-30 C is -22F 😁 and that's stinkin' cold lol! -40F/C is actually the record low for my state (Kansas) and the record high is 121F, 49C.
It makes me sad you don't always have access for Wild Cherry Pepsi! It is so good! Maybe the slurpies help you acclimate for the cold? 😂I love me some ice cream in the winter, don't care how cold it is outside it makes everything better.

I didn't know it would get that cold in Kansas! I was there once (in the fall I think) and boy! Is that a beautiful state! We drove through and coming from farm country up here, we appreciated the fields down there. :)
Good morning Freezer Meals. That looks delicious. If you're tired of eating slow cooking Crock Pot meals, you might want to try one of my favorite alternative recipes. It's called a "Pen, Pasture nd Patch," combo: A braised 12 oz. pork belly, with a Teriyaki marinade, served next to a braised lamb shank. Bon apetit!

It is so funny you said it gets to -40c. It rarely gets to 40'R here during winter and our summers get up to 110'F or higher. Today it was 108'
Yikes! 108°! I feel like that would be hard to breath in. lol. To be fair, -40° is also hard to breath in sometimes too. Our heat wave has broken a bit now, but our weather has been unstable this week and we are having massive thunderstorms and large hail. It's very humid out, which is unusual for where we live. The weather definitely keeps things interesting!

Question - for chicken breasts - your recipes usually have a range. Fox example in the Easy chicken cacciatore t is 3-5 boneless skinless chicken breasts. About how may lbs would it be for that recipe? I buy by the lb and would like to be able to convert..... Thanks
Hi Amy - great question! We buy our chicken by the number of recipes we're doing. I typically pick up a tray of costco chicken which will make two meals, therefore I need two trays per chicken recipe (we make four of each recipe). Similarly, the smaller grocery store trays have 4-5 chicken breasts on them and that's enough to feed our families one meal. We simplified it by giving the number of chicken breasts so each person can decide for themselves how much will feed a their family. They can add a few more if the breasts seem small. You can add a few more if you have a family of 6 or 7, instead of a family of four, or less if it's two adults and two really little kids. That's a really long answer to say it's about 2 lbs. of chicken. lol. I have done mega meal sessions in the past and bought chicken by the pound, but then we were opening bags and cutting chunks of chicken off to make up some missing chicken at the end. With a fewer amount of recipes, buying in pounds would be much easier. If you're tackling 5-8 recipes at the time, go ahead an assume 2 lbs. of chicken will be perfect for the average four-person family. :)
Could you use already frozen chicken when you make these recipes and just add extra ingredients and then return to freezer. Sorry hope that makes sense. Thanks Cher x
You're fine to use already frozen chicken as long as you don't allow it to thaw before freezing it again.
