Most commercial dish-soaps are soap concentrate, colouring, and water, so this is a good lesson in the usefulness of basic soaps, or their homemade counterparts.
How beautiful and green your lawn looks and the blooming of all the trees. The rain makes everything grow so beautifully. We have squirrels in my yard that love to dig up our tomato and basil plants. This was a great idea for making your own dish soap, I ordered two bottles of dish soap two weeks ago and they haven’t even been shipped yet. It’s insanity out there. Everyone is buying up all of the laundry soap and dish soap like it’s liquid gold or something. I wish this would end soon, I want my normal life back again! Have a wonderful evening Tessie and thanks for another great video. Please stay safe!💕
It is pouring rain here and the wind is blowing hard. Your yard and plants are looking beautiful. My moma used bar soap to wash dishes with for years. Have a blessed day.
Tessie, your yard and deck are looking amazing.... really beautiful. I have learned so much from you. I felt I needed to share this with you..... for some reason since the quarantine I have stopped watching tv, instead I have been keeping busy with projects and trying to learn something new everyday... your videos have helped me with that. Thank you for making videos everyday. I look forward to them EVERYDAY. You are the only TH-camr that I watch everyday. Thank you for teaching me so many new things, thank you for teaching me to be proud of what I have and who I am, thank you for just being you. I truly thank you... you have changed my life.
I just rub my sponge/scrubbie on a bar of soap and wash my dishes that way like I read that a lot of people in Europe do. Works great! You have a really pretty yard and deck!
Good evening Tessie, I use Castile soap, and distilled water for dish soap, you can pour this into a spray bottle. I use Castile soap for everything from dog wash to cleaning my car, and my favorite is foaming hand soap. 😊
Wow that was easy. That is one smart squirrel hope he doesn't do to much damage to your plants. That Azalea bush beautiful everything is growing so nice. Can't wait to see your lilacs and bloom. Keep smiling sweetie xoxo
Tessie this is what I have been doing with the soap scraps from the bath after they have gone down to a sliver I save everyone of them and I met them down in hot water to make good hand soup or for the kitchen as well:) Works amazing :) Oh yes I have lots of squirrel's around getting into everything:) Oh well I have yet to get going planting here:) Today was not to bad had lots of nice things delivered to me celebrating my birthday :) I'll give pictures soon:) Such a nice pleasant day today:) Your property looks beautiful :) Love you my Sister:) God Bless you and Ken :)
I don't generate many dishes these days. For the longest time I literally had just a bar of Ivory next to the sink and would just run my dishrag over it. I definitely recommend having a liquid soap for ease, though! I would add vinegar to the rinse water for the residue from the soap.
You are so right Tessie about the older shrubbery, so stately and beautiful. Loved this video! Can't wait to get all the supplies and make this. Love ya Tessie
Looks like a fun thing to try. I have never made dish soap so I am happy to have a recipe to follow. It was nice to see it in action too when you washed your dishes. Thank you for the detailed explanation.
Love it Tessie I always learn so much from you. Your land and your deck look so beautiful. Love the pink azalea and oh my gosh you have such a green thumb! and all of the rain has really paid off because everything looks so lush and green. God bless you and your
Yes, this homemade dish soap does work and it is amazing! I've been making my own soap and shampoo bars for years, and I make this recipe with just basic bath soap scented with lavender essential oil, and add a little extra lavender for the dish soap.
One homemade cleaner is in one gallon of water add one cup chlorine bleach and one tablespoon liquid dish soap and mix it up and it cleans the bathroom and kitchen well.
Sudsy bubbles make us Americans feel cleaner. The toothpaste companies actually add it to toothpaste because we DO wants to see suds. When I found that out I started using plain baking soda to brush my teeth. Thanks sister Tessie🇺🇸🙋♀️🦋💜
Tammy Hanson, I mix baking soda, bentonite clay, activated charcoal together. Add a few drops of of peppermint or spearmint essential oil for flavor. If you have a periodontal disease in your mouth you could even add a few drops of tea tree oil or thieves oil. If you use the thieves oil you can drop off the peppermint or spearmint.
