I would love to see basically the opposite of this grungy comfort zone color scheme, pick a shade you usually don't use (like that turquoise Adept single you nearly decluttered) and try to make it work for you.
I have never been more satisfied than I was watching those rectangular shadows fit into that palette perfectly.
The custom palette is like a grungy spring with the greenish & rose tones. This video is so cozy while it rains outside :)

These single shadow videos are a new found love I never knew I needed!
I love these vids so much! Last summer I depotted every eyeshadow palette I physically could. It’s the eyeshadow equivalent of up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A Start.
I did that last summer as well as repanning annoying sized shades and pressing some pigments. It was a joyous weekend!
My collection is small and it's smaller since I grouped together all my magnetic pans. I have two Juvias Place palettes, Tribe and Nomad. They should live together but that is easier said than done.

I just love, love, love your overhead videos and specifically the single shadow ones. I have a ridiculous and embarrassing amount of singles that I’m trying to streamline but..I’m struggling. I play during the entirety of your videos and then go back to rewatch your singles declutter and the organization follow-up. I’m trying to embrace my inner HLP but I find myself balking. I wish you were an accountability coach that texts me when I hesitate!

What really helped me declutter me was to just pull out the shadows I wanted to declutter and put them into deeper storage. By the time I remembered about them I realized they'd been gone for so long that I didn't need them. That might help if you having trouble pulling the trigger.
@@cinemaocd1752 my problem is that when I fall in love with a formula, I buy the entire inventory. Now, I have hundreds of singles that have such repetition I get overwhelmed. It’s more so a battle of formulas I want to keep vs colors. I no longer buy entire inventories but haven’t figured out the first step to eliminate the numbers. Any advice is helpful and if anyone wants to share I’d be grateful. I actually found Hannah’s channel because I needed someone who encouraged enjoying what you have and streamlining it down to what you love. I decluttered hundreds of singles (thank you HLP) from brands that I just don’t like but now I’m left with hundreds from brands/formulas that I LOVE. Sorry for rambling...I just wanted to explain my revolving thoughts.
@@jessicastakes-upshaw9575 maybe if you love them, and you rotate through them then you don't need to declutter further?
But I suppose I'd try using all the shadows from one brand for a month (making different palettes out of them that inspire you) and then after that month, any colour that just didn't suit you or make you go yes! when you used it, to put in a different drawer. After going through all the brands then you can see if there are correlations between the shadows you didn't adore on your face and maybe consider decluttering them.
@@domtresco3364 that’s actually a really solid idea, thanks! I just went through and pulled my favorites that I repeatedly grab for to put in “jail” so I can move on to seeing what I’d pull for next. Since I’m at this step, I’ll utilize your advice and see where that gets me. Thanks!
I'm am unsure why, and I know this seems weird, but it's really pleasing for some reason when you say the word 'eyeshadow'. It's like you have a slightly different inflection or something, and I like it...

Just a super random FYI, I’m not sure if you’re aware, but I contacted Kaleidos CS to see if their shadows are magnetic because I wanted to mix them with my singles and their team informed me that the 6 pan palettes are magnetic (not Escape Pod or Club Nebula). I thought of you because you spoke about how you like the black in your Sci-Fi Green palette so I wasn’t sure if you’re aware they are in fact magnetic. Just thought i’d let you know!

this is funny, I was thinking about building a new palette out of my singles, so I sat down & did that as I watched your video. I didn't have a color story in mind, I put together shadows that I wanted to play with more. I am excited to use it, but I'm already wearing makeup today.

I have been meaning to ask Joe to compile this info for the description box! The actual mic is a Rode video mic pro, I'll put the link in the description box right now. But there are other things about the audio that make it better than it used to be (I've been using this mic for over a year). Joe put it on a boom so it's actually pretty close to my face, even in the talking heads videos. I think he does something in post-production too that helps to filter out background noise.

I got my 2020 order of Clionadh shadows from the restock, including "Weathered" that super shiny chartreuse shimmer, and haven't been able to stop using them ever since. I had all these project pan ideas that flew out the window when I saw the shiny.
