instant pot for 15 mins and 15-20 mins in air fryer or skin on split in half, instant pot for 12 mins then place them flesh side down in hot olive oil and fry until crisp using whole unpeeled garlic , butter and basting- G. Ramsay recipe
Everything I've cooked in this unit has come out great th-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB ! Everything tastes so good. Some of the recipes I've changed a little to improve the taste. For instance, for french fries which call for no oil, I spray them with olive oil and season them with salt and pepper. They come out great! It makes the best toast I have ever eaten. The recipe I use calls for lightly buttering both sides of the bread. It calls for cooking at 400 degrees for 5 minutes on one side and then 2 minutes on the other side. This time has a lot to do with the kind of bread you are using...so keep an eye on it. Also, the fans in this Ninja are a lot stronger than other air fryers. So lay a metal spoon or something on the bread to keep it from flying around. It's a little extra work to use your Ninja as a toaster but it is worth it!
I took a guess and put my potato in the air fryer at 400* and set the time for 45 minutes. I didn't weigh it first, but I will next time. I just came to youtube to see how off I was on temp and time. I was pleased to know I did ok, and I greatly appreciate you leaving this video up. I know it's an older on, but it sure helped me feel confident that I know what I am doing. I love the temperature check for doneness.
This is by far the best baked potato I have had in my life!!! Thank you for the super easy recipe. My wife went with the standard butter and salt when they were done frying. I went with sour cream, shredded cheddar and salt. They were both so fluffy and amazing! Highly recommend this. Our potatoes were 9 Oz so I did 50 minutes at 400 degrees. Just perfect!
Great video details. If an hour wait time makes you second guess your dinner plan, I've found you can microwave a single potato for 2 minutes, three potatoes for six minutes. THEN move onto oil and salt. Airfry for 15 minutes. This takes them to 140° . Turn then bake another 13 - 15 minutes and you've just saved 30 minutes! Size matters so if not at 207° yet, they'll continue to cook on their own by heat already inside. BTW, I have found no need to preheat my Ninja.
Kitchen scale? Heck I don't even have a bathroom. Fortunately I saw this video first and used the grocery store scale. THANK YOU for this video. Sweet potatoes, heck ya!!!!
I microwaved mine for 6 mins, cut in half but not all the way, added butter and salt on the inside put in container with lid or cover with a plate, Air Fry for 5 minutes at 400F 😋
Thanks, my parents started making us cook too, I was hoping to do something fast and easy to get started with homework. They turned out really good too.
I'll keep that in mind! You can always find the metric measurements on my website (detoxinista.com), by clicking the "metric" button in the recipe card.
russet is always my last choice for a baked potato or roasted potatoes. sooo dry on the inside. yellow or yukon gold is sooooo much better imo!! going to try the baked potatoes in the air fryer for sureb
Thank you. All the details, efficiently delivered! THAT'S how to help people. I am going to try this right now, confident that the taters will come out perfectly (Breville air fryer).
I have a basket style air fryer and at your temperature and time, I'm thinking, my potato skin would be charcoal. Make my smoke alarms go off. I never peel a potato unless I'm making mashed/creamed potatoes. I have microwaved potatoes many times in the past with very good results but never in an air fryer.
It works the other way as well. I have seen recipes in celsius and have to figure out what it is in fahrenheit. It would be best if the presenters gave both.
I can’t believe this is as low viewed and low commented. She tells you exactly the weight and temp within a minute and a half. She has been under served on a cooking channel! Irony comments… irony… 😢
i enjoy my air fryer, but when doing whole wings, not party wings there is a light mist of grease that covers surfaces, anyone experienced this or have a hack for it, i usually sit it on the stove under the hood exhaust fan ,it helps little
I use a air fryer liner to keep the mess down and almost never half to clean my basket...they look like a large coffee filter but are made out a heat able material..hope this helps
potato cooked over 200 degrees releases acrylamide so I will try it but keep the temp at 200 not 400. Acrylamide is a carcinogenic substance that is found in some food.
You all act like you have to stand over the potatoe the entire hour. Throw the damn thing in the oven and do something else or prepthe rest of the meal. Its not that hard to figure out
To whoever is reading this Jesus loves you and he’s coming soon. All you need to do to be saved is believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins was buried and came back to life on the 3d day. Confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and you’ll be saved! I hope to see you in the clouds! God bless
Before I had a kitchen scale, I just guessed a general cook time and would sometimes have to add 15 to 30 more minutes, depending on the size of the potato. The food scale and thermometer just make the cooking process a little more fool-proof.
No it isn't, in a conventional oven it will take an hour to cook properly. Microwave baked potatoes are rubbish. Note the word "baked" buddy. I doubt you ever made one because mommy did it for you. Lol.
Yes, the air fryer really can't cook the inside of a potato any faster than the oven... but the outside does become crispier thanks to the air circulation.
Can you please edit and specify in your video that you cannot use extra-virgin olive oil, because my 14-year-old watched your video and followed all your instructions and I came home from work and the house was full of smoke and I couldn’t imagine there was a video telling him to bake with olive oil. I didn’t know there was a difference between extra-virgin olive oil and regular Olive Oil, I thought you just shouldn’t bake with any of them because of the low burning point, but apparently you can bake with regular olive oil. can you please specify this in your video. do not use extra virgin olive oil. Most people don’t know the difference. 🙏 my Italian mother has been cooking for 50 years and she did not know the difference she just thought one was cheaper than the other.😅
I was thinking the same thing, but who wants to heat up a whole oven when you can do it in your air fryer? Sometimes if I’m only making a couple I use my toaster oven which still takes a good hour on the convection setting and I don’t feel as comfortable, not babysitting the toaster oven at such high temperatures. Just put two potatoes in my air fryer and going to go take a shower. Hope they turn out as good as they look in her video.
omgoodness mo one needs to measure so precisly… how did our ancestors do it😂 oooooh never pierce towards your palm , ahhh ouchies!! This pains me…😳💀 Other than that Terrific!😅
Wtf. No way I’m weighing a potato I just want to eat on a weekday night. It’s a potato it’s not that deep. And then checking with a THERMOMETER? It’s a potato or an air fryer!
I hope you'll enjoy these easy Air Fryer Baked Potatoes! What would you like to see me cook in the Air Fryer next?
Which potato is best ? I don’t like very dry inside. I’m from UK

