She has actually said that every time she's been attacked her sales have gone up.

Before I deleted my Twitter (I don't enjoy that platform), I saw the tweet where JKR said if this thing should be settled in court and loved it so much. She had every right to stand up to herself against these lunatics. I'm glad that she won the case.

The game is called, Simple Distinctions: One person started a horrible war, created an ideology that was used to convince others to brutalize, torture and murder millions of people based on "purity of race" This person was almost responsible for changing the world order into a nightmare hellscape. Another person created a world that taught children to love themselves and others. To feel ok about being different and created characters that victims of bullying could identify with. He got away with a slap on the wrist, if he had continued spreading lies about Rowling I would've been cool with him getting a big juicy fine for that, it's a crime after all and where would society be heading, if it was suddenly ok for people to spread the most vicious lies about others with 0 consequences, it could happen to everyone then and I don't think anyone would want that, so he should feel lucky that the consequence for him was to just get a bit humiliated.

In the USA you have the First Amendment, in the UK we have the right to free speech. What you can't do is libel or slander someone simply because you find their opinion offensive. What I would find offensive is being told my female child had to share a public toilet facility with hulking great big men wearing dresses, skirts and make-up some with a beard claiming they are a woman. Use your common sense and create a completely separate WC and washroom facility, but these strange folk don't want that as there will be no audience to outrage, just people like them trying to shock!

Saying she lost a massive amount of her fan base isn't really true, she lost an extremely vocal and extemist minority. The success of Hogwarts Legacy is enough evidence of that, if they were a sizable portion of the community, wouldn't the boycot have been in the slightest bit successful?
the difference is that a large amount of her fan base’s loyalty is to the harry potter franchise, not her as a person. people are beginning to separate art from the artist. unfortunately, as harry potter is her work, she profits from sales. but all in all, she lost many supporters that actually liked her after she made those transphobic comments.

Go educate yourself on what she actually said in her tweets and interviews concerning her concerns about women in the UK. Unlike others with money and fame, she thought of females more vulnerable than herself and the safeguarding of children. JKR has a growing fanbase of grateful females plus new young readers who are discovering her brilliant HP books for the first time. Any ex fan who can't cope with biological fact is better off finding another form of fantasy to follow - perhaps they already have - I wish them well with their ideological pursuits. Considering all the horrible things that people have said about JK Rowling, she is within her rights to take it to court. Regardless of someone’s personal views, the amount of attacks she has received makes them no better then the woman that they are painting her to be. The worst part is they aren’t even stopping to sit down calmly with her and talk about it. Is JK a horrible person? I don’t know since I don’t know that much about the situation. The only thing I do know is that people on both sides have said horrible things about each other instead of calmly sitting down to talk it out in a respectful manner.

Ok I’m seeing a lot of people essentially saying in the comments “why has his channel become political?”
Well the reason why that happened and why he couldn’t stay quiet about this stuff anymore is because people have literally threatened his baby boy to death, his honest to no sin at all baby boy was threatened to death by people and he couldn’t take it anymore and had too say something about that (and in all honesty he has full l right to do so). It was at that point it became more political on his channel as once he said something he could not turn back now, if he stayed quiet after making that video that talked about his baby boy getting threatened it would actually do more harm than good to be quiet again about other stuff politically going on in the Harry Potter community so he made the honestly wise decision to continue to talk about more as it.
He’s doing exactly what a lot of people would do in his situation, for a long time he was quiet about this stuff but once people took their threats he was getting just because he was doing Harry Potter content to far and started death threatening he baby boy he believed and fully rightfully so he could no long stay quiet about this stuff anymore and once he said something he could no long go back so he now has to be more political on his channel.
