Good stuff, Hollace. It’s good to play with a lot of different people the way you do. I always learned a lot when playing with a variety of musicians, and often heard one of the other instruments play something that I incorporated in my own playing (banjo). Of course, musicians would never steal licks from each other, so I call it borrowing.😂
You never let me down. I've been showing others your talent as a musician. I'm so glad I found you..😊 Hollace your the best, hope to see you play at Floyds this summer.
And here I was going to compliment you on how pretty your hair looks and accentuates your perfect ears! Thanks to Mr. Oakes for the cinematography and all the youths in the circle who, graciously, are addicted to the FUN to which Miss Oakes refers so emphatically.
I love how everyone gets to have a turn.... is that called dueling leads? Ethan's bass was great. Also loved your jumper Hollace and your "ready for bed" hair :). .. well it was late.
Thanks, Ash! It is called 'taking a break'--every musician in the ring has the choice to take a turn playing their instrument on that particular song. Yes, Ethan is a great bass player! You are correct--it was LATE! Every night at these events is late due to the jamming! :)
Here you are having fun again. You're also putting variations on the melody when it's your turn - are those easy for you to generate/calculate/create? It's awesome that your folks are able to make these connections for you. - I wonder how the boy manages to transport his base (with its case) to various events. But the base players are a definite part of any ensemble.
It was FUN! :). It's only been about a year or so that I've been adding my own variations to traditional tunes; I really like doing that. It makes the song more 'mine'. Bass players are not only good musicians, they have to be strong! They have to carry those behemoths everywhere they plan on playing! Not an easy task, but they sure do make a band sound better!
Hollace, a few weeks ago I asked you for one post per day, I think you're not far from that! Do all those young people sleep sometimes? All the best Didier from France

Wow. Seeing a group of young people staying up until 2am for wholesome and productive activities is nice. Y'all keep it up. Thanks, Hollace!
Thanks for the kind words! It's always fun to jam with these amazing musicians!

Thank you so much for sharing my music with others! I really appreciate it! And, you'll definitely see me around Floyd Country Store soon! :)

The other mandolin player is Jacob Thomas from Kingston, Tennessee.
Excellent! Great to see some mandolins, and, first time I've ever loved the upright bass so much, well done Ethan Chappell!
Thanks! It was a fun night of jamming!
Excellent jam! Y'all sure do have the energy for the music!
It was FUN! :)
Very interesting the way you guys held back for the bass solo! Great job! Go Hollace!

Great fiddeling 👍👍👍
Thank you so much! :)

Y'all were tight! Good to see that bluegrass and traditional music keep getting passed down to the younger generation.
It's great to be a part of this tradition!

'Ask and you shall receive'!!! :). At an event like this, sleep is hard to come by! :). We're all making up for it this week!
