This film helped me to process his transition, 13 years later. I don’t even think you’ve raised your children right, if they don’t know of Michael Jackson. Energy never dies; molecules forever changed.

It's mentioned here and there about how Michael Jackson created his own songs like in his head and how the demos were pretty much finished pieces that he had instructions for the guitarist and The Pianist and everybody the drummer to sounds that he heard in his head but I wish it was emphasized more how rare that was because nobody did that. I wish they showed the demo tapes and other things like that about his creative process because those things are available on TH-cam and whatnot and it should have been put in a documentary about him to show how great he was

And this year after seeing the MJ musical in June 2024. I miss him even more....i wish he could see just how much we still love him. Its sad that Michael was so misunderstood and mocked during the latter parts of his life. I love you Michael Jackson. Always in my heart ❤

They didn't have to do anything to change Michael's image. Michael already had it in him. He was already a guy that chased girls and was into heavy metal during Thriller era way before the Bad era. He just adapted to the 'bad boy' look and style for the Bad album. Also he wrote dirty diana and the way you make me feel and most of the other songs on Bad himself.

Thank you for your excellent documentary. This is one of the best documentaries I've ever watched. It's incredibly fascinating to witness how Michael created his music and dance. Michael's story is exceptionally unique, powerful, and still heart breaking. He influenced every other artist and forever transformed the entire music industry. He was the ultimate artist, excelling in singing, dancing, and performing. Additionally, he was a talented songwriter and choreographer. Beyond his artistic talents, he was a remarkable humanitarian and activist. Michael was the most gifted dancer, yet he worked hard on his skills and maintained a strong sense of discipline; he was a true perfectionist. He held a deep love for his fans, and his fans are always loyal to him. Moreover, he had a very human side and could be quite funny at times. His success and the way he carried himself, the way he pronounced his words with his own flavor and his own style and swag set influences for years to come, they still do it in pop music today. He is an unforgettable artist; in this regard, he was magical and brilliant! We love you so much, Michael! We'll never forget your contribution to all of us! ❤

one of the best scenes compilation of expressing Michael´s death ... really hit the spot and yes.. man in the mirror and how he performed it and his energy and expression and engagement in music dance and show and .. i just can`t comprehend how bad he was treated by so many in his life... for giving so much to the music to others to inspire others to save people´s lifes !
he saved my life ! he did .. all my childhood i didn't give up living in pathological family only because of Michael`s energy and message sent to us .. i was so inspired by him and he gave me so much courage and strength to go through all abuse .. i just can´t understand why good people are always treated so bad in this world and the bad live and enjoy life for so long .
man in the mirror brought tears in my eyes every time since i was 9 and almost 40 years later ... its just incredible amount of energy in this person .. he left for us ... in his art . thank you Michael for saving my life !

What y'all don't know is that Michael had 95% of the album already completed from his personal studio in Encino. He thought his contract with Quincy Jones was up but in reality it wasn't. So MJ brought in the tapes and Quincy copied the arrangements even though they were produced by someone else he took full credit. Only man in the mirror and just good friends were really produced by Quincy Jones from the ground up. Everything else was produced by Michael Jackson, Bill Bottrel and John Barnes

12:38 I love prince I’m a fan of both. Both are absolute legends but Prince ain’t equal to Michael Jackson. Mj was in his own league . Michael was a bigger star . Come on now 😂

Were u alive during 1983-1987 ? I feel like u had to be there to actually know the magnitude and magnificence within both 💯

7:54 Michael still holds the record, no matter what Katy Perry thanks. The entire chart industry was fractured by Napster and musical tastes. By the late 90s, into the early 2000s, they weren’t as many artists hitting the top 40, a little on the top 20. So it was much easier for Katy Perry to do what she was doing, when there was not that much competition.

Personally I prefer Bad. It's mainly for nostalgic reasons. But Thriller set the blueprint for all the things he would do with Bad. Without Thriller, there is no Bad.

The part where they're praising Quincy Jones is a little iffy to me because he's getting a bit more credit than needed. Michael Jackson created the lyrics The Melodies and every single instrument and there is a lot of songs that ended up being hit like the biggest songs of Michael Jackson that Quincy didn't want out there and said they weren't going to be good so

True but Michael didn't write all of the songs on the BAD album, most of them tho..I believe it was 9 of the 11 songs on the album, which is incredible!!..But the "marriage" between Quincy and Michael was a match that was magical and made in heaven! Also let's not forget the incredible Bruce Swedian, those 3 men created music that is timeless and better than the music we hear today..Michael actually changed the way music was made to this day!! He deserves alot more credit than he gets that's for sure!! No other artist can compare or even approach the level or cause the excitement and magic that was Michael Jackson!! Gone but will never be forgotten! No other artist has affected me the way Michael has..I have such a huge appreciation and love for him and am so grateful that I grew up in that time!! ❤

it also seemed to me like jefferey daniels and vincent peterson was given a lot of credit and was discrediting michael in someway because after finishing it i felt like michael was not that much of a genius when it came to the dancing also yes jefferey did teach michael some things but michael also taught him things and that should have been spoken about and on the rehersal footage to bad michael is doing the cheography not jefferey and michael was dancing before him it would be good if michael was still here so we could get his side of it there is a old interview of the group that jefferey was in that was offended because when michael mentioned his influences he never mentioned them i notice that on different interview jefferey tries to take a lot of credit for videos the cheography like ghost smooth criminal bad like he taught michael it all when it was more of a collaboration its a shame its put out this was and he said he taught michael the moonwalk but correction he taught michael the backslide not the moonwalk theres a difference and when people look deeper at michael you can tell he is doing his own dancing you can tell its his own stuff only he can do it its not just hes copied on the basis you can see the influences but on a deeper level not.
