He's been contemptious the minute the hearing started, not HIS but the general hearing.
Zoom is still court, which means, take your headgear off, take your glasses (non perscription) off, stop eating, stop smokeing - if you cannot abide by those basic rules, zoom court should not be afforded to you.
I love that we have the abilty to get court done over zoom now, but people tend to forget "where" they are.
I don't eat and smoke in a zoom call with my employer, because it is a meeting only because I'm at home doesn't change that. Same with court.
Secondly she was not concedening to him, people mistake beeing direct and not accepting misbehaving (as layed out above) as condecending - it is not. What it is is settign ground rules within her courtroom. If you cannot abide to those rules, you have 2 main choices.
a) not abide to them and get fined for it
b) swallow your pride and file a complaint afterwards should you realy think she was inappropriate
Thing is he wanted not to abide by them AND have no consequences - which is not how court works.
The only point he may have had is that another persons situation is not his - yea correct. Doesn't change that even with his different situation he still has to abide by the court rules of conduct.

b) it was not anyone who was beeing reprimanded but someone who has been missbehaveing from before it was his case, and warned.

I felt so bad for Judge Webster when that guy started criticizing her and I am glad she stood up for herself.

Likely it would never make it all the way up to the CO other than in the form of a note that somebody had court. Lower level command would handle it. I saw stuff go both ways depending on what command I was at. Either people got hammered, or stuff swept under a rug.

If you’re in the military (I was) double jeopardy does not attach if, in fact, he’s in the Army and gets convicted here, he will face his Company Commander under UCMJ and they can take rank, pay and enforce base restrictions and extra duty - which sucks. Saw it a few times with guys getting DUIs off base. But I see some red flags that this might not be an active duty soldier.

Why don’t these judges just quote the Tenth Amendment. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” The Constitution does not address traffic so it does not reserve that for the Federal Government nor does it preclude it from the states. Ergo, the states have jurisdiction. End of argument. Done and dusted.

when i got married at 18 i [and the law] thought i was grown up. when my youngest son turned 18 i thought, 'what was i thinking.' she might be legally an adult, but she's facing a judge in court, without a lawyer. if it was me and i was only 18 i'd be scared. now i can understand why u'd think the mother was irresponsible as well, since she also forgot, but under the influence? u pulled that one out of ur... ear.

September 2, 2024: If the rank is correct on Johnson, which shows SFC or Sargent First Class. This means he is a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer that has had been in a position of authority and importantly responsible for all sodiers below his rank and guide even Juniior Commissioned Officers to comply to rules and regulations. As a Retiree of twenty years of service in the Army his behavior is a disgrace to all who served and serving. Taken another view he may have some mental health concerns. I understand as a soldier and a mother this man disgust me. He seems to be a bit confussed, sleepy or maybe under the influence or just tired. Possible sleep deprivation. If he is active duty this is not going to go well. His service to the country has to be noted but does not excuse this behavior. The military officials would have as we say it “locked his heels”. He would be at attention, looking straight ahead and not say a word.