I live in Mexico and have an abundance, but I mash up avocado in my potato...so creamy and yummy!
This was really helpful. My salt and olive oil are amazing on it. I add a bit of garlic powder along with butter and salt on the inside. So good!
It helps cut cooking time to microwave them for a minute or two before air frying.

I will follow your instructions and hope for a delicious baked potato. Excellent video.
When I saw the black bean soup I was sold. I am now subscribed,
Happy to have you here!
Wouldn't it be quicker to microwave the potatoes for 10 minutes then crisp them up in the air fryer for another 15 minutes then check all crispy.
Microwave for 5 mins then air fry for 12-15 mins
Same results half the time
Put them in microwave first then airfryer

No need to turn over.
What is that that you are storing your potatoes in?

Thank you for doing this video. As a point of clarification, do you use the BAKE MODE or AIR FRY MODE when setting up the Air Fryer to cook a potato ?
I use the air fryer setting!
@@DetoxinistaRecipes Thanks so much. I did just that and this easy recipe is delicious when done. Thanks so much for putting up this video.
Thanks for telling us about the weight to time ratio, helps a lot. Again, Thank You.😇

If I cut a 16 oz potato into two 8 oz halves, can I bake for 45 min or less?
Do I have the potato IN the air fryer during preheating?
great quality vids. for some reason not that many views
Fluffy but crispy

cut potatoe in half place bacon and tab of butter in it wrap it up in tin foil and bake it for 45-1 hr until done...grill oven or air fryer..
excellent very helpful
start using celsius also, i am tired of going to an online coverter to see how much is 400º F
It works the other way as well. I have seen recipes in celsius and have to figure out what it is in fahrenheit. It would be best if the presenters gave both.
Try the baked potato topped with butter chicken sauce.
That sounds delicious!
Life's too short to weigh a potato.

Microwave for 10 mins, then airfry for 20 mins. Quicker by half
An hour?? That negates the purpose of cooking in an Air fryer. I'm doing one potatoe I think I will do it for 20 mins. Max. Lol
A scale really !!!! That's over the top lady
I didn't think Olive oil was rated to for temps that high
Instead of a fork, it's much much easier to pierce the potatos using those knobs you stab into the sides of corn cobs, if you have them
Putting olive oil on at the beginning will make the skins tough, put the oil on in the last 10 minutes of cooking.
so the same time as a oven.
The skin does not stay crispy. Am I doing something wrong. Or any one else noticed that?
You all act like you have to stand over the potatoe the entire hour. Throw the damn thing in the oven and do something else or prepthe rest of the meal. Its not that hard to figure out

potato in microwave 7 to 8 min.

I’ve tried both ways. The microwave makes crappy baked potatoes . The air fryer is much better.
Thanks for video but is still bit annoying that baked potatoes take the same length of time as they do in an oven.
