This is is one of the examples of parents in animated movies done right. In the film Pongo and Perdita don't wait at Roger's house and lose hope, they literally journey through London no matter the danger of the winter storm and help the puppies! They are honestly one of the best parents in animated films for me.

Fun fact, this is not only a book adaptation but also a book adaptation that the author herself actually enjoyed. Dode Smith was very happy how the movie turned out, especially with Cruella D’Vil, and she even got the animation cell that credits her book.

She also told writer Bill Peet that his screenplay improved on her book.

I think the book’s better, tbh.

I love 101 dalmatians i owned it on VHS. I love the characters as well as the setting of Great Britain. All the side characters are fun like Lucy and towser as well as Danny. The villains are good criminals. Once the crime hits the papers they want to get their boodle and leave because they had already kidnapped the pups. Cruella is very scary and is kinda sick that she would kill 3 month old pups just for an article of clothing. I love anita and roger and nanny just so fun to watch. By far my favorite part of the movie is pongo himself. He seems like a laid back fun dad but will do anything to protect his pups.I miss watching video cassettes as a five year old.

Awesome review Jam 101 Dalmatians is one of my childhood classics and a total masterpiece through and through, far superior to the live action 1996 rehash. The plot kept me on my toes from start to finish, Cruella is one of Disney’s greatest villains ever, adorable puppies, Pongo and Perdita are badass, the most intense and thrilling moment in the movie their fight with Horace and Jasper. I have no negatives with this awesome Disney Flick just positives. And it’s sequel 101 Dalmatians 2 Patches London Adventure is Underrated. I’d give 101 Dalmatians 5 stars out of 5!

To think Cruella could have been The Rescuers antagonist... It would have been weird. And I’m not really a fan of the Xerox era, since the final result wasn’t as clean as in the past. It doesn’t show in 101 dalmatians but more in later films. You could still see the pencil drawings and that always bothered me.
Argh! Too much choice in your next poll! Well, time to throw the coin.

In the late 50s and throughout the 60s Disney did a lot of British stuff.

9:54 It's a shame I can't get on your Patreon cus I would've loved to vote for one these particular films. I won't say which one for spoilers. But I still love your videos and won't stop watching. Can't for the next Jambareeqi Orange.

This was the first movie I saw in the cinema. It was re-released in '95.

but the quality of the animation was compromised and Xerox Animation was adopted for financial survival.

Tzuf Ben Ishay Bairey Just because the animation doesn't look pretty and hyper-realistic, doesn't mean it's lost quality, it's simply a different style. Yes, Xeorox was introduced to save money, but like I said, it helped translate the animator's lines more faithfully, which I find more important than flair or detail

I thought the animation looked real enough, the movements still looked 3-dimensional.

Well, at least this decision brought equally important and creative masterpieces of Don Bluth and others.

Tzuf Ben Ishay Bairey You can understand why they did it, though. Disney was in a huge pickle after Sleeping Beauty, and the Xerox and 101 Dalmatian's radically different story and style to most of the previous films were two big risks that really paid off.

Yes. This film is considered a beloved classic and the live action adaptations along with its animated sequel are movies people like me grew up on.
