I think a lot of the issues are that he’s slow in going through his progressions. He also has some doubt when he does see an opening. He does need more reps. Ideally he would’ve got this in college, but here we are. A lot of his balls get batted down by the DBs, I’m guessing because they’re coming out late. Hes constantly double pumping, when there is no reason to do so. He cant lead a receiver to save his life. He throws AT the receivers, not where theyre going to be, when the ball gets there. His footwork is awful. His decision making, is awful. ball placement, is awful. You look at that tape, and he was 10 of 32, because every single play, he was going for the homerun, instead of trying to move the sticks. Guys where open almost every single play, and hes throwing it deep, every single play. Like he couldnt figure out that they where blitzing 2 out of 3 downs. On the TD pass to a wide open Josh Downs, he almost under threw it so bad, it almost wasnt a completion. Down had to come back to get it, and he caught it at his knees. Riddle me this, you have 2 choices in life. You can be the help that brings people up or you can act as the nail in their coffin. Who would you rather be? Narratives in football and its media have gone way too far towards facebook faceless smack talking key board commandos, who'd get punched in the mouth for talking crap like people do. Just in case let me spell it out further for all my readers. Of course we know all the thoughts on Anthony Richardson. Got washed up people like Cam and Chase Daniels just bagging on a guy. You know what would be cool. To be realistic with a kid, give me solid as hell devise and talk him up. He's young, impressionable and talented. For what everyone says about his game, he's got all the things needed to be one of the best QB's in the game to date. So let these narratives play out thru podcasts and team rep-casts but the truth is that while it's good to hit an wall in your life, in a matter of speaking, there's no need to throw someone into it. Give him advice, send him your prayers, say something positive. Just cause it's a "big boys" league don't mean you can't lend a hand out. Or you know what, ask the man a question. I mean, how many of your listeners and football watchers know anything about him. Me for one would like to see a show for when someone's doing bad in the NFL that takes time to shine a light on their life. Where'd he go to school, what's his favorites play calls, what's he think about the sate of college football and the nfl, etc? I mean it'd actually be educational and productive. It's this kind of talk that says more about the individuals talking more than it does the player. Btw what exactly was Ballard and Steichen's "plan" for anthonyrichardson ? Cause i thought it was to take your time and work this kid up? If other teams are actually calling the Colt's to see about trading for him that just shows you what the rest of the league thinks about the Colts brass. Last but not least, to all the NFL teams, I am for hire and work for food. Seven days a week Fourteen hours a day. Film Grinder.
Yours truly,
The Untrained Football Eye
Not a coincidence that so many receivers drop his passes....he doesn't throw catchable balls.
Bo Nix just as bad.
He has played less QB then basically anyone ever to get drafted that high. Put a lot of pressure on him with the roster thet have. Hope they make the right call with him could be a better josh allen
You check out of the game and you aren’t established?! You’re going to carry that label possibly forever. Quitter.
I thought Anthony Richards was kinda soft when he got knocked out the game for barely bumping into a cornerback
And when that happened I know everybody had to be wondering if hes even man enough to play this game
I cant understand how you could be so big and athletic but yet so weak and soft
Tapped out
AR15 scouting report was elite athletic, sub par everything else, injury prone and in accurate. CJ was the only true 1st round grade in 23. I had a 2nd round grade on AR, Young and Levis
mommy boy . why he soft.
