chamber before trigger pull. Too many will watch and think they can do the same. Shocked because you know your stuff.

I feel differently. I’m glad he didn’t edit out the mistake, owned it, corrected it, and moved forward.
I was very lucky wen I got my 226 tacops in 9mm!!!
Hey RDR Gear, any chance you will have the straight drop plates back in stock any time soon? I'm dying to get one asap!
Does this pistol shared the same holster with mk25?
@@sterno200 Safariland style holster yes. Kydex edc holster a no.
What did it cost
I found it used. Think I paid 750.00 with 4 mags
Not optic ready..so..not exactly 'tactical'.. probably a great pistol though..
You do realize the 226 was the pistol of NSW for almost a decade. Optics ready does not make anything tactical, IMO.