I love this! I heard that if you bake baking soda it turns into washing soda. I haven't tried it because I think it would take alot of time to do. I think you have to do it for many hours. I'll just buy it. Lol! I'll give that a try, your dish soap.
Tessie, you should try & root some of that beautiful Azalea. Just find a branch that's laying on or close to the ground, gently pull it down, till it touches the soil, then lay a heavy rock on it & in a few months you will have another Azalea, just cut it from the Mother , dig it out & plant it ! I do my Azaleas, Rhodies, etc like that a lot ! We love our free plants ! We are supposed to have heavy thunderstorms here late tonight & tomorrow morning, with a flash flood warning !
I use Borax in my carpet shampooer. I still use the carpet cleaner, hot water and I sprinkle some Borax in. When I am done and the carpet is dry, it looks like brand new carpet has been laid. I have 2 dogs. You would never know it.....
Squirrels are digging in my pot too! Had planted lettuce and kale seeds in pots and they are all dug up. If that isn't sweet william in that pot, maybe it's dianthesis...they get little flat flowers and smell like carnations. I say this because I had a pot of them last year and kept the pot outside and all of a sudden it greened up and looks full. The petals are thin, but stems are full.
Tessie your house is beautiful esp. Your yard you my yard has never grown grass its just dirty i got two big beautiful trees. GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILY.
I just made this recipe for dish soap, and Wow Tessie it works great!! I left the tea tree oil out because of my fur baby. It works very good to wash dishes!!😍 Thank you for sharing my friend!! 😊❤
The plants on your porch and your flower bushes are beautiful Tessie. What an awesome idea, making your own dish soap. I am gonna have to try it. Love You Sweet Sister. You all stay safe and well. God Bless Y'all. Hugggggs

Hi Tessie, thanks for sharing your soap recipe :) your yard looks so pretty and yes it's been raining here too- hope that the sun comes out tomorrow. 😊✌❤🌼 your friend from ohio.
Thank you Tessie! I have made laundry soap and haven't even thought about making dish soap! Most soaps on the market I am allergic too. And while I do use gloves - it is just not enough. Stuff just happens, soap not rinsed well out of the rag, etc. I am definitely going to be doing this. 😄. Sometimes you just have to draw me a picture 😂. I know that suds absolutely doesn't clean, and I know it is a mental thing, but I must have my suds....I have no idea why. Stay safe and healthy.
Hi Tessie, like this and love the essential oils you added for antibacterial!! Thanks for sharing. Glad ya got some sun, we have a rainy day here today but hoping we will see the sun soon as well. Love love love the shrub!!!! Take care and God bless!! ♥️✝️✝️✝️♥️

Thanks, Tessie. A friend's husband used to make fun of me because I stored about 15-20 bottles of dish soap. I always bought them with coupons and wanted to make sure I never ran out. No one's laughing now! 😄. Getting a bit lower now so I'm going to try your recipe. 👍💜
Love this video, thank you Theresa. After losing 3 parents recently we've inherited bars of 'fancy' soaps. My idea is to grate them, turn into liquid soap so this will really help! I never keep Tea Tree oil because we have cats and it is HIGHLY toxic to them. Your yard, garden and shrubs are beautiful! We've had a very dry Spring so we've had to water regularly and it isn't as lush looking as your property. Since my mom passed in December we have to get her home ready to sell and sadly, buyers here don't like mature landscaping so we must prune severely. That has made hubby and I think we need to prune heavily too in case our home might need to sell unexpectedly. You never know with the current virus. I'm happy that several of the folks' shrubs are 60 yrs old and still healthy, vibrant and young looking. Young buyers will hopefully not know just how old those shrubs really are! Their lot has a big yard for a garden too in case young buyers might be interested. I hope someone interested in being able to live off a big piece of suburban land gets it and has the smarts to find videos like yours to give them the education to get the most out of it for their family.
I have made dish soap for 2 years now. To be honest I like suds lol. I started adding Dawn to all my containers because my soap didn't cut grease even with Borax.
